Alexithymiaa: -Steph had gone into the office to take a phone call from the label, pacing about in normal phone call fashion as she listened to the instructions for their upcoming show and interview. She was unable to battle back the smile from her face, finally ending the call and practically skipping out of the office and into the kitchen.-
Covet: Felix had been outside with his Dad while Steph had been on her call. Benji was trying to teach him some things about cars after they had dinner, but it wasn't going all that well. // Benji finally sat back, " Felix... I feel like I need to fess up to something that's happened over the weekend." He said with a bit of a guilty shrug.
Alexithymiaa: -She clutched her phone in her hand as she glanced around the living room, walking over to the front window and seeing them outside still. Pulling open the front door, she stepped out onto the porch, wrapping her arms around herself and totally just interrupting Benji. "Hey! Do you have a sec?"-
Covet: Felix had looked up at his Dad then was about to answer when Steph interupted them. "Yeah, what's up Red?" He asked looking over at her, "One sec.. you can tell me in a minute she was talking with the label." He said. // Benji pursed his lips then nodded, "Sure, it can wait a little longer."
Alexithymiaa: -She skipped down off the porch and over to them, clearly excited. "So that radio station that was playing our song? They reached out to the label to ask if we would play a show they could broadcast LIVE, exclusively with them. AND they asked if we would preview a new song during the broadcast AND they want to do an interview afterwards. How insane is that?" She asked excitedly, talking a mile a minute.-
Covet: "Wait really? That's awesome Red." he said to her wrapping his good arm around her. "Congrats, on moving up in the world, one more step." He told her. // Benji smiled and nodded, "I agree with him, that's fantastic news, Steph."
Alexithymiaa: "Thanks!" She practically yelled, leaning into Felix with a smile spread across her face. "April second. It's a Tuesday. Mark your calendars because you definitely have to be there." She spoke while pointing. "I feel like we need to celebrate or something. Will you have a little piece of chocolate with me?" She asked, but didnt really wait for a response before letting go of Felix and starting to walk backwards toward the house. "I'll get it!" She said before spinning around and racing back into the house to leave them alone again.-
Covet: "Yeah, chocolate sounds great." He said with a laugh watching her, then looked back at Benji. "Tuesday, mark your calendar... does anyone even use calendars anymore?" He asked. "Like the ones hanging on the wall."// "I don't know... but can I go back to my confession now..." Benji asked looking at Felix.
Alexithymiaa: -She rummaged through the cabinet in search of some of Felix's stash because the only chocolate she buys is chocolate chips for baking. Pulling out a regular Hershey bar, she broke off three tiny squares, setting them down on a napkin before getting out a bag to put the rest in. Taking her sweet ass time.-
Covet: "Jeez, you make it sound like it's something serious." Felix said, "But yeah, go for it." He said to his Dad. // "It kind of is." He said resting his hand on the back of his neck. "So after the whole dog thing last week... Cadence was really grateful about getting Titus back and... well she might have been more grateful than I expected...and well, things just kind of happened."
Alexithymiaa: -She ran for the front door with the napkin of chocolate squares in her hand, stepping outside and jogging over to them, her grin still spread across her face as she held the chocolate up. "I got the chocolate." She glanced at Benji and his serious face before looking to Felix. "Not going to lie... kind of expected at least a little bit more excitement about this."-
Covet: "What kind of things?" Felix asked immediately, crossing his arms. He looked over at Steph, holding his hand out for the chocolate. // "Right.. well we're two consenting adults, and she was looking for some sort of companionship and well.. I didn't exactly want to deny her and crush her spirits." He said then looked at Steph, giving her a smile, "Oh I'm still really happy for you and excited."
Alexithymiaa: -She furrowed her brows, slowly lowering her hand with the chocolate in it, not actually distributing any of the pieces. "What are you talking about?"-
Covet: Felix groaned and shoved the chocolate in his mouth, talking around it. "Benji and Cadence hooked up. Your brother was right." He ran his face over his hand and paced about. // "Yeah.. what he said. I promise it wasn't anything shady or weird or coerced. Just.. two lonely souls seeking company."
Alexithymiaa: "What?" She asked quickly, staring at Benji. "The point really isn't if you guys are two consenting adults... it was the relation and how you even knew each other in the first place that was the issue. And after I specifically asked her not to." She closed her hand around the napkin of chocolate, eliminating any possibility of Benji getting his square.-
Covet: "Nothing weird?Yeah there is, that's my girlfriend's best friend. I mean, I can't exactly fault you for being lonely or whatever, but you could have controlled yourselves. Made the choice not to." Felix grumbled. // "She said that, but she said that she needed that more..." Benji said. "I know it was dumb, I know the connection and I'm sorry. It was a moment of passion."
Alexithymiaa: "The entire population of Portland and neither of them could find anyone else to hook up with." She said directly to Felix, not even looking at Benji at this point. She was more frustrated with Cadence in the moment since she was the one she'd talked to and asked NOT to do this, but Benji was the one standing here. "Don't you understand that if you're going to try to play the dad card, that it's more than just doing things for him? It's not doing things for him, just as much."-
CovetCovet : "Steph..." Felix started. // Benji frowned, " I get that it's not exactly desirable for you, but what exactly is Cadence and I having a fling doing to anyone else. She was said, wanting comfort and I gave it to her. She was thankful for it, at the very least. And I left afterwords, didn't stay for breakfast."
Alexithymiaa: "No, this is ridiculous. How hard is it to follow the ONE thing?" She asked Felix harshly, crossing her arms over her chest. "Not desirable? Really? Because what happens when you're done with her? Or she's done with you? At the end of the day she's still my best friend and my family, and you're still his. Out of respect for your son, it was your job to make sure both families could be in the same room together. But fuck that, because it was a moment of passion, right? Nothing else matters."-
Covet: Felix just let Steph rant because he knew better than to interupt her. // Benji sighed, "It wasn't just a dumb action of a young idiot, I'm an adult, and we both were sober, so we talked about it before we did anything. She understands that it won't ever be anything serious, and requested as much. I'm at least respecting that much. The only people who seem to be awkward looking about it is you two. But clearly I've set you off about it, but at least I was honest. I think I've overstayed my welcome tonight." He said heading for the door of his vehicle.
Alexithymiaa: "Adult and calculated or not, it was still a dumb action. Along with inconsiderate, disrespectful, and careless. But yes, it's all on us. It's our problem." She whirled around to look at Felix, shaking her head. "I can't believe she did this. I asked her not to. I practically begged her not to."-
CovetCovet : "Well, I'm making it not your problem. Goodnight." Benji said as he went about driving off, leaving them. // Felix sighed, and rubbed his head, putting an arm around Steph. "He's gone... and it's not the end of the world. It's just.. something that happened." He said trying to be calm about it.
Alexithymiaa: "There's no way that you can possibly think this isn't going to happen again..." She started, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "I don't understand the lack of self restraint. I asked her not to. It was a pretty simple request." She said as her fingers slid over the screen. "And what happens when they're done with each other? We have to choose between not inviitng one of them, or sitting in a room full of awkwardness? That's not fair."-
Covet: "You heard them, they talked about it. Niether of them are looking for anything serious. Maybe if we don't bring too much attention to it, it will just fizzle out." Felix said urging her inside as she texted on her phone. "Let them deal with that. That's their problem, we'll act like nothing is going on, and nobody will be none the wiser."
Alexithymiaa: "It's going to fizzle out. And then it's just going to be shitty situations of avoiding each other so shit isnt weird and we're the only ones that end up suffering from that. And what happens when your dad doesn't want to come around as much anymore because he doesnt want to run into Cadence? That's not fair to you." She said as she walked inside, texting furiously like a keyboard warrior.-
Covet: "Um.. I don't intend to give him that option. He either shows up because we want him there, or he doesn't and he can fuck off out of my life the way he came in." Felix said. "You're kind of being dramatic over something that just seems to be sex, nobody is suffering. We're annoyed , upset, but suffering?"

Alexithymiaa: (Bro shes perioding too. Hence the insane hyper excitement and then the instant overdramatic freak out)
Alexithymiaa: "Overdramatic?" She repeated in more of a high pitched voice than was probably necessary, but definitely one that meant BUSINESS. "Do not tell me I'm being overdramatic when I specifically asked her not to do this and she went and did it anyway." She pointed her finger at his face, which you're a dumbass because now the anger is being displaced onto you. Dumb.-
Covet: "Okay but what is being angry about it going to do? Except raise your blood pressure..." He said with a mumble.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't care!" She yelled, throwing her hands up into the air as she stormed off into the kitchen, pulling the fridge open with a quick jerk as she stared into it, breathing heavily. "What if they end up hating each other and they refuse to be in the same room together and we can't have them both at our wedding?" She asked, beginning to sniffle.-
Covet: "And what if they don't? And everything is perfectly fine? I can throw out what ifs with the best of them, if you want to start that game." He said to her. "I doubt it would keep Cadence from your wedding if he was there, she's just about as stubborn as you are."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not stubborn!" She yelled back at him, closing the fridge and turning back around to look at him as she sniffled some more, beginning to babble. "But you dont know that. You don't know what's going to happen and it's better to avoid it altogether than to create a potentially awful situation."-
Covet: "And you know that what you're saying will?" Felix asked her. "If I've learned anything from dating a willful women, telling her she can't do something only makes her do it that much quicker and harder." he said putting his hands up.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh so now I'm willfull?" She asked with a roll of her eyes, stomping her way out of the kitchen and into the living room, dropping down onto the couch and crossing her arms over her chest to pout and pretend she wasnt being a huge pain in the ass.-
Covet: "It's not always a bad thing." He said with his arms up in the air. "I'm just saying, maybe... maybe... you're taking this more personal than you need to. If anyone should be acting like you, it's me, but I'm cool as a cucumber. So just breathe and relax."
Alexithymiaa: "Why ARENT you mad? You said the same thing when I first told you about this. So now it's just me being overdramatic and unreasonable and crazy and a bitch and you're the cool one?" She asked, throwing out some extra adjectives to put words in his mouth some more.-
Covet: "Because... I realize that he might be a little right... Cadence hasn't even reached out lately... aside from the issue with Titus. And We've been busy worrying about our own stuff. At least someone was looking out for her. And I have to at least try to have some faith in Benji that he's going about this in the right way."
Alexithymiaa: "You think he's RIGHT?" She gawked at him, throwing her hands up. "Fine, whatever. I'm wrong, everyone else is right. I don't care anymore." She leaned over to pick up Hugo from the couch, pulling him over into her lap to forcibly pet him despite his desperate attempt to get away.-
Covet: "I think he might be right that Cadence needed someone." Felix said with a groan. "Nevermind. You're not going to see it clearly with how upset you are anyways right now." He said then started to walk off towards the office.
Alexithymiaa: "She could have needed ANYONE else!" She yelled at him as he started to walk away, letting Hugo jump off her lap to run after Felix since he was clearly the safe option right now. "I said I don't care!" She spouted, slouching back onto the couch. Clearly still caring.-
Covet: Felix sat down at his desk and put his headphones on turning up his music to do some homework stuffs to give Steph some space to cool off.
