  11. -----
  12. Happy 200th thread everyone, more Dead Space x Hazbin now.
  13. >Lilith sat alone in her palace in Pandaemonium
  14. >For once, she was genuinely worried
  15. >The last time she was ever this anxious was when Charlie left them.
  16. >But at least she knew where both her husband and daughter were then
  17. >Now, neither of them were answering their cell phones
  18. >And it didn't help that just minutes ago, heaven sent a bomb of sorts and trashed up Pentagram City, along with who knows where else.
  19. >She tried calling both again
  20. >Still no one answered
  21. >A sigh escaped the Queen's lips
  22. >"What have you two gotten into now?"
  23. >In a neighboring universe, the two were battling against the legions of undead for life itself.
  24. -
  25. >Somewhere on a cold, distant planet, a lone soldier stood, fighting for his life.
  26. >His comrades were all gone
  27. >No one was answering their coms
  28. >And it seemed even Danik's forces left
  29. >Now inside one of the old buildings, Sgt Carver tried contacting the two surviving members of his crew again
  30. >"Isaac, Isaac answer me if you're there."
  31. >Nothing
  32. >"Ellie? Ellie come on, give me something here damn it."
  33. >Langford didn't respond
  34. >"Fucking........"
  35. >Carver let out a frustrated growl, he was in no condition to be patient, his side was bleeding, his head hurt, and overall, he felt like shit.
  36. >And to top it all off, the markers still had a grasp on his sanity
  37. >His vision kept flashing, one minute he was on the freezing landscape of Tau Volantis
  38. >Next thing he knew, he was somewhere else.
  39. >All he knew was that this other place, was scary.
  40. >Everything was red
  41. >He caught glimpses of monsters
  42. >And the sky......
  43. >".....a pentagram?!......."
  44. >But the soldier kept trying to keep his mind off it.
  45. >He knew this was all a hallucination
  46. >The markers fucked with him enough already, making him see and her his dead family, torturing him and guilting him.
  47. >But no, not this time
  48. >Carver wasn't going to let them take what remained of his sanity
  49. >"ISAAC.....ISAAAAC"
  50. >He continued to call his friend's name, out into both the icy landscape, and hellish abyss.
  51. -
  52. >By now Lilith decided to take matters into her own hands
  53. >She had left Pandaemonium to search for her family
  54. >As she entered Pentagram, she knew something was off already
  55. >The city wasn't as busy as it usually was, even with the lack of exterminators
  56. >There should have been more demons than this, out and about making each other's lives miserable.
  57. >And the silence, it was too silent.
  58. >But wait, what was that?
  59. >Yelling, there was yelling.
  60. >Someone was yelling, good thing the exterminators were gone, otherwise he'd be a goner.
  61. >Lilith made her way to the source of the yelling, and what she saw, was an armored man.
  62. >His suit gave off a red glow, he looked like the human from earlier, but not
  63. >His suit gave off a red glow instead of a blue glow
  64. >And his voice sounded different to.
  65. >"ISAAC........ISAAAC WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"
  66. >Poor thing, he didn't know did he?
  67. >He was already dead.
  68. >Lilith found it depressing, how ignorant human souls could be
  69. >Fooling themselves with the illusion that they were still alive
  70. >Yet, how could anyone survive with a wound a severe as the spaceman had in his chest?
  71. -
  72. >Carver could feel the cold air cutting his skin
  73. >It hurt, but he could handle it
  74. >He'd been through worst before
  75. >Like that one time on mars, when....
  76. >Suddenly, he was back in the hellish realm.
  77. >"Not again.......goddamn markers....."
  78. >"Sir.....are you alright?"
  79. >A woman's voice spoke to him
  80. >"ELLIE? Thank Christ........"
  81. >Carver turned around, but was met by someone else other than Ellie.
  82. >It was a tall woman, who easily towered over him.
  83. >Carver felt uneasy by her
  84. >Her eyes were red and yellow, and her skin a dark shade of white
  85. >And she dressed like some gothic vampire from one of those teen romance novels.
  86. >"I'm afraid I'm not who you were hopping for."
  87. >"Who.....no.......no your not real, just another hallucination....."
  88. >He walked past her and continued to call out to Isaac.
  89. >"FOR FUCK SAKES ISAAC, WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE, WHERE ARE YOU?!"
  90. >"For your information, I'm as real as you are."
  91. >The woman hadn't left him
  92. >Rather, she was now following him.
  93. >"Like hell you are, anyone dressed like you would've died minutes ago, this cold is to harsh for normal clothing."
  94. >"It's only 40 degrees Fahrenheit, in the middle of October."
  95. >"No, it far below that, do you have any idea where we are?"
  96. >"Hell"
  97. >By now, Carver's vision had stopped flipping back and forth
  98. >Now, only Hell remained, and the temperature was notably warmer than it was mere seconds ago.
  99. -
  100. >"No......No......"
  101. >Carver began feeling light headed
  102. >"How?........."
  103. >He turned, eyes glaring at the woman before him.
  104. >"Who......are you.....?"
  105. >Her face remained stoic.
  106. >"Lilith Magne, queen of Hell."
  107. >Wait what?
  108. >"Lilith as in-"
  109. >"First human woman made? Cast down here for being to headstrong? Yes.....and no, I'm like some common whore like the internet creeps fantasize that I am, I'm married you know."
  110. >Right now, Carver didn't give a shit about whatever it was she was saying about the internet.
  111. >"Well I've got to be going."
  112. >A hand grabbed his shoulder
  113. >"Where would that be?"
  114. >"Back to Earth or Tau, my friends need me........the markers aren't gone........I've got to warn them.........have to save them......."
  115. >Carver pulled free and ran
  116. >Lilith caught up soon and spun him towards her
  117. >"You can't"
  118. >"AND WHY THE FUCK NOT?"
  119. >"You're dead."
  120. >A sharp pain rang out through Carver's chest
  121. >The spike.......
  122. >He was remembering now
  123. >"No......no, dear...god no......"
  124. >He remembered it all now.
  125. >He and Isaac were there on the brethren moon
  126. >Isaac pushes in the codex and turned it
  127. >They destroyed the moon
  128. >Both were launched from it and fell
  129. >Carver was stabbed by one of the moon's many sharp teeth.
  130. >He fell with it through his chest.
  131. >His final moments alive, he saw Isaac a few feet away falling with him
  132. >He held something in his hands, a photo, and threw it away.
  133. >Carver caught it, and looked at it.
  134. >It was Ellie
  135. >He hopped she was safe, far away from this hellhole.
  136. >Suddenly, he spotted another machine below them.
  137. >A red glow surrounded them, and they fell through a portal to another world.
  138. -
  139. >Carver fell down towards a city, Isaac landed outside
  140. >The Sgt landed in an alleyway, outside unimaginable creatures ran, some saw him, but none helped him.
  141. >He glanced down at the photo, and released it into the wind.
  142. >His strength was leaving him....
  143. >He took one last breath, and died.....
  144.
  145. >He felt the spike in his chest, and tore it out.
  146. >The hole then began to heal, leaving a hole in his suit.
  147. >Afterwards, Carver stood paralyzed in fear.
  148. >His friends were still alive and out there.
  149. >Isaac was probably stuck down here, maybe already gone.
  150. >And to top it all off, he knew they hadn't defeated the markers
  151. >Yet he could do nothing about it.
  152. >He felt two warm sensations run down his cheeks.
  153. >Tears....
  154. >"This..............Isn't........."
  155. >His throat was clogged.
  156. >He knew he'd done bad things in life
  157. >But was this what he deserved?
  158. >Worst of all, he would never see his family again.
  159. >They wouldn't greet him in heaven
  160. >He wouldn't hold his son in a hug, apologize to him, tell him how much he loved him.
  161. >He wouldn't never turn to his wife and say the same to her
  162. >They wouldn't spend eternity together.
  163. >To say he was heartbroken would be an understatement
  164. >He was broken.
  165. >"Sir......sir?"
  166. >Lilith's voice brought him back to reality.
  167. -
  168. >"I'm fine........just......"
  169. >Carver didn't even know what to do next.
  170. >What else was there to do? He was stuck here in hell with no way to communicate with Isaac or Ellie.
  171. >Nor could he do anything
  172. >So naturally he felt lost.
  173. >"Are you sure?"
  174. >"No.....frankly I feel like crap. I'm dead, my comrades are in danger, and my home is probably gone too."
  175. >"Do you have anyone else? Anyone back home you care for?"
  176. >"No, not anymore, they're all dead to. My wife and kid, guess I'll never see them again."
  177. >"I wasn't there for them in life, now I can't even be with them in the afterlife."
  178. >If he hadn't already cried out all the liquids in his body, then Carver would now.
  179. >"Was it really your fault?"
  180. >"What?"
  181. >"Did you purposefully avoid your family?"
  182. >"No, not really, being a part of Earth Gov takes you places, far places. Couldn't be there for my family. The one day I'm away and I hear that at the station we lived on, Unitiology paid a visit....and they came armed."
  183. >Lilith didn't need to hear the rest, she knew where this was heading.
  184. >"They didn't make it, and so couldn't be there to save them."
  185. >Normally Lilith wouldn't be going around and comforting depressed sinners like this, they were here for a reason after all.
  186. >But this man here, hearing his story touched the parental instincts within her.
  187. >"If you were there you would've died to then, soldier or not, it wouldn't be hard for the group to kill you, strength in numbers after all."
  188. >"At least they wouldn't have died alone, at least I wouldn't have been alone."
  189. >"It doesn't matter, you loved them greatly, did you not? Even if you weren't there, they wouldn't hold it against you. And they especially won't now, do enough with being sorry for yourself."
  190. -
  191. >The words seemed to reach Carver, and his crying halted.
  192. >But she could still feel that he wasn't settled
  193. >"Earlier, you were calling out for your friend, Isaac, right?"
  194. >"Yeah, what's it mean to you?"
  195. >"Well, your friend is down here to, but alive, last I checked he at the news station, but that was hours ago."
  196. >Carver's face lit up
  197. >"You're serious?"
  198. >"That's not all, my husband called me half an hour ago, said he was with him and they were going to my daughter's hotel, after that, a light came and tore this place up.
  199. >By then, they noticed the bright light not too far.
  200. >A beeping came from Carver's R.I.G, he studied it and his jaw dropped
  201. >"Isaac was here, his R.I.G signal days he went thought that light, he really is okay."
  202. >Lilith smiled
  203. >That meant that her family was also okay
  204. >She caught Carver rushing over to the light, she teleported closer to him
  205. >"Hold on."
  206. >"I can't, I've got to help Isaac. I'm getting more signals now, whatever's on the other side........it involves the markers......we've got to hurry."
  207. >"Please tell me what these 'markers are already'"
  208. >"I'll explain as we go."
  209. >And so, the two jumped through the portal.
  210. >Mankind gained two more allies in the fight against the Necromorphs, but
  211. would this be enough to save them?
  212.
  213. That'll be all for tonight, see you guys for the finale tomorrow.
