First impressions are everything

"And now for another story, pro-hero Popsy once again finds herself in the middle of a controversy as..."

The television can be heard throughout the teacher's lounge. Right now classes are in session so there's only one person inside, currently seated on the couch. Ito smiles as he enjoys some decent sandwitch leftovers he found in the garbage bin.

"That's 500 yens saved up."

Life may be hard, but right now? No student to pester him? No worries about having to eat for the next 36 hours at least? Hearing about someone even more pathetic than him on tv? Right now life is good.

"Ah, there you are Ito!"
But life is a cruel mistress. In an instant, his haven is interrupted by the arrival of the school principal. The shock is so sudden that Ito almost chokes on his meal. Time to go back to his work mode.

"What is it? Is there a student in need of my help?"
"Oh no none of that. I'm here for something else."
Anzu casually walks up to the couch and sits next to him. In spite of still being fairly new in her role as principal, she seems to try to appear approachable to the rest of the staff.

"Ito, I have a client I want you to handle. Outside of school." Ito by this point has already gotten up to wash his hands.
"A student? I'm sorry but I cannot see them outside of school grounds."
"Not a student, an adult. See I have a friend that I believe would greatly benefit from seeing a therapist. Well, she has to see one actually. You're the best one I know." Ito's back is still facing Anzu so she cannot see his face and the puzzled look he has.
"You know a lot of therapists principal?"
"No but that's not the question! Come on Ito, do me this solid!"

Finally with his hands having met an acceptable standard of cleanliness, Ito faces Anzu.
"I wish I could, but I'm swamped principal. Taking care of our students is a full time job you know? If I were to spend energy on  outside clients how could I claim to be doing my du.."
"Oh and also the pay is really good."
No words are exchanged for a moment until finally
"When and where?"

(The following day, late in the afternoon.)
Akagi is scrambling around in a hurry. How could she have woken up so late? She set up her alarm and everything! First impressions are everything and if the psychologist sees her appartment in this state, he's gonna find her unfit to continue work as a hero! And if that happens she'll have to get a job as a lady of the night or something and get tangled up in shady buisnesses until she gets sent to jail!

"NO! THIS IS THE DAY THE HERO POPSY TURNS IT AROUND!"
If she can pull it off, her life will be back on track. All she has to do is stick to the plan.

1)Open the window. Let the smell of cigarettes out and the fresh air in.
2)Get rid of the trash littered around the place.
3)Buy a plant to show that she is capable of taking care of a living being.

And so Akagi is in a frenzy. She can feel her heart weakly beat as it is fighting the alcohol currently in her system that threatens to come out. In her desperation, she even goes for a sip of water from the sink. Once again, the alarm rings. This means she only has 10 minutes left before he's here.

"NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO!!"
No time to do things properly. The bag of trash is thrown out the window and thankfully lands into bushes where she will be able to get it later. Somewhere in her bathroom, she finds some deodorant that was probably left here by the previous tenant. Not the freshest smell but it beats that of cigarettes. No more time to run to the flower shop. Instead, she goes outside and takes some grass and some dirt that she places in a pot. The "plant" is shabby looking, but alive. The appartment looks and smells just about clean enough to pass for the place of a respectable, contributing member of society. First impressions are everything and Akagi might just pull off making a good one. A knock is heard at the door.

"Hello? I am the therapist sent by Principal Nishima."
"Yes, one moment please."
Akagi's voice cracked a bit but whatever. She slowly walks towards the door and opens it. She's greeted by the sight of a man in his late twenties.
"Hello, my name is Akagi Sanpatchi. I am pleased to make your acquaintance."
She did it. This day marks a turning point in Akagi's life. Years down the line when she's talking to her fans, she will be able to point to this single event as the one that set her back on track.
"Hello, nice to meet...Wait, are you that hero who was accused of stealing some crown and had to confess to being drunk while on patrol?"
First impressions truly are everything.
