Biological Genesis on his parents

Your mom had really come a long way from how she was before, but some things were still just a bit too much. No longer being strictly genetically human was actually okay with her. Being able to act at 24 times peak human capability-and being automatically adjusted to control that strength-was okay with her. Even having mystic traits gently implanted into her was something she was okay with. Where she drew the line, however, was when she would become blatantly inhuman.

Hyper Regeneration, Nanoforge Cells, Etheric Mitochondria, and a weakened Self-Observation Effect were all that she was willing to accept; the rest of the possible traits you could implant into her were too out of there for her to be comfortable with. Dad initially volunteered for the whole set, but upon later reflection decided to cut out the entire "etheric traits" set; being aware of literally everything around him was apparently invaluable in the kitchen, and having perfect bodily control could not be underestimated. A pinch would now forever be an exact amount instead of an instinct-based and semi-random amount!

And so, on December 31st you proceeded to have the two of them undergo Biological Genesis-with a good bit of spiritual Alteration on the side. It was something you'd noticed, but the soul needed to have certain...attributes? Add-ons? Something like that, or else certain impossible biological traits would be severely weakened. So naturally part of the operation included Altering their souls so that they could accept their changes. While you were doing that you discovered something like the genetic and structural data of their previous body embedded into their soul, interconnected with their concepts of History, Self, and Body. It didn't take much to Alter that information to fit the update, but it did make you wonder...
