- So something like a Wedding domain being redirected to a site about Bicycles.
- A few years ago I did this with a couple domains and everything exploded in ranks but about a year later my rankings hit a plateau. I didn't see a reduction in traffic. It's like it hit an invisible ceiling and can't grow past it, no matter how much I publish and how many new links I get.

- How many sites were above you? What were they doing different than you (other than age related factors)?
- You redirected wedding anchors to a site about bicycles. So now you have a biking site full of bicycle related anchors. Not sure what you expected to happen. Few years ago it might have been a viable strategy, but definitely not these days.

- Well, he can always try adding more bicycle sites with wedding anchors, until Google's algorithm "identifies" a new relevancy between wedding and bicycles. ;)
- 301ing will also 301 the anchors. So a very bad idea to do this.
