  1. The various top speeds you can have in SMB3. The number is how many subpixels you move/frame. 16 subpixels make up a whole pixel.
  2. Note that the speed address (00BD) will not display your correct speed on slopes. Normal slopes have ± 2 speed while steep slopes have ± 3 speed.
  3.
  4. 5 Walking uphill underwater, steep slope.
  5. 6 Walking uphill underwater, normal slope.
  6. 8 Being pushed by the wall in an autoscroller. Walking underwater.
  7. 10 Walking uphill, steep slope. Walking downhill underwater, normal slope.
  8. 11 Walking uphill, normal slope. Walking downhill underwater, steep slope.
  9. 16 Scrolling through walls. Slow swim with Frog.
  10. 19 Running uphill, steep slope.
  11. 20 Running uphill, normal slope.
  12. 22 Attached by Micro Goomba.
  13. 23 Flying. When you start flying, you may have more speed, but the speed will eventually drop down to 23.
  14. 24 Walking/swimming.
  15. 26 Walking downhill, normal slope.
  16. 27 Walking downhill, steep slope.
  17. 32 Fast swim with Frog.
  18. 40 Running, no P-speed
  19. 41 Jumping with Frog Suit, you can accelerate from 39 to 41 speed units/frame with the frog.
  20. 42 Running downhill, normal slope.
  21. 43 Running downhill, steep slope.
  22. 48 Speed of Mario's fireballs
  23. 56 P-Speed
  24. 57 P-speed with Frog Suit, you can accelerate from 55 to 57 speed units/frame with the frog.
  25. 58 P-speed downhill, normal slope.
  26. 59 P-speed downhill, steep slope.
  27. 64(MAX) Sliding downhill, boosted by spinner.
  28.
