somewhat vague outline/description for chapter 1

Chapter 1 Opens
Introduce Henry Smith, Grandson of the Henry who worked with Joey Drew.
In the Early 30's Henry's Grandfather was the main character designer who worked with joey drew, he's the original creator of all the characters used in the Bendy Cartoons, Alice, the Butcher Gang, Bendy, Boris, all of em.
Joey Drew left after an invitation with a majority of the animation studio to Rapture with Andrew Ryan, Henry wasn't able to come due to obligations he had, this caused a violent breakup between the two with Joey retaining rights to the characters despite Henry having created them.
Henry never hears from joey again and continues to have a career in animation, eventually having a family of his own over the years until he eventually meets his grandson who shares his name.
Teaches his grandson all about animation and fosters in him a love for all of the characters he created, a deep love as if the characters themselves are real to the young grandson Henry.
Soon news comes through from a man who appears one day that rapture has fallen and that it's no more.
In the years after the fall of rapture magic returns to the world and with it all the magical creatures that were once thought to have been myth re-emerge, integrating into society with mild difficulty over the years.
Magic begins to be used within the animation industry to create and bring cartoon characters to life although these characters rely on the love and attention of their fans to exist.
A now older grandson henry begins to try and come up with a way to make it to where cartoon characters don't need to rely on this to exist as he believes that they don't deserve to die just because they're not loved or liked anymore.
His experiements get declared black magic and the experimental cartoon character he's created is destroyed and he's arrested and given a mission to clear his name
Go to rapture and investigate the surge of black magic that's being picked up by the magic council sensors.
He's paired up with a commando mermaid who's the council's top agent in retrieval and destruction of dark-magic related things.
He's sent to rapture in a magical dive suit.
Chapter ends on him finding an entrance to a forgotten part of rapture, animation land, where untold horrors await.
