  1. Sky blue eyes stared at the beast, Bai stayed back, rushing forward only to deliver a well timed blow. Yet in the end, what they were doing didn't seem to be enough, the abomination was laughing at them, he could feel it. It was laughing at the small ants that crawled against its body.
  2.
  3. Bai was quick to anger, the scythe they held shining with a vibrantly holy aura. It was already decided, but as they were going to rush, they saw Rikona fighting on with a hole through their chest. It was then that a calm overcame his entire being.
  4.
  5. Small steps were taken, eyes glazed over while Bai looked over all his family, and Angelo. This was a losing battle, even if they wont...he was sure it wouldn't be without sacrifices, "So be it...You monstrosity, let me show you what we can do, cover me."
  6.
  7. Small specks began appearing around everyone around him, each one swiftly growing to encompassing their bodies. Each blow that rained down upon them vanished upon impact with the barriers, a strange notion for those battling to have all the pressure of the blows taken away.
  8.
  9. If one were to look towards Bai and his slow moving form, veins were already bursting out of his skin. Cracks were criss-crossing all over his already devastated body, teeth were grit, copper taste filling his throat.
  10.
  11. Pain.
  12.
  13. It was all just excruciating pain for the barrier magi, his thoughts were muddled, barely even forming. Yet like a forced command, all they could think about was 'protecting'. All of them, everybody, they must not die, Zeriel must live, Rikona must live, Ban must live. It cant be allowed, not over his body.
  14.
  15. Bai was sure that others were covering him, his barriers making sure that they were unimpeded, allowing him to reach the giant.
  16.
  17. It was ended with a swing of his scythe, its edge not even slashing into the snake. But that wasn't needed, as withthe slight touch of the tip, all the pain, all the pressure, misery...Everything they had been gathering throughout the battle, it all was released in a single tap into the things body.
  18.
  19. It'd end and Bai would just stand there, looking absolutely wretched while they turned to wave at their family one last time. It was too bad Salthiel, Teriesh, and Yui weren't here...Or maybe it was for the best? He didn't know, nor could he fathom it as the once bright light that was Bai faded.
  20.
  21. He was off to adventures unknown, to await his family, to protect them from the lifestream.
  22. (Bai Long)
