  1. Again, just as with the new rule on AMAs, we are trying to keep this board up to the high standards that we typically see in the Army. We are trying to move less away from the typical Reddit model of trolling and stupidity and more towards the professional model that you might find on RallyPoint.
  2. With that said, here are the changes you can expect - failure to follow any of these new rules will be met with deleted posts and eventually full fledged banning:
  3. * The current flair system is outdated and will be revamped to a new and improved rank system model.
  4. * Users will be required to submit photo copies of their military IDs / Veteran ID cards to show proof of rank.
  5. * Verified users will from this point forward will be referred to as you would in a live setting. NCOs will be referred to by their rank (Yes, Master Sergeants will be addressed as such, not simply Sergeants) and all Officers will be addressed as Sir or Ma'am.
  6. * Warrant Officers may be addressed as "Chief" but must state so in an MFR submitted to our Moderation team where by a list of names will be submitted as such in a sticky thread.
  7. * Veterans will still be treated as if Active Military, but will only be allowed to wear the upcoming Veteran Hat flair next to their usernames.
  8. * Any further threads disrespecting the current or past SMAs will be met with swift justice.
  9. * National Guard and Reserve soldiers will be addressed as Sir or Ma'am, just as regular civilians.
  10. * Any soldier caught typing "Sarn't" or any other varation of this will be met, again, with swift justice.
  11. Failure to follow any of the above rules will result in one warning and if continued, immediate expulsion from /r/Army.
  12. We are actively working on a system to try and implement a Hooah requirement in posts - try to get in the habit of typing "Hooah" at least once per two sentences in a post, as this will be the standard in the coming weeks.
  13. Any questions can be directed to /u/xsaicoticx, our acting PSG, who will then route the question to /u/citisol, our acting Commander, who will then route the question to our moderation team. Anyone skipping the chain of Command will be met with swift justice and a letter of reprimand to your actual Chain of Command (or spouse, if a Veteran).
  14. Have a Hooah Army Day!
