Description: Father is the main antagonist of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and the first homunculus created in Xerxes from the blood of Slave #23 (Van Hohenheim). He is responsible for the destruction of Xerxes: being close to the ruler, he tricked him into creating the Philosopher's Stone from the country, which he later took possession of, gaining unimaginable power and normal human form. Subsequently, on the basis of his vices and desires, he created all other homunculi from his body (the seven deadly sins), which is why he was called Father. Later, to continue his evolution and grow in power, Father, through a brilliant and very sophisticated mind founded the great city of Amestris and controlled its politics in order to create from its population a philosopher's stone of sufficient power to open the Gates of Earth and hold "The Truth" within him, which he eventually succeeded in doing.
Appearance: Immediately after creation, Father (then referred to simply as a homunculus) looked like a spherical blob of black substance with a single red eye. But by harnessing the power of the Philosopher's Stone, the Father created a human body like that of Van Hohenheim, whose blood was the raw material for its creation. For the next few centuries he looked like an almost exact copy of his prototype - a tall and sturdily built middle-aged man with coarse features, long hair and beard - but he did not wear glasses, and preferred long light-coloured togas. At the very end, after absorbing millions of souls from the citizens of Amestris and opening the Gates of Earth and sealing the The Truth within, his human form changed slightly to look like a teenager and his clothes were limited to a loincloth.
Personality: Father's nature is that of a born scientist and politician. He has a particularly sharp mind (which allowed him to develop a circle for the Philosopher's Stone and a plan to activate it on a national scale) and a very high regard for knowledge (though this regard is based primarily on the possibility of its practical application), his very goal of gaining omnipotence and access to the workings of the universe is driven by a desire to "comprehend the world". In part, however, his thirst for omnipotence may be due to a possible inferiority complex that arose in the distant past in the helpless creature locked in a test tube at birth and its envy of humans. In his pursuit of his goal, Father is calculating, cold-blooded, cynical and cruel. For all his current cold-bloodedness, before he "separated" the seven deadly sins from himself, Father was highly emotional, cheerful and even sociable (and in his interactions, ironic and rather cheeky).

Father as a battle character has three battle forms that change as needed, with absolutely nothing stopping him from taking forms out of order or reverting to the very first.

The first form is called "The First Homunculus" - Originally a helpless creature from a test tube, Father, through his knowledge and manipulation of humans, gained immense power through a ritual in Xerxes that transformed Father into a living philosopher's stone - the materialised form of 536,000 souls of the dead inhabitants of that nation. Changed his original shadow-like body, giving it a humanoid form. Using the absorbed souls as a source of energy, Father is able to use the world's most powerful form of magic, alchemy, which is extremely effective in battle.
Alchemy is the science of transforming matter from one form into another. The first step is to recognise the structure of matter, the second step is to decompose it into its constituents, and the third step is to synthesise the desired substance from the constituents and give it the desired form. Father does not need alchemical circles or even movements to perform the transformation, he activates alchemical reactions with a single effort of will:
1. Elemental Transmutations: Father is able to change the structure and elemental composition of all matter and all form energy within his radius of action with an effort of thought, he uses this universal ability for a variety of purposes, such as instantly creating impenetrable walls for defence, or attacking an enemy with sharp spikes created from the floor, crushing them with shifting stone slabs, etc. whatever the imagination can conjure up. Father is able to turn earth or stone into liquid to submerge himself in them and move in the depths stealthily away from the enemy, attacking back or avoiding attacks.
2. Elemental Decomposition: Father bypasses strength and is able to attack directly at the molecular level, destroying the target's structure, from tearing it to shreds to breaking the molecules themselves and atomic bonds. The ability is extremely effective, and Father uses it for both attack (disintegrating the enemy) and defence (disintegrating projectiles and targeted abilities).
3. All-Reflective Barrier: Father creates a hemisphere around himself that reflects attacks directed at him back at opponents, for example, a projectile flies into the barrier and rearranges itself on the fly so that it travels in the opposite direction at the same speed, the same goes for abilities.
4. Biological Transmutations: Father is able to transmute the organisms of living beings gaining absolute control over all genes and bacteria in the body, Father can biologically remake any creature by directly affecting organs, bones, limbs and everything else, if desired Father is also able to instantly cure wounds and diseases with a single thought.
5. Homunculus Creation: Father is able to create a human-based homunculus (artificial life form) by synthesising the Philosopher's Stone from his body and infusing it into the blood of a chosen opponent. By transforming and reformatting his body, the Philosopher's Stone gives him new abilities and powers, and a surrogate consciousness created by Father takes control of his body. At the same time, in fact, all created homunculi are part of the Father, and he can bring them back into himself at will, and then transplant them into a new body.
6. Immunities: Father, being a living philosopher's stone is beyond the rules, he immune to any change or transformation of his own body, negative effects on his soul, consciousness and abilities.

The second form of the Father is called the ‘True Form’ - in which the Father, having discarded his human disguise, assumes his original form of a blob of shadows with many eyes.
1. Intangibility: in this form, Father is completely intangible and can pass through any obstacle.
2. Shape-shifting: Father can freely change the shape of his body, pulling out strange dark tentacles and easily cutting through matter and foes with them, Father can also split into separate shadows and rejoin them. He can transform his body, turning his hand into an unimaginable weapon and so on.
3. Absorption: in this form, Father is able to absorb opponents with any part of his body, completely copying their abilities, skills, weapons and technology.

Father's third form is called ‘The Power of Truth’ - through a ritual, Father absorbed the souls of all the inhabitants of the country of Amestris (over 50 million people) into himself, which gave him an unlimited amount of energy. He used this energy to open the Gates of Earth, absorbing and holding in his body the creature known in the world of alchemy as Truth. This gave Father truly unlimited power. In this form he, using his Mind to the maximum is capable of unimaginable syntheses of energy, matter, and anything else, creating the most terrible and beautiful effects and things.
1. Thermonuclear Fusion: Father is capable of lighting a small sun right in the palm of his hand, creating a thermonuclear explosion and other such things.
2. Weather Control: changing the weather on a planetary scale, allowing him to create tornadoes, thunderstorms, hurricanes, snowfalls, and the like.
3. Temperature Control: Father is able to change the surrounding temperature from absolute zero to the heat of a thousand suns.
4. Cataclysm Control: summoning earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, tornadoes, or the attraction of huge asteroids, and summoning meteor showers.
5. Gravity Control: freely control gravity, increasing it to the point where opponents will fall to their knees, or on the contrary will be thrown into outer space.
6. Barrier of Truth: at will, Father will disintegrate attacks directed at him, or transmute projectiles back into the enemy.
7. Flight: Father is able to levitate.
8. Soul Absorption: Father can draw souls from enemies at a great distance and absorb them in a matter of seconds.
9. Pure Energy Ejection: Father is able to instantly vaporise or destroy an entire city with just a powerful stream of energy.
10. Alteration: Father is free to change his size, shape, punching power, movement speed, level of coordination, dexterity, or even thinking speed, increasing all of these to unimaginable levels.
