Ragnorra Session 20

Start: 8 pm, thursday, Kythorn 31, 1396

The lot of them set off on the road to Suzail. Omen was mentally commanded to follow along.

After many hours, they found the path they previously spotted on the side of the road leading southwest through the King's Forest, with the sign listed as "Traveler's Inn". It bore fresh footprints. The party decided not to investigate at this time.

Continuing down the road for quite some time until they needed to rest, on the edge of the forest, the party came upon an immense reinforced wagon. Cassius hailed it down and after some conversation with the mercenary guard, determined it was provisions of food and water from house Darstan, without the men they had indicated were coming.

Dorn blessed the provisions, removing the curse it held, which Ronja determined was present. The mercenaries did not seem to mind. They seemed quite oblivious to the impending disaster, or the machinations of a noble house so distant to their immediate concerns.

Cassius told the men not to trust unknown sources of water, and danced for them. The men loved the dance, complimented him, and gave him what to him, amounted as a pittance.

They rested with the mercenaries on good terms, and passed the night.

They headed the rest of the way to Suzail.

Once they were in Suzail, Cassius spoke to Isadora and strategized with her on where she should go. They decided on Alagarond, and he gave her 100 gold and Vix gave her a slip of paper to give to a mage if she were in trouble, as insurance. Isadora seemed genuinely grateful for this gesture, and departed on good terms, seeming as lost as always.

The group of them acquired a few items from the Ring of Coins, a shop in Suzail. Cassius also acquired a membership card which gave him a discount on future purchases.

They proceeded to identify many of the magic items in their possession which had since eluded them.

Heading to the temple of Gond, Dorn introduced them to a Gondar Alchemist named Humphrey. Vix gave him the notes on the residue she had found in the church. After some time had passed, he identified them as dream larva pupae. He was shocked at this information, as were those who understood the pronouncement.

The lot of them agreed to meet back after a fortnight had passed.
