Dark Souls 2 - Olympic Torch Run Notes

~Olympic Torch Run~

Basically light a torch from Things Betwixt and keep a fire near you at all times. If you die, its ok, bc you respawn at a bonfire (imagine you lit it w/ the olympic flame and you can replenish it there). For any point where your torch is forcibly put out, try using Immolation to keep the fire burning!

Start as Knight w/ Bonfire Ascetic
Grab Torch behind Wagon
Talk to Herald, touch Majula bonfire
Head for Forest of the Giants
Loot Torch on tree trunk in firey area (on the way to Fire Longsword)
Head to Cale, but pick up Torch in the hollowed tree trunk (right where you drop down to go to him)
Talk to Cale, get Mansion Key
HW Bone out
Enter Mansion, loot 3 Torches on top floor in chest
Ascetic Majula, loot 3 more from Mansion
Warp to Forest
Grab Light Crossbow (on bridge near first Turtle) and also grab Torch (jump near Mailbreaker)
Kill Last Giant
Kill Pursuer
Grab Bastille bonfire
Warp to Cardinal Tower
Buy BS key, send Melentia back
Grab Torch from Ring of Resto chest
Warp to Majula
Buy Rapier and upg. to +3
Pop all souls, Dex > 12, Pump End but keep 15k+ souls
Buy Cat Ring and HW bones (as many)
Equip All rings, head to The Rotten
Pick up Dark Pyro Flame after 1st Gutter bonfire
Grab Torch in vase before drop to Fragrant Branch
Touch hidden bonfire, kill Rotten
Warp to Majula
Level up as you see fit
Warp to Bastille
Grab Large Titties, kill Ruins
Grab torches/flame bfly behind illusory walls (near bracing knuckle ring, do jump)
Kill Sinner (bone dust optional)
Warp to Majula, level up
Head to Shaded Woods
Pick up 3 torches before Najka head beyond the doorway to Tarkus, on a corpse
Kill Najka
Kill Church
Pick up Torch after 1st door in Pate's room (on stairs to the right)
Kill Freja
Warp to Majula, level up
Head to Heide's Tower
Dragonrider slippy strats
Kill or send Licia back for Copse
Kill Skellymans
Pick up Torch near Gavlan
Pick up Torch at top of ramp
Backup torch in chest right before Covetous
Go kill Covetous Demon
Light Windmill
Kill Mytha
Head back to Majula
Spend souls, keep ~15k for Charcoal Pine Resin from Magerold
Warp back to Iron Keep
Purchase X number of Resin from Magerold
Pick up Titanite in Furnace after Smelter
Get Belfry Sol bonfire
Bonzai and get Immolation in chest after Belfry
Kill Old Iron King
Warp to Majula
Pop all souls and get 10 Attunement + whatever
Attune Immolation
Warp to Fork Road
Grab Golden Falcon Shield behind the Sentry before Shrine of Winter
Kill Crystal Lizard for upgrade mats
Standard runthrough of Drangleic;
Kill Double D's
Before Mirror Knight:
Light torch at bonfire, apply charcoal resin
Equip Pyro flame in left hand
During fight, apply Immolation, toggle off Charcoal, reapply charcoal (repeat if necessary)
Keep this pattern until Amana Bonfire
Probably buy as many lifegems as you can
Upgrade Golden Falcon Shield to +6
Alluring Skulls do nothing for lizards
Level Vigor, motherfucker.
Kill slowly w/ Rapier in Amana
Summon Felicia, pray for godlike RNG
Don't get knocked into a pit by Amana Sorceresses
Kill Frog without rolling
Praise the sun
Kill Velstadt
Go through Aldia's/Dragon Aerie as normal
Head to Giant Lord
Light Flame Butterfly in Giant Lord area
HW bone after Giant
Warp to Throne of Want
Win the game
