  1. Okay, I forgot to make this earlier Friday morning, but I was mega tired from my drive back from RPGLB. One of my friends out in Montana was looking for a ride back into Spokane so I took the ~1.5 hour detour to help out. Made the rest of the drive way more tolerable for sure, but man was I drained. Tried to stream today (Friday) and was very mentally exhausted. Feel like that's going to be the theme of my summer. Anyway...

  3. RPGLB was a ton of fun. It was the first time in quite a while that I was nervous about going to an event, mainly because I didn't know as many people as I normally do at GDQs. The smaller nature of the event made a huge difference, though; it really did feel like everybody had a sense of family and camaraderie there. I was able to meet some people I haven't met outside of some online interactions or passing glances at past GDQs and made a ton of new friends. The event's choice of charity, NAMI, also hit a lot closer to home than other charity marathons I've taken part in. As somebody who has successfully battled depression and anxiety, I truly felt like I was part of making a tangible difference in something I've personally experienced and understand; I know I was able to get past my demons due to excellent care and a fantastic support group, something a lot of people simply don't have access to. I'm very grateful that RPGLB allowed me to contribute in my own way.

  5. Also the food provided was dope. My stomach and wallet thank you.

  7. With RPGLB now complete, however, it's time for me to set my sights on what's coming up. My sister's graduating high school in just a couple weeks, and I'm so excited for her; she has a really bright future ahead of her. Afterwards, there's SGDQ to prepare for, and PSRM '17 not too long afterwards. I'm also considering going to Smash The Record if I submit/get a run in, but I may be burnt out of travel by then (and Claire might legitimately kill me at that point in time since we're supposed to be house hunting right now). Plus, I'm looking forward to having a lack of commitment towards a particular game, at least for a brief period of time.

  9. Before I completely move on from RPGLB though, I wanna give quick shoutouts to certain people I got to hang out with (sentence or two, it's late, I'm tired)
