  1. Myir growled in disappointment at what he was dealing with, wrench in hand as he tightened some bolts before he placed it in his mouth and skittered around the large ancient portal, moving in a swirling motion straight down before he reached the floor. He stood up on his two feet before gently removing the wrench out of his mouth and tapping it slowly against his snout, he had an angered focused expression on his face as he stared down the broken down portal. The portal had been here for ages, a large beast stood ahead of him towering over him, an ancient beast that stood time itself yet wasn't exempt of its consequences. The large beast stood wounded in front of him, motionless and silent, unable to hum loudly at him, unable to blind him with its lights, unable to tempt him to approach closer. Myir didn't need its temptation, he was already mesmerized by its beauty and history, he had already approached the beast multiple times, he just wished he had seen it in its full glory instead. Myir was standing in front of an ancient portal, a portal that was used by many decades ago to reach multiple lands and transport multiple goods to exchange with each other, though time had taken its toll on it, people forgot it and left it to rot here all alone just because they didn't want to take care of it just like how it took care of them and their endless needs. Myir growled at that thought, he couldn't believe people would dare do such a thing to a piece of history like this, his frustration was high especially due to him not being able to do much progress on it since he started working on it. He wanted to bring it back to its former glory, or at least get it back working, get people back to using it, maybe just leave it as a working part of history. He honestly didn't know what he wanted to do with the portal after it was fixed, it needed a lot of work, inside and out. The vegetation had taken over it as well, it was one of Myir's biggest problems that he was dealing with throughout his process of repairing it. A lot of things would have started working just fine if it wasn't for the dirt and plants that took refuge inside the metal beast, cleaning them out was the most time consuming task of his journey with this beast. Myir scratched his head and mumbled to himself, he knew it wasn't the only problem with the beast, it being ancient technology with multiple missing pieces didn't help either, he wasn't sure if the vegetation or the missing or broken parts are the most difficult part of his journey, he honestly couldn't decide as both were as frustrating as ever. He wasn't even sure which he should start on as his first objective, he has been just doing both depending on what currently halted his progress while working on the beast. Myir continued tapping the wrench against his snout, unsure of where to start working on again now that he had calmed down a bit and could actually think. He could repair the control panel that he had worked on yesterday, it was quite promising, maybe he could get it up and running again? It would definitely be very helpful in the long run especially if he could access the diagnostic system and see the where all the damage is and where he should really start working on so he could get the beast working again.

  3. Myir stopped standing around and got to work, he opened the control panel and started fixing it, pulling and twisting things, welding wires together and screwing things back together. He might have spent all day working on the panel but it was looking very promising so he continued his work, pushing through the night until the stars started to shine through. He swiped the sweat off his forehead as he had finished screwing the interface screen back onto the panel, he was very proud of himself for the work that he had accomplished so much though he was trying to feel anxious, he wasn't sure if the panel would work after all the work he had put into it but he was very hopeful that it would. Myir slowly reached for the on switch before he flipped it on, nothing had happened for a moment before the control panel screen light up. Myir smiled in excitement, it was working he had thought to himself as he started to tap and click using his fingers against the screen quickly, things were looking good and he was just filled with so much excitement, he had switched to the diagnostic system and he could finally see what he had left to do to get this thing running again. Myir grinned in absolute glee, the diagnostic system result was more then what he was hoping for. He had already fixed most of the damage, he honestly only needed to do a clean up on the inside and replace the few missing part. He could absolutely get this thing running in a few days if he wanted to, a week or so max. Myir saw a challenge, a challenge worthy of his expertise and he was all in for it and he had a plan already in mind. Tomorrow he continues work, now he only need to rest so he can have enough energy to get the whole thing running again. Nothing can stop him now, not with everything he had already set in motion.

  5. Myir was already started working on the portal before sunrise, he couldn't see for too long due to his excitement, he can finally finish his project and it was only a few days away. He had continued working hard relentlessly for hours on end, determined to finish the repair on the beast and get it working like it used to, everything success he had reached only powered him to push forward, more work, more polish, the checklist only grew more with every successful repair. He could feel he was close, he was really close and he couldn't wait to see everything up and working like it's supposed to. Another day goes by and Myir rests, feeling exhausted after working so hard for the past few days, he just has a few more things to do and the beast would be ready for tomorrow, the final day after all of this time, he's going to see the light of the portal. Myir laid down and watched the stars, relaxing for the night, he needed to catch a breather for tomorrow, he wasn't done yet, he still had a few things to do before he could turn the portal on, the diagnostic scan might take the longest out of everything due to how much the control panel needs to scan and verify that it is working before Myir could dare try to turn it on. Myir closed his eyes and hoped for the best as he began to drift to sleep for the night, he needs to get rest if he wanted to finish everything up properly tomorrow.

  7. Myir tapped quickly on the screen, the diagnostic system scan had finished up, he was anxious with excitement as he was setting up everything in the system before he turned the portal on. Everything was finally in place, all he needed to do was press the button, he stared at it for a moment before he did so. The portal started humming with electricity before it became to glow, it stayed like that for a moment before a loud boom was heard as light exploded from within the portal, it continued humming quietly as Myir covered his face for a moment due to the bright glow of the portal before his eyes adjusted to it. Myir started in excitement, the beast was finally working, this piece of history lives again with such energy and excitement, Myir couldn't contain his happiness as he stared breathless at the beast. The project he had been working on for so long had finally been completed, the beast that he had been tending its wounds finally awaken. Myir had done it, he had finally done it and now he can let everyone know about the ancient beast, it can finally be appreciated again. Myir may need to leave the beast so he can continue on a new project but he will always come back to check on his beast and care for it.
