The halls were empty and vast but  the serpents and dragoons made of gold and bronze, encrusted with facated jewels that stood silent vigil of their territories.*

[19:38.22] <Sophie-Work> The palace was labrynthlike and complex, navigation was difficult due to the terraced method of building the ibexian used. A powerful pull of arcane emminated from the highest levels ofthe palace, in the direction of the emporer's chamber and the moonwell at the mountain peak. Ascending, Viktoria would eventually find familiar pathways, a large atrium she had passed when making her initial escape. THe atrium was empty, save the impressive looking
[19:38.22] <Sophie-Work> statues. A vast set of golden doors were pulled closed and were decorated with icons and figures from myth. Namely a great jade dragon whose smoke envoloped a mighty mountain.Renova would recognize this door as marking the seperation between the lower tiers, and the high tiers, where the sacred and forbidden chambers resided. Another doorway would be familiar to Viktoria, less decorated, it lead into the archival halls where she'd been kept and

[19:52.46] <Sophie-Work> *Entering through the door brought them up a vast flight of stairs, to where the throne sat. The room was quiet and still, a fountain babbled along the walls, pushing lichen rich water in a slow tempest around the outer wall. While the throne sat empty, a dark purple mare stood infront of it admiring the eyes of two jade serpents twining around behind it. She turned, looking back at the two as they ascended the last of the stepps. "Hm?"

[19:58.25] * Renova snorts and raises up, in the absense of any weapon of her own the big half-breed darts for the nearest exit to the equestrian, intent on body-blocking a retreat at the very least.
[20:00.13] <Sophie-Work> She turned quickly, but the dash of renova cut her off before she took more than half a dozen steps. She sighed, shoulders rising and falling. "Well, well. Isn't this... a bit of a jam?" She adjusted her glasses. "I don't expect you've come back to spill the beans did you?" She turned to Viktoria.

You are breaching the sovereignty of a nuetralcountry--velkan. I'm afraid it is your coup that won't go far. The Emporer has been elected by his subjects--i am not surprised you Atherians would find that so distasteful. Tell your crone Queen she can't enslave everypony."
[20:11.53] <Viktoria> "Maybe you'll get to tell her yourself" she said rather ominously as she got closer "Where is Kuan Ti's orb and where are the... what did you call them?" she eyed Renova

Which this Equestrian would know if she believed any of the anti-empirical rhetoric she's spouting at us and bothered to learn the local customs..."

That's why i'm here. You see theage of rule through power is done. Libra's gone. His mimic your Queen plays like she's him, but no more. Ponies must live in harmony with our neighbors, not lord over them. And we should respect their right and true process, shouldn't we?" She shakes her head,

[20:20.07] <Viktoria> "What are you talking about, Sophies orb?" she raised an eyebrow "Enough of your lies. We all know what the Equestrians really think of others. Nothing but users and charlatans you all are. You are the ones who attacked us!" she pointed accusingly
[20:20.29] * Renova takes a step back and spreads her wings, taking up the maximum possible door-space, "You -killed- their old ruler to instate a new one, what are you stupid?! V-Viky, just break her magic!"

[20:24.59] <Sophie-Work> "Me? Would if i could sweetheart, but i cannot. The sorcerer king trotted the soil in the age of the two sisters over a thousand years ago. How could I do such a thing? How could any ibex kill such an everlasting being? If the two of you really believe his decay was part of any plan of ourse you are severely mistaken. Ibexia made for a safe eastern frontier. The last thing any right minded equestria wants is instability anywhere." She pointed a hoof
[20:24.59] <Sophie-Work> suddenly at Viktoria, "That's the avenue for tyrants like yours to take power." She stopped, stopping a couple of feet from the pegazeb. "Surrender now, and noone else has to be hurt. It's not too late to switch sides. Come to the side of harmony and peace."
[20:27.46] * Renova realizes a chance as the mage points at the Velkan, snapping her wings shut and using the rush of air to dash forward and put a heavy hoof in the mare's side, "Liar! I've seen what you did!"
[20:27.47] <Viktoria> "Our Queen is trying to bring peace! What do you think you're doing? Get hurt? We are not the ones under threat"
[20:28.21] <Viktoria> she recoiled at Renova's sudden rush and moved in to try and protect the zebra princess
[20:29.41] <Sophie-Work> The unicorn startled when Renova pushed her opportunity, her horn flickered and a surge of energy shot out as she reeled back. The beam punched a hole in the cieling, dissapating as Renova hit her and took her too the floor, "Stop! Stop! Please! Don't hurt me!"
[20:34.14] <Viktoria> she moved over standing near Renova, her prescence caused the purple mare to feel a pressure on her arcane ""You want to take the high ground when you tortured me? I don't think so. We're taking her prisoner"
[20:34.46] * Renova freezes up for a moment as the arcana blasts the cieling, yipping and hopping backwards quickly, "Gah! Y-you just tried to -blast- me!" she pouts spitefully and tries to whack the unicorn's horn  once she's sure she and Vicky weren't hit by anything, "Um... R-right! Prisoner..."
[20:35.41] <Sophie-Work> "We are at war! You threaten to destroy everything!" She said, and pushed against renova frustratingly. The whack makes googly eyes in skull, shutting her up quick.*

[21:27.53] <Sophie-Work> *Doors to their left and right both looked familiar. The one to the right lead to the chamber of the emporer, where they had first entered. The opposite lead deeper into the upper temple,  to where the moonwell lay.*
[21:29.44] <%Renova> "Er... Well, the emporer's chamber has a garden section with an open roof that we got into last time... The other way is uh... I think it was called the moonwell. Not sure there's a way up there, but maybe?"
[21:30.44] <Viktoria> "The moonwell, thats where we need to go. I have a feeling about that. Let us move" she rushed toward the moonwell door
[21:32.43] * Renova huffs and nods lightly, "O-okay." she agrees easily, flapping along behind the Velkan, trying to keep her eyes out to either side as the more competent combatant leads on.
[21:33.23] <Viktoria> rushed forth on all fours, mentally preparing herself for what might be next. But now things had changed. The purple mare had awoken her
[21:34.26] <Sophie-Work> *The door pushed open easily, and the wind struck Viktoria. The veranda where she had faced Kuan-Ti just beyond. Two guards stood at the door, in dark black armor. They stoodsentinal,  unmoving statues at the door to the moonwell. The flat roll of the clods extended far in both direction, the first violet shades of the morning beginning to paint the sky. The door to the moonwell was ajar, the gentle glow of the well inside wafting gently out towards
[21:34.26] <Sophie-Work> them. A mystic energy sweltered through the air, strong as a tempest. Quiet as a crickets chirp.*
[21:37.20] <Viktoria> she half closed her eyes at the wind and pressed on. She moved more slowly past the guards and eyes around carefully. The odd clunk from her hoofboots broke the serene silence
[21:39.18] * Renova increases her altitude, weary of the guards' reach, she taps Viktoria's flank as she ascends, "I'll be above. Not much use on the ground without a weapon."
[21:40.47] <Sophie-Work> A shape moved from the door, a tall, bulky ibex in a suit of cold plate armor. He planted his halberd against the ground, the silent sentinals at his side inanimate. He sniffed, devils eyes upon them. I-mu as Lungsho called him, was a simply impressive warrior in statue and gravitas.  His long beard wafted in the wind, "Go no further. You will not defile this sanctuary anymore."
[21:42.40] <Viktoria> "Stand aside!" she swiped a hoof through the air "We are here to retrieve what is rightfully ours from Kuan Ti!"
[21:44.22] * Renova flutters to a halt just over the Velkan and starts to 'back-pedal', as it were, "You realize he killed the Emporer, right? Kuan-Ti? He paid an Equestrian to do it..."
[21:47.07] <Sophie-Work> "Kuan-Ti is Emperor. Turn back. Tell Cung-va his puppet will never ascend." He angled his halberd forward and started to slowly march forward.*
[21:52.06] <Viktoria> she frowned and steeled herself. She rose up onto two legs and looked quite imposing. It revealed the cloth strappings around her body and the metal boots on her hind legs. Her long Ibexian  robe fluttered in the mountain breeze. She held up one hoof toward him "I will retrieve the orb, no matter the cost. This is your last warning Ser I-mu!"
[21:56.00] * Renova swallows and starts to slowly ascend again, at least out of pole-arm range, though she hesitates to draw too much attention regardless, "Y-you can't win, you know... This is a Velkan knight."

Now that she had control over her Linker Core, she started actively absorbing it toward her, causing her chest to begin to glow a subtle blue, small images of blue wings flickered into life on her hind legs

[22:03.59] * Renova eeps and retreats suddenly, recognizing the wings and trying to clear the air-space, not confident in her jacket's ability as armor against either of the two possibilities to hit her...
[22:05.14] <Viktoria> she was shocked at first at the ferocity of his leap but she held her concentration. A blue rotating triangle appeared beneath her hind legs and she pushed one fore leg toward him. Another similar triangle appeared in the air between herself and the incoming I-mu. with focus she tried to take the kinetic energy from him as he descended just as Marl

[22:09.53] <Sophie-Work> *He near crashed down upon her, but the weight of his armor pulled him to the ground with all the grace of a brick dropped from a tall building. He collapsed, then steadily began to push  back to his hooves.*
[22:11.15] <Viktoria> she grinned slightly seeing it was working, with the triangle still in effect, she swung her other foreleg to the side causing a few basic symbols to appear in the triangle. It then shattered into particles of blue energy and the stored kinetic energy launched at the husky Ibex to throw him violently to the side

[22:30.14] * Renova raises her forehooves up and extends them eyes narrowed as her feathers and jacket both billow in the torrential wind of descent, teeth gritted as the mare tries to swoop down and catch the armored Ibex, or at least slow his descent...
[22:37.01] <Sophie-Work> Renova snags the hoof of the falling ibex and his eyes snap open, he looks confused and dazed, as he is pulled upon all the way until the moment when he hits the ground and is taken from consciousness.*
[22:41.11] * Renova bounces rather hard on the armored carapace of cold-iron, grunting and panting, rolling her shoulders. She weakly grabs the ibex's halberd and sniffs, stepping back, then ascending at a less break-neck pace...
