  1. From discovering osu! firstly from the the Apple version of osu!, I could tell a story overnight but i'll keep it simple. First time touching the PC version, I was really confused and did not really have any motivation to play the game. I played songs that were taken from Dragon Ball, and from there on I started FCing stuff here and there. Then there will is this one person I met, the first person I met on osu!, that took me and everyday, we played and made new friends. Eventually, we didn't really talk much anymore. Despite that, we made over 100 friends in a period of a year. From there on, I found my first rival, which I strived everyday to beat his scores which I thought were insane at that time. Eventually, that became my source of motivation to play the game and I started improving so much faster than I ever could. Jumping from over 50k ranks in a few months, I finally beat my rival. It felt amazing, but I kinda lost my motivation since I had already sniped him. I started playing multiplayer more often and met more amazing players that to this day have become one of the top 1000 in osu. There were still a lot of people I could make a rival at that time (around 10k) and I kept trying to pass them. But as my rank grew higher, I started realizing how much superior the high rank players were. I couldn't find my rival anymore. It felt useless to have a rival anymore, so I took that out of my mindset. From there on I just focused on solid goals, like reaching 8k pp and so on. But then that resorted me to pp farming, which I really can't consider enjoying the game. I broke my tablet in the process, because I was very uncontrollable when I choke maps at that time. Got a new tablet, and I never got as mad as I did before anymore. I started performing insanely and climbed up to where I am now, #95 global. Though at this rank, I don't really keep contact with my old friends that I played on the early days of me playing the game. They all either quit or I just feel weird talking to them. But then again, it's my friends that motivate me to play more, either multiplayer sessions, voice chatting while playing the game, sharing insane scores, all that is what made my journey enjoyable. Probably for me only, rivals are also very important for me to move up further, but now most of the people in the top 100 outclass me in pp, so I just enjoy the game.
