S-Link 1 - Twilight (N)

Canterlot High is a busy place, especially at lunch time.

Everyone has their social circles, and it can be a little overwhelming for a newcomer.

So today, you decide to take a break from the lunchroom and find somewhere quieter - the Library.

It really is silent, so much so you flinch as the door loudly clicks closed behind you.

An exasperated sigh comes from the checkout desk.

???: Do you mind? Some people are trying to study here.

The girl behind the counter gives you a withering glare.

You look around and see that no one else is in sight.

>Option 1 - You mean me?

	???: Who else would I be talking to?

	You grin sheepishly, while the girl continues to give you an icy stare until she loses interest in your presence.

>Option 2 - Where is everyone?

	???: At lunch - why do you think I'm here in the first place?

	The girl stares at you for a moment longer before turning back to the book in front of her.

>Option 3 - Sorry, I wanted to go somewhere quiet.
	+1 S-Link
	???: Oh, I understand that. You're in the right spot; it's just you and me right now.

	The girl's expression softens into a small smile before she turns back 	to her book.

After a few awkward seconds, you move closer to the table.

The girl sighs as you approach, placing her finger inside her book and letting the cover close.

???: This is a library. You know, a place to study?

???: Although, I haven't seen you around before, are you new?

There's a certain curious sparkle in the girl's eyes as she asks about you.

>Option 1 - Have her guess.

	???: How would you expect someone you've never met to know something like that?

	The girl seems a little put-off by your joke, so you tell her anyway. You also learn hers: Twilight Sparkle.

>Option 2 - Introduce yourself.

	???: Oh, so you're [Player]! I've heard a little about you from my friends. My name is Twilight Sparkle.

	Twilight appreciates your forthrightness. She offers you a soft smile.

>Option 3 - Make a game of it.
	+1 S-Link
	???: So you'll give me clues and I guess, huh? Hmm, alright, but you should know I'm the queen of solving mysteries!

	She figures out your name after three clues. It takes you a dozen to find out hers: Twilight Sparkle.

After finishing your introductions, Twilight gives you a smile.

Twilight: Well, it was nice to meet you [Player], but the bell should be ringing soon.

Twilight: I really want to get through this next chapter, too.

Tapping her book on the counter, Twilight gives you an expectant look.

You don't need to be told twice and give her a friendly wave.

Twilight does the same, but immediately goes back to her book as you walk towards the door.


S-Link 2 - Twilight (N)

The Library really is a great place to get away from the general buzz of the school.

The space is almost like another world: quiet, serene, it even smells different.

And you can almost always find Twilight Sparkle working behind the desk.

Twilight: Oh, welcome back.

It isn't much of a greeting - she doesn't even bother to look up from her book.

Still, she doesn't glare at you when you sit down across from her.

She makes it a whole three page turns before finally sighing and closing the book on her finger.

Twilight: I suppose there's a reason why you're just kind of staring at me?

>Option 1 - Trying to figure her out.
	S-Link +0.6
	Twilight: Is that so? Then enlighten me, Watson: who am I?

	Twilight gentle smiles as you try to put into words what you've uncovered about her so far.

>option 2 - The atmosphere.
	S-Link +1
	Twilight: Really? Maybe I had you pegged wrong, [Player]...

	Twilight grins, nodding her head in agreement.

>Option 3 - Admit you come to see her.
	S-Link +0.2
	Twilight: That hardly seems like an efficient use of time.

	Twilight's expression is about as disinterested as she can manage.

As the conversation begins to peter out, you see her glance back to her book.

Knowing you've got one chance to save this interaction, you decide to pick her brain!

>Option 1 - Why don't you go to the cafeteria?
	S-Link +0.2
	Twilight: Well, I spend the period before lunch here, so it just works 		out that way.

	Twilight gives a small shrug, clearly never having given it much thought 	before.

>Option 2 - Why do you spend lunch here?
	S-Link +1
	Twilight: Have you tried studying out in the lunch room? It's a total madhouse!

	Twilight covers her mouth and giggles.

>Option 3 - Don't you have anyone to eat with?
	S-Link +0.6
	Twilight: Sure, I have my friends - but I've been so busy lately getting ready for exams...

	Twilight sinks a little at that, obviously trying to avoid eye contact.

After the moment passes, Twilight gives you that same, gentle, slightly chastising smile.

Twilight: Well, it was nice to see you again [Player]; I appreciate you dropping by, but-

Twilight taps her finger on the book cover.

Twilight: I still have work to do.

Twilight: Maybe we can get lunch together someday soon though.

Twilight: Give me your number and I'll text you, OK?

You exchange numbers with Twilight.

She says she'll text you soon.

But you get the feeling she's not going to answer yours until she's in the mood...
