- (01:37:36)<Meike>I wanted to tell let someone know that it is final. I'll be leaving now, very likely for ever. I can't handle being in here, where favoritism and abuse of power run rampart. Possibly I might be convinced to return. I doubts it. If anyone asks, or wants to contact me, send me an email to [email protected] . I've had my fun in the mansion, but that fun is gone now. character-wise, Meike is gone, leaving nothing behind, her room empty of anything. Thank you for such
- (01:38:27)<Rae>Cuts off after "Thank you for such".
- (01:39:29)<Rae>That said, I am trying to cut down on favoritism, and Quill plans to inform Jackal of Macchi's actions. As do I.
- (01:39:41)<Rae>Last I checked, Jackal himself said Macchi was on thin ice.
- (01:40:42)<Rae>A last chance, really.
- (01:41:02)<Meike>Whatever. It was thank you for such great moments. And frankly, I feel like my presence won't even be missed here. So, if anyone thinks otherwise, feel free to email me. I may just change my mind.
- (01:41:16)<Rae>I will miss your presence.
- (01:42:14)<Rae>I mean that.
- (01:42:59)<Meike>And you are probably the only one. Lately I've felt my characters shift to the background, never taking part in anything important.
- (01:43:23)<Rae>Hmm.
- (01:43:45)<Rae>Let's assume Meike wanted Quill's attention. Quill's in the kitchen, reading or something.
- (01:44:12)<Rae>She says "Hey!" or such to him, he doesn't notice or ignores her.
- (01:44:18)<Rae>How would you have Meike act?
- (01:45:01)<Meike>Realistically. Meike would, depending on the importance of why she wanted his attention keep nagging or let it go.
- (01:45:22)<Rae>Let's assume average level importance.
- (01:46:59)<Meike>Well, Meike would keep nagging, possibly take the book away until they paid her mind.
- (01:47:09)<Rae>Hmmm.
- (01:47:13)<Rae>Same goes for Viintas?
- (01:47:32)<Meike>Viintas would just be loud and obnoxious.
- (01:47:34)<Meike>Problems
- (01:47:40)<Rae>Huh?
- (01:47:49)<Meike>Problem is that even once they have Quill's attention,
- (01:48:13)<Meike>Someone, basically anyone, comes by and takes his attention away.
- (01:48:36)<Rae>Ah.
- (01:49:26)<Rae>How many plots can you think of where one of your characters is a/the central focus?
- (01:50:49)<Meike>Other than the recent one where Meike got pissed and wanted to eat, none.
- (01:51:06)<Meike>And even then, the focus was quick to shift to Floofy.
- (01:51:24)<Rae>I would advise trying to do more plots focused on one of your characters.
- (01:52:44)<Meike>Except I can't
- (01:52:50)<Rae>Because?
- (01:52:57)<Meike>Because nobody does anything with either of them.
- (01:53:10)<Rae>That is the point of a character-centric plot.
- (01:53:27)<Rae>Come up with something to happen, or have one of your characters do that prompts interaction.
- (01:53:34)<Rae>**do something
- (01:54:10)<Meike>And sure, something will start, until they all leave to be with others. It happened. Several times.
- (01:54:22)<Rae>Oh?
- (01:54:37)<Rae>Name the plots centric to one or more of your characters where that happened.
- (01:56:25)<Meike>None. Because they all leave before anything can happen.
- (01:56:39)<Rae>Give examples.
- (01:58:12)<Meike>Clearly nobody likes interacting with the non-ponies of the mansion. Any time Viintas goes around calling for stuff. Which I do because I want a scene. Meike and Tokage's battle, in which Tokage god modded then shrugged off as if it had been nothing.
- (02:06:04)<Meike>Anyway, thank you for the good times and good bye. If anyone wants to tell me something, tell them to do so at [email protected]
- (02:06:10)<Rae>Sorry, got distracted.
- (02:06:37)<Rae>I'm sorry to hear all that.
