I'm one of those that give their best every time they do something, and it pisses me off when I see other players that aren't even TRYING. I wish it didn't, but it does.

I'm also the kind of person that loves teaching others. The thing is not everyone likes or wants to be taught. I understand that: different people enjoy the game in different ways.

I've been playing this game on and off since 2.2 and I used to try to give constructive criticism whenever I found myself playing with these said bad players. Those who start talking at the beginning of a dungeon or raid are usually the ones more open to listening to you.

But then, when I'm the one that starts the conversation, more often than not I was met with either passive-aggression or people just plainly ignoring anything that was said, no matter how carefully I walked on those eggshells.

When doing dungeons or roulettes, whenever I was paired with a shitty player, I'd just quit to avoid the stress or even being toxic.

As time passed, I started avoiding more and more playing with random people. I wouldn't do leveling/extreme roulettes anymore. I'd raid only with friends and, if we had to pug someone for the raid, I'd let them do the talking.

A few days ago, as I was finishing capping my last job (DNC), I was paired with a DRG that was doing REALLY shitty DPS. The rage was starting to build up, but since that one was literally the last dungeon I was doing for leveling in Shadowbringers, I decided to push myself through it. I noticed he was hitting single targets on trash mobs, so I changed my Close Position to the tank instead without saying a word. I think he noticed that and, a few moments later, he said something like "my weaponskills are not coming off, hold on a sec", then complained something else about his keyboard. THAT. COMMUNICATION. My anger vanished instantly.

I completely understand there are several reasons someone could be playing badly, but IT STILL PISSES ME OFF, unless there's some communication. I just hope someday it won't anymore, for my own sake.
