      As far back as she can remember, Jihye has always known about her demigod status; in fact, it might have been one of the first words she learned. Her father is a very open and kind-hearted man, and wanted his daughter to embrace and know everything about herself no matter what. She wasn't raised sheltered, and has always understood to some degree that she was different from the brother she grew up playing with. Her father remarried when she was little, too young to remember the wedding, but she treats her stepmother as if she was her biological blood, as well as her brother. While she's never felt ashamed of her status of a demigod, she has kept pretty quiet about the entire ordeal around her friends because she doesn't like to make a big deal out of it. It's not as if she's hiding it, but she doesn't bring it up unless someone asks first, preferring to ignore that she's any different than anyone else because she's not a fan of dramatics and sticking out.
     She only ever met her mother once, when she was sixteen years old. The experience wasn't pleasant, the goddess only appearing in a time of distress and offering words of sorrow that made Jihye angry. She didn't understand how Akhlys could just show up after not being a part of her life for so long and have the nerve to act like she was sad and upset about it (she was too angry at the time to remember that her mother was the goddess of misery, after all). Jihye had made it very clear that she wasn't interested in speaking to or knowing about her mother and that she was perfectly fine with the life she had, and that was it. She hasn't heard from Akhlys since she said those words, but sometimes she can feel that the goddess resents her in some way or another. She doesn't really care, but somewhere deep down something tells her she should.

      Adaptable by nature, Jihye has quick wits and can handle an unexpected situation better than anyone would have thought; she's reliable in that sense because she'll always be the first to jump forward and deal with something thrown at the group without thinking about the consequences or what might happen. She's brave in the way she does what she has to without worrying or focusing on what could go wrong - if it needs to get done, she'll do anything in her power to get it done and freak out about it afterwards. That's one of her fatal flaws - she puts on a front as if she doesn't care while bottling her emotions up inside and having to deal with them later when she might not be able to handle it. Jihye's never been the best at confronting or dealing with her emotions in the first place, feeling uncomfortable when forced to do so, and hates having to tell others how she's feeling more than anything in the world. She deals with almost everything in anger, usually even turning her tears into hurtful words that end up hurting her more than the person she's dealing with, and her misery often comes back to bite her later when the damage is done.
      She's often described as independent, always willing to do everything on her own and even preferring it that way most of the time - she thinks people have the biggest heads ever, and her own temper flares whenever she's forced to work in a group with them. She hates being told what to do as well as not being heard out, and would rather just work on her own than have to deal with whatever nonsense other humans bring with their interactions.
      While she may be a bit of a fierce, intimidating girl, Jihye can be quite charismatic and charming in her own quirky way. She may be sarcastic and even rude, but the smile she throws along with it can draw you in and lessen the blow of her words by the tiniest fraction. She lives for a challenge, always up for a fight or a bit of competition to show who's best, but if she loses she can be a good sport about it; however, she can quickly get personal if you do, taking things too far with her quick temper and harsh attitude. Though she's quick to rile up, she also quick to console, and the other members of Mystik often tease that she's just like an angry chihuahua most of the time.
      When she grows close to someone, Jihye is quick to become overprotective of them, not clingy but silently hovering in the back and quick to defend if she feels like she has to - that's one good thing about her, she's as loyal as they come and will do whatever you need her to if she trusts you. Sadly, she doesn't trust easily, and she loses that trust much easier.

      After moving back to South Korea, Jihye really had no idea where she wanted to go with her life. Her brother was already successful, working hard to chase a dream he'd had since they were young, but she had nothing she really cared about doing. Only after seeing groups like SHINee and Kara on tv did she think to herself that she'd be interested in being an idol as a career, and began working towards it after speaking to her family about it. She practiced dance more than anything, seeming to pick it up faster than any other skill, and almost ruined her vocal chords by singing so much in hopes of becoming better at it. Although the television show had already begun airing, she still tried her best to become an idol and not stress over it too much in hopes of it not happening to her (what great luck she has).

» | style of dance: Modern dance is something Jihye has really come to love after exploring and trying out many different styles. She likes the fluid grace she can put into her steps to match the beat of a song, and the power she can throw around to give meaning. » | other talents: I think Jihye would be really good at freestyling on the spot; she holds her emotions inside so much that she'd easily be able to put them into dance or let her body express them for her.

» | how they act on stage: On stage, Jihye gives off a subtle charisma that isn't flashy but eye-catching. She's usually straight-faced, maybe a smirk if she's in a particularly good mood, and her eyes are always trying to find the camera and draw you in.

» | how they act off stage and off camera: Much the same as her on camera persona, Jihye appears to not care about much of anything and can come off as a little bitchy by how annoyed she gets by everything, but sometimes she just can't contain her excitement and plays with the rest of her members like a child. » | fanservice: Though she isn't the biggest fan of showing emotions, Jihye does have a huge soft spot for the fans of Mystik. She's likes blowing kisses to them the most, and when she catches the eye of a fan's camera she usually makes sure to do something memorable for that person to capture.

         Since she didn't grow up having a natural talent and wanting to be a singer, Jihye had to work extra hard to catch up to the other trainees who were already naturally talented. She spent many days locked in a room practicing when others were having breaks, and didn't make many friends during her years training due to her hard-to-know personality and lack of free time. She still had to finish high school, and on top of her singing, dance, and lessons on just how to be an idol she didn't have a lot of free time, leaving her quite lonely. She never got good marks on their assessments, and all the others knew it, making her somewhat resent them just because they knew how bad she was. She was nicknamed "Misery" because of both her godly parent and how much of an unhappy person she was, making her despise the nickname for both reasons. She shut them up quick enough, but the name is still something that's quick to rile her up and make her want to fight.

       - 7/10 Toxikinesis; since Jihye has always known what she was, she's had a bit of time to try out and experiment with the powers she has. Toxikinesis was the more dangerous of the two, and she had more than a few incidents and close calls with it when she was young and out of control, so she would often sit down with her grandmother or father and practice for hours on end to learn to both wield and control it.
       - 4/10 Emotion manipulation; this power Jihye doesn't like to use and feels a bit disgusted even thinking about it. She doesn't want to control anything in another person's possession, especially their emotions and how they feel, so she stays away from the power and has barely even tampered with it beyond learning to control it. She'll only ever use it if she absolutely needs to. There's nothing she can do about sensing others emotions, but she'll ignore whatever they're feeling and pretend as if she doesn't notice.

       - In Canada, she took a basic self defense class that taught lessons on how to break out of peoples holds and disable them long enough to escape, but that was the extent of her knowledge.
       - During her trainee years, she chose to learn basic knife skills due to the knowledge of Sacrificial Lamb adn the company stressing over it's importance. She's no expert, and most of it was practiced in her room with stuffed animals and bedposts, but a little knowledge on throwing knives and stabbing people is better than none, right?

       - Being the person that she is, Jihye kept a facade of not caring or nonchalance around her members, but internally was very frightened by the reality of it. She's still freaking out over it, and some nights she doesn't get a lot of sleep because she's too busy worried about it, but in public and around the others she acts as normal as possible.

» | how would your character react to killing someone? what if s/he was close to that person? what if s/he had to do it to survive or to save someone they are close with?
       - Jihye would probably go emotionless if she ever had to kill someone, trying not to feel anything until after she was done with it. She'd feel cold all over, but would probably go into some kind of emotional shock where she doesn't process that she's killed someone until a while later (longer or sooner depending on how close to the person she was). If she had to do it to save someone she was close to, she'd probably feel less guilty about it because she would feel as if it was necessary to do so instead of just cold-blooded murder.

» | how would your character react to watching someone die? what if s/he was close to that person?
        - It would depend on how close she was to the person that died. If she wasn't close to them, she'd feel a bit guilty but would continue on because she knows she has to, not really affected. If she was really close to the person or felt she had a responsibility to look after them and they died she might not be able to contain it. If they were super close she'd probably break down and not be able to continue for a while, not knowing what to do and blaming herself but ultimately knowing that she has to keep moving and grieve later. She'd probably blame herself no matter who it was, going over it again and again in her head and thinking of ways she could have possible prevented them from dying.

» | would your character sabotage someone else? what if it was to save someone s/he is close to? how would s/he react if that caused the person’s death?
        - If it was needed or she had to, she definitely would. When it's serious, Jihye can get a very stoic and business-like attitude that makes her handle the things that need to be done without thinking about the moral standpoints of them. In her rational mind, she doesn't agree with sabotage at all, but if she needed to do so to keep herself or those close to her alive then she wouldn't think twice about it. If something went wrong and it caused the person's death, I don't think she'd ever forgive herself for it no matter who told her otherwise. She'd always tell herself in her mind that she's the reason they're dead and would think badly of herself, going completely emotionless in most cases and trying to hold it all in.
