  5. from the near future that's right you
  6.  
  7. are experiencing some of these patch
  8.  
  9. notes in our five five snap tests that
  10.  
  11. people have been planning the last
  12.  
  13. couple days as we are now all of the
  14.  
  15. stuff that we broke while building five
  16.  
  17. five because that always always happens
  18.  
  19. it just doesn't yeah you're in there
  20.  
  21. stuff gets every time you pull the
  22.  
  23. engine out sometimes it you forget to
  24.  
  25. put a bolt back there's a full effect
  26.  
  27. yeah or you're like hey all right
  28.  
  29. anyways so we are going to do this is
  30.  
  31. our reading of the patch notes you guys
  32.  
  33. are familiar with this for those of you
  34.  
  35. have been here before and we are gonna
  36.  
  37. tell you some of the reasoning why we
  38.  
  39. did some of the things it's not just a
  40.  
  41. reading of the patch notes it also
  42.  
  43. explains what we were thinking
  44.  
  45. in some cases will be worth thinking and
  46.  
  47. let's do it
  48.  
  49. everyone should know what this
  50.  
  51. background is I think they won two
  52.  
  53. Oscars in fact for this movie I believe
  54.  
  55. the count is this movie versus last Jedi
  56.  
  57. two to zero our Oscars yes okay so we
  58.  
  59. are here in our baseline test room and
  60.  
  61. now we're gonna read some patch notes
  62.  
  63. okay
  64.  
  65. keeps will not properly convert their
  66.  
  67. graveyard faction when they switch
  68.  
  69. factions this is most noticeable if you
  70.  
  71. died in a keep and you returned to your
  72.  
  73. beach head instead of your faction own
  74.  
  75. keep okay bug fix isn't just made to the
  76.  
  77. login issue players we're having I have
  78.  
  79. no clue what that means apparently was
  80.  
  81. an issue the parent wasn't issue very
  82.  
  83. much added new passive ethereal sight
  84.  
  85. which increases plethora of dust basic
  86.  
  87. resources by five percent whenever a
  88.  
  89. basic or intermediate tool is equipped
  90.  
  91. yeah I did that yesterday in fact it was
  92.  
  93. in response to some of the we need more
  94.  
  95. dust doesn't increase the chance that
  96.  
  97. the dust
  98.  
  99. fall through the ground it does in fact
  100.  
  101. not but it's not falling through the
  102.  
  103. ground actually so dust is one of our
  104.  
  105. duper types that there is no actual 3d
  106.  
  107. object in the center they were just
  108.  
  109. using an effect and then Mark was
  110.  
  111. pulling those and dumping them back into
  112.  
  113. the object pool and sometimes they just
  114.  
  115. wouldn't turn back on in fact most of
  116.  
  117. the times they wouldn't turn on so when
  118.  
  119. he pulled it out of the pool to get a
  120.  
  121. new one it would in fact not turn on
  122.  
  123. which is why you see a light glow on the
  124.  
  125. ground it's not actually under the
  126.  
  127. ground it's still there at that location
  128.  
  129. so if you were to walk over that
  130.  
  131. location you would have picked it up so
  132.  
  133. yes people just weren't noticing them
  134.  
  135. well however between that new passive
  136.  
  137. that you can get by making a minor
  138.  
  139. discipline ethereal sight it's just
  140.  
  141. under the basic ritual section in your
  142.  
  143. book you can now get up to ten percent
  144.  
  145. with the potion and that for dust from
  146.  
  147. basic stuff so they have it sometimes
  148.  
  149. the dust does sit on the ground yep okay
  150.  
  151. it's the issue with the part rate not
  152.  
  153. showing properly on the first log India
  154.  
  155. that was pretty frustrating fix
  156.  
  157. rubber-banding when using powers that
  158.  
  159. set the pushed flag for a short time do
  160.  
  161. you know which ones those are no but
  162.  
  163. alright we'll fix an issue we're hiding
  164.  
  165. showing the Avatar would cause an
  166.  
  167. exception which resulted in the Avatar
  168.  
  169. being a bad state and unable to reach oh
  170.  
  171. that sucked teleporting the player when
  172.  
  173. they are bleeding out I'm gonna call the
  174.  
  175. unconscious from our waters how's that
  176.  
  177. that smells good we're gonna call that
  178.  
  179. unconscious so you don't confuse it with
  180.  
  181. bleeds unconscious and the parcel
  182.  
  183. underneath them is moved should work
  184.  
  185. properly now basically yeah we didn't
  186.  
  187. want to leave the character floating in
  188.  
  189. the space with no terrain underneath
  190.  
  191. them updated the doober settings to have
  192.  
  193. a larger pop radius so they don't pop on
  194.  
  195. top of the mega nodes those are
  196.  
  197. motherlode nodes
  198.  
  199. I'm just making tweaks here so when we
  200.  
  201. put these up to live Valerie can make
  202.  
  203. sure they're updated us okay scale and
  204.  
  205. Mint metal sub components will which
  206.  
  207. produce crafting stat should now
  208.  
  209. properly produce those stats that was a
  210.  
  211. fix from when on res visit us okay
  212.  
  213. just once you wanna go sir let's see
  214.  
  215. fashion statement now grants one
  216.  
  217. additional amulet slot in the stove -
  218.  
  219. yeah I know that one by 50% in fact a
  220.  
  221. high elf Rachael a minute slot now
  222.  
  223. grants a high elf racial amulet slot
  224.  
  225. grant now shares the same slot as Emlyn
  226.  
  227. slot granted by manor discipline fashion
  228.  
  229. statement there you go effectively don't
  230.  
  231. stack right right yeah because necklaces
  232.  
  233. are too good now to let high elves get
  234.  
  235. four of them with the fashion statement
  236.  
  237. yeah so in much the same vein emic
  238.  
  239. ganesha racial ring slot grant now
  240.  
  241. shares the same slot as ring slot
  242.  
  243. granted by manner discipline and glory
  244.  
  245. so exact same thing everybody can get up
  246.  
  247. to three ring slots or two necklace
  248.  
  249. slots some races get it for free and
  250.  
  251. others have to use disciplines to get
  252.  
  253. there alright as with all of our other
  254.  
  255. systems c campaigns handled some
  256.  
  257. exceptions that were happening during
  258.  
  259. the seeds life cycle also fixed the bug
  260.  
  261. where the cease flow would break and a
  262.  
  263. seeds would not be able to start which
  264.  
  265. generally stinks yep updating display
  266.  
  267. names on parcels and setting practice
  268.  
  269. dummies and balance speech head to the
  270.  
  271. balance practice dummies diorama okay
  272.  
  273. that's that's nice system vendors should
  274.  
  275. now replace weapon racks in the beach
  276.  
  277. heads along players to collect specific

  285. so that's that's a pretty pretty nice

  287. improvement as well yep

  291. spray cast readability which yet if you

  293. haven't seen it this is done by spider
  294.  
  295. adjusting goober pick up FX height
  296.  
  297. fixing height of ethereal duck
  298.  
  299. skip skip skip crafting accession
  300.  
  301. exchanges let's see yes crafting station
  302.  
  303. adjectives changes now all intermediate
  304.  
  305. recipes can be crafted at the general
  306.  
  307. crafting station and their specific
  308.  
  309. station type for example intermediate
  310.  
  311. blacksmithing recipes can now be made at
  312.  
  313. the general crafting station and the
  314.  
  315. blacksmithing station - so nice little
  316.  
  317. quality of life improvement yeah it was
  318.  
  319. there was a little bit of a mess there
  320.  
  321. so we just kind of used 5 5 as an
  322.  
  323. opportunity to clean it up cool
  324.  
  325. I'd love a sheet component for
  326.  
  327. intermediate armor recipes basic armor
  328.  
  329. recipes have been updated and moved to
  330.  
  331. intermediate armor yep
  332.  
  333. fixed experimentation data and allowing
  334.  
  335. experimentation on the intermediate to
  336.  
  337. hand axe after boarding the crafting
  338.  
  339. timer
  340.  
  341. you should mmm you should no longer be
  342.  
  343. prevented from crafting another item
  344.  
  345. pretty good added a basic bandage
  346.  
  347. craftable item which can be found in
  348.  
  349. survivalist crafting 10 second cast of
  350.  
  351. time heals for 2,500 can be used once
  352.  
  353. per a minute
  354.  
  355. and remove test recipe potions and
  356.  
  357. finally fixed a bug and crafting or the
  358.  
  359. experimental stat values would randomly
  360.  
  361. bounce around from one experimentation
  362.  
  363. to the next great so the a lot of this
  364.  
  365. is we're shifting out a lot of the
  366.  
  367. testing stuff so we got rid of all of
  368.  
  369. the test potions and any the last piece
  370.  
  371. of testing crafting stuff in there is
  372.  
  373. disciplines which will probably move to
  374.  
  375. a vendor in the somewhat near future and
  376.  
  377. then the book will be kind of pristine
  378.  
  379. and it means if you see something in
  380.  
  381. there that's what we intend to ship with
  382.  
  383. so like yesterday I added in that first
  384.  
  385. basic discipline that you craft to get
  386.  
  387. the ethereal sight that that should be
  388.  
  389. that I don't intend that to be testing
  390.  
  391. that should be permanent probably end up
  392.  
  393. moving I think way of the leader is
  394.  
  395. currently a free passive that everybody
  396.  
  397. gets is so is weapon finesse I'm gonna
  398.  
  399. move those two
  400.  
  401. miners and put them in that section as
  402.  
  403. well so that I'll either put them there
  404.  
  405. I'll put them in at the intermediate
  406.  
  407. rank so that there's a nice progression
  408.  
  409. of things to craft in the beginning
  410.  
  411. other than just a weapon and tools right
  412.  
  413. we're trying to give you guys a bunch of
  414.  
  415. stuff to do because again we're starting
  416.  
  417. to shift from hey let's build a lot of
  418.  
  419. stand-alone systems and let's start
  420.  
  421. making a play like a game so I can do
  422.  
  423. the ek sir introduce thunking sockets
  424.  
  425. system which should help alleviate
  426.  
  427. problems with socketed building annex
  428.  
  429. and attachable so that they will funk to
  430.  
  431. the ground and not be floating in the
  432.  
  433. air unless they put the socket too high
  434.  
  435. cuz I'm testing we had some vendor
  436.  
  437. stalls that were floating at the top of
  438.  
  439. the building that was pretty funny
  440.  
  441. crafting tables now have their own
  442.  
  443. unique socket type and can only be
  444.  
  445. placed inside buildings with a matching
  446.  
  447. socket yes and at some point those
  448.  
  449. sockets are going to get limitations on
  450.  
  451. basically kind of how much power they
  452.  
  453. provide as to what station you can put
  454.  
  455. in there so that's we're gonna keep
  456.  
  457. expanding on that system eks temporarily
  458.  
  459. come with a crypt parcel which should
  460.  
  461. allow access to vessel changes temples
  462.  
  463. within campaigns and ek is no longer
  464.  
  465. support the ability to change vessels
  466.  
  467. yes if you want to change your currently
  468.  
  469. equipped vessel you have to go to a
  470.  
  471. crypt from now on don't look for it at
  472.  
  473. the temple anymore for those of you have
  474.  
  475. been playing for a while and the Crypt
  476.  
  477. should be fairly obvious it's this
  478.  
  479. little cave that you go down into and it
  480.  
  481. looks all perfectly crypt II actually
  482.  
  483. looks a little happy 50 we're gonna make
  484.  
  485. it more dark and evil cryptic here soon
  486.  
  487. new and improved raft map is ready and
  488.  
  489. in play complete with spider mobs and
  490.  
  491. adventure zones specifically the
  492.  
  493. adventure zone is the canyons that are
  494.  
  495. all snapped together to make spider
  496.  
  497. Canyon Crips have been added to the
  498.  
  499. areas outside of beachheads water wells
  500.  
  501. now exists within the raft which grant
  502.  
  503. water flasks used in crafting recipes I
  504.  
  505. didn't see a water well out there but
  506.  
  507. they should be out there go up an F to
  508.  
  509. interact you'll get some water crafting
  510.  
  511. stations have been removed from the
  512.  
  513. beachheads all basic crafting can now be
  514.  
  515. to be using the Jamin yep so when you're
  516.  
  517. in the beachhead everything we want you
  518.  
  519. to craft there is accessible via J go
  520.  
  521. out to the forts and it keeps to get the
  522.  
  523. intermediate recipes at the stations out
  524.  
  525. there and then the advanced stuff will
  526.  
  527. also be at some of the stations adjusted
  528.  
  529. the NPC Ranger range blackouts and hit
  530.  
  531. times to match what the animation is
  532.  
  533. doing interesting I don't know where we
  534.  
  535. touch Ranger oh this you know this is
  536.  
  537. actually an NPC note so that's basically
  538.  
  539. saying that okay he's our NPC Rangers
  540.  
  541. okay basically trying to make them look
  542.  
  543. a little closer to gotcha
  544.  
  545. yes change NPC Ranger range to use all
  546.  
  547. weapon damage and adjust for animation
  548.  
  549. timings change the rest of the ranks for
  550.  
  551. the Ranger guard spawner Ranger guards
  552.  
  553. can no longer boot via chain puller
  554.  
  555. similar powers so that is the same
  556.  
  557. animation timing issue I'm guessing that
  558.  
  559. the rest of the AI suffering from yes so
  560.  
  561. there is a there is a an issue right now
  562.  
  563. with with the new AI system where the
  564.  
  565. animations and the actual application of
  566.  
  567. the game effects are out of sync so
  568.  
  569. you'll notice that animations usually it
  570.  
  571. looks like animations will appear like
  572.  
  573. basically there you go though and this
  574.  
  575. is why for example like it's been
  576.  
  577. reported on the boards for example the
  578.  
  579. you'll see that you see the eye flash
  580.  
  581. from the zombie and if you don't get the
  582.  
  583. way in time you'll see you know you'll
  584.  
  585. take a bunch of damage and then the
  586.  
  587. zombie will swing gotcha
  588.  
  589. that's basically why why why that is so
  590.  
  591. our goal is not to keep it that way
  592.  
  593. right
  594.  
  595. it's just we want to fix it there's a
  596.  
  597. bug that's happening because we intend
  598.  
  599. for the big red tell attacks to start
  600.  
  601. doing increased damage again very
  602.  
  603. dangerous okay right it's where we
  604.  
  605. there's general powers is where I left
  606.  
  607. off see thank you Dave Greco and there's
  608.  
  609. no V on the end of my name
  610.  
  611. players will log in with a 30 second
  612.  
  613. invulnerability buff attacking anyone
  614.  
  615. will cancel the buff early there you go
  616.  
  617. yeah that that is fully functional now
  618.  
  619. and it works great I have not seen it
  620.  
  621. not work properly at all all powers that
  622.  
  623. apply bleed should now properly be
  624.  
  625. properly modified by the bleed dots
  626.  
  627. damage addition statistic which correct
  628.  
  629. right
  630.  
  631. and my favorite noted a renamed bleed
  632.  
  633. dots damage addition to bleed dot damage
  634.  
  635. model - multiplier sorry since that is
  636.  
  637. actually multiplying on the base amount
  638.

  643. because I push this one forward a couple
  644.  
  645. weeks ago which was the champion bleed
  646.  
  647. damage being out of control same with
  648.  
  649. the Rangers bleed damage it is now back
  650.  
  651. in control and you get a much smaller
  652.  
  653. amount however I also use that chance to
  654.  
  655. add it to a bunch of bleeds that didn't
  656.  
  657. have it so a bunch of bleeds are now
  658.  
  659. getting buffed by the stat that weren't
  660.  
  661. before that's good so good thing that
  662.  
  663. that broke so that way I could see the
  664.  
  665. other things that were broken in there
  666.  
  667. let's see my own target abilities will
  668.  
  669. no longer automatically sync to the
  670.  
  671. ground and will act as expected when
  672.  
  673. aimed at areas such as the top of
  674.  
  675. ramparts catwalks or in buildings so
  676.  
  677. that's that's a good improvement I
  678.  
  679. believe there is still an issue where
  680.  
  681. the reticle itself may not draw on
  682.  
  683. certain objects but know if you're on
  684.  
  685. top of something if you're if your
  686.  
  687. cursor is there it will deploy the
  688.  
  689. effect on whatever it is you're pointing
  690.  
  691. at okay but the the curtain the actual
  692.  
  693. reticle itself may still be appearing
  694.  
  695. under it but it's actually should be
  696.  
  697. deploying it at the proper spot that's
  698.  
  699. something we're gonna fix which bleeds
  700.  
  701. weren't getting blocked before most
  702.  
  703. bleeds weren't getting growth before
  704.

  781. a toxin so I should feel a little more

  783. impactful assassins will no longer

  785. attempt to infect rocks trees and dead
  786.  
  787. animal corpses with the toxins let's see
  788.  
  789. the third basic attack while in Ultimate
  790.  
  791. Warrior should properly find a target
  792.  
  793. yeah that one had a weird checkbox set
  794.  
  795. that was yeah
  796.  
  797. disciplines mole hunter heads up see
  798.  
  799. invisibility should work properly now
  800.  
  801. scarecrow aura of terror should take it
  802.  
  803. to account for section stat glassed
  804.  
  805. cannon can now be loaded out into the
  806.  
  807. stealth trays and I add water spirits
  808.  
  809. can now be cast while moving fairly last
  810.  
  811. forever and edges generating other news
  812.  
  813. hundreds of thousands of hairs on the
  814.  
  815. server that will hopefully be fixed
  816.  
  817. today yeah and I guess running out page
  818.  
  819. seven which is really page three years
  820.  
  821. yes fixed the bounds of the personal
  822.  
  823. bank UI widget as well as the World Bank
  824.  
  825. selector UI which had the same issue
  826.  
  827. added outlines around the targeting icon
  828.  
  829. for critical harvest okay marble node
  830.  
  831. should no longer erroneously yield
  832.  
  833. granite while harvesting mmm that was a
  834.  
  835. that was a typo in the loot data
  836.  
  837. was like hey why are you getting granite
  838.  
  839. from these guys and crows should be able
  840.  
  841. to use teleporters now in case they get
  842.  
  843. into a location that they need to get
  844.  
  845. back to the body mmm we have those okay
  846.  
  847. so those are the patch notes mark didn't
  848.  
  849. want to read all of the other ones that
  850.  
  851. we've already read last time which is
  852.  
  853. valid so we're on to questions and we

  897. isn't a lot of time for us to generally
  898.  
  899. fix something we try and get the
  900.  
  901. blockers things that we consider
  902.  
  903. blocking for everybody so that it will
  904.  
  905. get to a point where we can put up on
  906.  
  907. live pretty quick thank what's it
  908.  
  909. somebody say

  911. good job on the adventure zones they're
  912.  
  913. awesome thank you thank you we don't
  914.  
  915. hear a lot of positive we get a lot of
  916.  
  917. blaze and saying neat sarcastic things
  918.  
  919. to us so please reinforce with some

  921. positives in there as well lots of
  922.  
  923. people work hard yeah lots of people
  924.  
  925. worked hard and they like to hear that
  926.  
  927. positive things all right why not make

  929. an added table on the rank one with more

  931. dust the dust in most combines this

  961. of the combat lag we had it last night
  962.  
  963. test we are still looking at it our
  964.  
  965. server graphs look good we have done a
  966.  
  967. whole lot of server improvements in in
  968.  
  969. the five five cycle so engineering is
  970.  
  971. putting their heads together to figure
  972.  
  973. out what's causing those spikes our band
  974.  
  975. is just going to be locked to the basic
  976.  
  977. survival training to make and/or use
  978.  
  979. currently free the goal advantages is to
  980.  
  981. give people something that they can heal
  982.  
  983. with while they're doing adventure areas
  984.  
  985. it was painful when we were out there
  986.  
  987. doing it in our in our version of the
  988.  
  989. 5:5 testing so I implemented the bandage
  990.  
  991. stuff
  992.  
  993. the goal is there will be better
  994.  
  995. bandages in the survival unlocks in
  996.  
  997. basic exploration and the basic ones
  998.  
  999. might come down a little bit to make
  1000.  
  1001. some more room in there for better ones
  1002.  
  1003. but yes survivalist will be getting
  1004.  
  1005. bandages the high blood line does not
  1006.  
  1007. say what percentage the dodge clear cast
  1008.  
  1009. is is it still 25% that I don't know
  1010.  
  1011. without looking at it to be honest yeah
  1012.  
  1013. I don't know one of the million that
  1014.  
  1015. says I made that power
  1016.  
  1017. three four months ago so can you explain
  1018.  
  1019. why dust was added to so many crafting
  1020.  
  1021. recipes yes because it was always
  1022.

  2493. people will feel more over armored than
  2494.  
  2495. they currently do and basically to sum
