RS Main Botting 101

Main Botting Guide v1 by someone who lurks /osg/

>> READ << If your botting OSRS and have a RS3 "main" on same account both will banned if caught botting, i suggest making a new account entirely if you play both games

Guide with tips in no order at all:

0. OSBot is widely known and used as the most popular bot on Runescape, i suggest using this client and researching scripts - any botting you do is your own risk, always expect to be banned.
1. Create the account you want to "main" bot on around a year in advance, this is to age your account, the ban rate for botting on a fresh account regardless of how long you bot/take breaks is fairly high - record all account information, first password, email, recovery questions, the initial country of account create + login.
2. When creating the main account, set the age check to 1985-1989 (Age 28-32)
3. Don't bot off the bat, do some human stuff first, the basic quests like Cooks Assistant, Enter the Abyss, Waterfall Quest, do the varrock museum quiz, don't let any stats bare Farming be below around 15-20.
4. Don't bot pure money making, for example picking up berries, frog legs etc, this is suicide, make your gold through skilling like fletching, furthermore don't bot magic via alching (use a decent auto clicker on the real client), agility courses below canafis, fishing spots below lobsters, mining below iron.
5. Don't bot for 3 hours straight or 10 hours total per day.
6. Don't bot the same activity more than twice in a row.
7. Don't bot at hotspots for other bots/normal players, for example draynor willows, yaks/dusty key hill giants/experiments/clay ore.
8. Paid scrips are not always better than free scrips.
9. When botting skills that bank, use populated worlds where you can stack on other players, harder to report/even get noticed.
10. Babysit your scripts for the first few uses to see if they work, any botlike behavior (click objects throw walls, not using minimap to walk, clicking the same pixel at same interval - these are no good)
11. DO NOT BOT ON THURSDAYS.
12. Weekends are best bot times.
13. Don't create a bot pattern (10am-12am fletching, 2pm-4pm cooking etc)
14. Be random, fletch then cook, then combat, then prayer, then magic, be human!
15. Bots that bank/idle alot (cooking, fletching, combat) have lower banrates then active bots.
16. 1hour breaks per 2hours botted, 20min breaks per 40mins agility botted.
17. Never show your skills off to /osg/ saying you bot, we can look up your char name through that and report it.
18. Never tell people you bot (dumbshit if you do)
19. If you bot a gathering skill for insanely long periods (5k+ fish, wood, ore per session) DO NOT dump it all at once, sell 2k, then 2k next day, repeat, or convert to food/fletch/smithing
20. Always expect to be banned.
21. Use a vpn if this is not your "main", they can range ban accounts based on your IP - use the same country as where you live.
22. Don't bot runecrafting ever no matter how tempting it is, if you do keep it brief 20-40mins max.
23. OSBot seems to be the most reliable bot - it has a disable input option, this can be used to reply to players who ask you questions while botting (assuming your babysitting it or in the room and glace) or make manual commands like eating food or prayer.
24. Check the OSBot script thread and go the last page and check for recent player bans/broken scripts before use.
25. Enable authenticator but never type it on the osbot client, use official client and trust your computer for 30 days - using a vpn might cause you to retype this daily!, cause you never know.
26. Don't use the account / pass / bank pin option, just manually login to game and unlock bank - trust me.
27. After botting safely for some months, change the vpn IP every month or so, this can be abused to recover a banned account by claiming you got hacked (same country, different IP).
28. If you feel you got reported and think you got an incoming ban, suicide your account by vpning to Venezuela/Russia/Ukraine/China and log in using wrong details, get locked, wait around 2-3 weeks, then start the appeal process - if you recovery banned appeal that via social media (twitter etc)
29. Settings i use to bot https://ctrlv.cz/shots/2017/10/03/SxIh.png - what this does is allows me to bot for around 109-119 minutes before it logs me out, stops the script till i manually log back in and set up a new script, i have been doing this for months now on my account and have several botted stats past 92 - im using a account which has a macroing minor from 2012 also.
30. Botting on a aged account with a long subscription time is more likely to get a 2 day ban then a perma ban, once this happens you stop botting.
31. Getting a macoring minor while botting a script means the script in question has a pattern and should be avoided entirely, so should the other scrips the author made.
32. Mod Weath posting anything on social media regarding bots/bans/having a man period means you stop botting for the next few days.
33. Don't bot novice Pest Control.
34. Play manually daily if you can, do some quests, money make, sell shit on the GE, bank stand - human shit you know.
35. Take a off day occasional, don't bot or player on your account for that day, it will become unnatural for you to play 8-12 hours daily for an entire year, don't hate me for that /osg/ but its true.
36. Always sacrifice exp for account safety, this is free exp after all.
37. Oddly enough reporting bots on an account you bot on can compromise it all together, specially if your reporting a bot just because you know its break/pattern/movement sequence cause you use it yourself, you can shoot yourself in the foot doing this, but that's your decision not mine.
38. Yet again DO NOT BOT ON THURSDAYS.
39. Private scripts can be memes if they don't update/fix it as the game changes.
40. Duel Arena style switching bots are a hit and a miss - i would be avoid but its your call.
41. The best scripts are your own scripts.
42. Dont over bot, 99 fletching/cooking/firemaking while your other stats are 20/30 doesn't look good - unless its farming that's ok.
43. Money making bots are usually memes, unless its barrows/zulrah/high level pvm.
44. Stock up on game necklaces, dueling rings, law runes/teletabs.
45. Auto questing bots are ok - high risk if they break - might be best to do them manually.
46. If your get accused of botting while babysitting / glacing, don't log out or shit talk them, say somthing like "How come you think that?" or "Ask us a question then and find out :)", be nice - don't antagonize - these might save your account within the logs.
47. Don't do other shit that will flag your account, RWT, get muted etc.
48. Don't look like a bot (no dmed/gbody) or wear flashy shit to stand out, just be a player - full graceful is good.
49. Don't shit on scripts, provide information on bugs etc, don't just call it shit or just don't post at all (hard for /osg/)
50. If your babysitting / glancing and see a random event and OSBot aint dismissed it yet - do it, specially if its the genie/imp.

Some basic bot locations/worlds, you'll discover more as you go.

Mining - High risk at low levels, unpopulated worlds, Abandoned Mine Iron Rocks, populated world upper motherlode
Fletching/Herblore/Crafting/Smithing - Populated world GE/Varrock West anvil
Cooking - Populated world rouges den/hosidius oven
Combat/Slayer - Ring of Life - Anything with low def and around 35-40 hp that is not visited by players often - quest dungeons, dead content areas.
Prayer/Construction - Gilded altar world - Rimmington POH
Magic - Populated world for alching, medium world for teleporting, great kourend docks seagulls for splashing or rats in vague places.
Agility - Very high risk all around honestly - Manual to 40, 40-60 Canafis over around a week or 2, then an 1hr30min sessions per day over three 30minute sessions if your a masochist to 99 or till full graceful.
Firemaking - Hard one here, people can break your bot by putting flowers on the path, best to use unpopulated world seers village bank or vague locations the script provides.
Thieving - 1-10 suicide lumbridge men/women, 10-25/38 Ardougne market, 25-38/48 Hosidius fruit stall (lure dogs into house), 48-55/99 Master farmer, 55-99 Knight of Ardougne.
Farming - N/A
Hunter - I like hunter so i don't bot this! but i guess check the scripts and do some research.
Runecrafting - I don't recommend it, but probably not lava's, maybe cosmics/astrals if the script is sound.
Fishing - High risk at low levels, populated world barb fishing.
Woodcutting - unpopulated world, North Seers/South Rimmington Willows - WC Guild if your high enough - avoid teaks.

Thursday is update day, this means that the stealth injection on OSBot "could" be compromised meaning you'll get flagged instantly by logging into the client, its also update day so more people than average are online so the report rates are higher - this is the best day to play manually and buy botting materials ready for the next week as theirs more supply of shit, check the new update content, or take a off day.
