  1. - We had followed each other on Twitter for a few years, had mutual friends from local events and online, seen each other at events, liked each other's work. They moved to a company that had a use for my product and said they'd love to help us and set up a deal.

  3. - E-mail out of the blue that said they saw Rich's blog post about the product and knew of his work, said they would like to try it.

  5. - Saw a conference talk I posted to Twitter, had followed our progress on Twitter for a while, and reached out via our website with interest. Never really went anywhere, timing was off, then a year later said they could use it now.

  7. - Knew us from industry networks, heard about the product, reached out to us but then said they don't want to do a deal because they could build it themselves. A year later came back and said they'd rather just buy our product.

  9. - We had followed each other on Twitter for years, had mutual friends, and talked. They were always very friendly & supportive. Once the product matured and got the features needed, reached out to make a deal.

  11. - Reached out after seeing us talk at a big conference, said they knew of our work for a while but was waiting to make sure we were stable.

  17. - Followed me on Twitter for months (along with several other people at the company) before reaching out via our website asking if their company could use our product.
