- As the group did their best to find the most comfortable area of floor to sleep on, sweeping away the loose rocks and rubble, slowly their idle chatter turned to questions for Meepo, the kobold who had been designated as their guide for this place.
- "Meepo doesn't know too much," the kobold began, "but I can tell you of my duty, and why it is important to my people! I am the Keeper of Dragons, and it was my duty to watch over Calcryx, a great white dragon. Kobolds honor the dragons, and do what we can to serve them! Calcryx loved me; I can't imagine how he's doing without my care..." The scars covering Meepo's body raised questions on just how much the "dragon" actually enjoyed the kobold's company, but the party let him continue.
- "Yusdrayl says we are heir to the great dragons, so it's important for us to guard these sacred lands. But ever since the human showed up, him and the goblins have kept us from the rest of the holy grounds. The human is only interested in the bottom area. Yusdrayl calls it the twilight grove. I've never been that deep into this place before, but Yusdrayl tells us even the bravest of kobolds didn't dare go down there. She says monster that are made of roots and twigs live there, and that they are hungry for the blood of living things. I guess he doesn't mind them though, since for a few years now he has lived there." Meepo shrugged and yawned slightly. It seems all the action of the day had weighed heavily on him as well, and he laid down to rest. "Sleep well, and do not worry too much! It's been weeks since Goblins have made their way through these parts, so you can rest easy."
