  1. [6/26/2015 4:10:27 PM] Scootie-sama: Wants to get certain commissions/gifts done, contacts are static as fuck
  2. [6/26/2015 4:11:21 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Having trouble getting in contact with some of your commissioners?
  3. [6/26/2015 4:12:34 PM] Scootie-sama: Well I know one said he was busy and it'd take an hour, so I waited and gave a preview to the sketch, still waiting on his response. The person I'm trying to make a gift for did speak but has been going static on me lately
  4. [6/26/2015 4:20:52 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Ah, I'm sure they'll respond eventually, they're probably just busy with something at the moment. ^_^ Speaking of which, I've started the basic sketches for your gift as well. Hopefully, I'll have that ready to show you soon.
  5. [6/26/2015 4:23:28 PM] Scootie-sama: What about the commissions for the people you had to do?
  6. [6/26/2015 4:26:30 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I'm making progress with those as well. It's just hard to stay focused on drawing one thing for too long, so I tend to jump back and forth between projects.
  7. [6/26/2015 4:26:44 PM] Scootie-sama: Stop
  8. [6/26/2015 4:26:50 PM] Scootie-sama: That's another problem
  9. [6/26/2015 4:26:57 PM] Scootie-sama: Work to one goal at a time
  10. [6/26/2015 4:27:07 PM] Scootie-sama: I'm starting to use a check list here
  11. [6/26/2015 4:27:18 PM] Scootie-sama: List of what I have to draw
  12. [6/26/2015 4:27:33 PM] Scootie-sama: I check off when the sketch is completed, then inks, and then colors
  13. [6/26/2015 4:27:42 PM] Scootie-sama: So if I finish a sketch
  14. [6/26/2015 4:27:54 PM] Scootie-sama: I can move on to the next sketch before even touching the inks
  15. [6/26/2015 4:28:25 PM] Scootie-sama: Really helps to keep organized and not get all jumbled up
  16. [6/26/2015 4:30:48 PM] Shrimp Noodle: That's what I used to do, but lately I've been struggling to keep my motivation up, so I have to keep myself active and invested somehow.
  17. [6/26/2015 4:31:23 PM] Scootie-sama: Well, jumping back an forth will honestly get you mixed up
  18. [6/26/2015 4:31:59 PM] Scootie-sama: This list I started doing actually helps me stay on track and I actually feel really good when I get to check off one of the stages of the art before getting to the next
  19. [6/26/2015 4:32:15 PM] Scootie-sama: It's actually really motivating to me
  20. [6/26/2015 4:36:36 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Well, sounds pretty effective...now I just need to work up the motivation for writing lists. XD
  21. [6/26/2015 4:38:39 PM] Scootie-sama: You can write it anyway you want! Me, I pretty much have a dumb joke or pun to name the work titles
  22. [6/26/2015 4:39:00 PM] Scootie-sama: Then label them as art trades/com/gifts/etc. etc.
  23. [6/26/2015 4:44:49 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I'm too lazy for that, though. I mostly just separate my art projects into labeled folders in Sai, and that's how I normally 'list' my work.
  24. [6/26/2015 4:46:18 PM] Scootie-sama: How are you too lazy to write a list when you write stories? >~>
  25. [6/26/2015 4:47:46 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Well, I love creating stuff...but I get lazy with everything else.
  26. [6/26/2015 4:48:16 PM] Scootie-sama: >A>
  27. [6/26/2015 4:49:16 PM] Scootie-sama: Have you ever felt the need to consult with others to help you further strength the ideas you have, it'd help to branch creativity, ya just gotta get thinking, just not too much
  28. [6/26/2015 4:59:19 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Well, I used to do that ever now and again, but lately I only tend to consult with others when I don't really have anything planned at the time. Considering everything that's happened with fans and friends in the past, it just feels weird having someone else put forth ideas on projects that only I'll be putting any work into.
  29. [6/26/2015 5:03:35 PM] Scootie-sama: You don't really have to take their suggestions, you can refuse them and then find about those things brought to the table to actually inspire an idea
  30. [6/26/2015 5:19:01 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, I suppose so...if I get a good opportunity for it, I'll start asking around or write a journal asking for any idea suggestions then. ^_^
  31. [6/26/2015 5:21:14 PM | Edited 5:21:26 PM] Scootie-sama: Come on man, take action after you say >A>
  32. [6/26/2015 5:21:47 PM] Scootie-sama: It's been a week and you could've made announcement for a good deal of help
  33. [6/26/2015 5:47:48 PM] Scootie-sama: What are you doing EC-sama?
  34. [6/26/2015 5:54:17 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Just sketching and watching America's Got Talent at the moment. And you?
  35. [6/26/2015 5:54:54 PM] Scootie-sama: Sketching porn and watching the CEO smash tourney on twitch
  36. [6/26/2015 6:03:56 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Ah, sounds interesting, can't wait to see what you come up with. And the CEO Smash Tourney? I'm curious enough to get on twitch myself and check it out now.
  37. [6/26/2015 6:04:22 PM] Scootie-sama: HBox is about to face off against Leffen
  38. [6/26/2015 6:04:33 PM] Scootie-sama: For the Melee double finals
  39. [6/26/2015 6:04:53 PM] Scootie-sama: Zero is waiting to face HBox for the Sm4sh Doubles finals
  40. [6/26/2015 6:05:30 PM] Scootie-sama: Also a little update for Scoots is that he has power hips :v
  41. [6/26/2015 6:05:47 PM] Scootie-sama: Crushing force and nasty countering hip checks
  42. [6/26/2015 6:24:22 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Hey, I'm going to take a break to play some TF2 for a little while.
  43. [6/26/2015 6:24:30 PM] Scootie-sama: OKee
  44. [6/26/2015 6:24:48 PM] Scootie-sama: You have to search for more artist friends
  45. [6/26/2015 6:29:41 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, definitely.
  46. [6/26/2015 6:30:48 PM] Scootie-sama: It makes it sound like your getting tired of just watchers and fans
  47. [6/26/2015 6:49:38 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yep, especially getting tired of fans trying to get free art off of me as well.
  48. [6/26/2015 6:50:13 PM] Scootie-sama: Damn, do they even show a bit of loyalty to you?
  49. [6/26/2015 6:50:16 PM] Scootie-sama: Like at all?
  50. [6/26/2015 7:02:23 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Not really. It seems like most non-artists are more interested in what I can give them than anything else.
  51. [6/26/2015 7:03:12 PM] Scootie-sama: Then those people you don't need, they are completely toxic to you >A>
  52. [6/26/2015 7:04:58 PM] Scootie-sama: If you wanna make friends with artist peeps, you gotta be more outgoing
  53. [6/26/2015 7:05:02 PM] Scootie-sama: Talking to em
  54. [6/26/2015 7:05:20 PM] Scootie-sama: Being interactive with people grabs attention quickly
  55. [6/26/2015 7:13:41 PM] Scootie-sama: Like, leave comments on art you like, that's where you start, with peeps you don't know :3
  56. [6/26/2015 7:54:51 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, that's a good point. I guess it's just difficult to get started on that when I have so many other things to worry about lately.
  57. [6/26/2015 7:55:25 PM] Scootie-sama: It's as simple as leaving a comment on art, it's not hard =A=
  58. [6/26/2015 7:58:46 PM] Shrimp Noodle: It is when you're trying to build motivation on anything.
  59. [6/26/2015 7:59:35 PM] Scootie-sama: Motivation can come at anytime and go
  60. [6/26/2015 7:59:48 PM] Scootie-sama: If you want it, you gotta go get it, not wait to get motivated to do so
  61. [6/26/2015 7:59:57 PM] Scootie-sama: I'm not even motivated to do art right now
  62. [6/26/2015 8:00:12 PM] Scootie-sama: And the only reason I'm doing it is cause I want it to get done :v
  63. [6/26/2015 8:00:32 PM] Scootie-sama: People tend to think motivation is the real drive for art when hard work is =A=
  64. [6/26/2015 8:09:30 PM] Shrimp Noodle: It's never quite that simple, though. But hey, it's getting about time for me to call it a night for Skype, so I'll just call it a day and get some rest.
  65. [6/26/2015 8:10:34 PM] Scootie-sama: Alright then, but it's not that it isn't simple, you just think it's difficult when you haven't really tried, even if the comment you leave only has 2-5 words in it.
  66. [6/26/2015 8:21:28 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I suppose so. You have a good night, and I'll talk with you later.
