  1. Aspects of the mod

  4. The Bloodwines
  5. ##################
  6.
  7. Probably the most hated faction in Carnage, the Bloodwines are a religous cult that worship Ramaraunt, god of blood and coin. The cult originated in the Arch of Nopr, and has become popular throughout heim amongst outlaws. The main teaching of Ramaraunt,
  8. is that the weak should pay the strong, or die. Because of this, bloodwines are known to roam around in large bands, large enough to take on traveling peasants, but small enough to elude most larger parties led my lords. In the back streets of many towns, it
  9. is possible to find a bloodwine faction member you can converse with, and possibly recieve quests from or trade for special bloodwine gear. Bloodwine quests range from assasinations to hunting down serfs to thievery. If you become very loyal to the bloodwine faction,
  10. it will become possible for you to get bloodwine recruits, which have their own unique troop tree. At the same time, a Bloodwine is an enemy of every realm, and you will be hunted down for your crimes. It is possible, if the player gets strong enough as a bloodwine,
  11. to capture castles and towns for the cult. In this case, the player can then tax the towns much more than any lord normally can, though it will hurt the economy of the captured lands dramatically.
  12.
  13. ##################
  14. The Templars
  15. ##################
  16.
  17. These holy knights of makerism will not fight for a lord, but instead devote their lives hunting down heratics. Though the templars aren't as popular as they were back in the early days of Makerism when the lands were much more wild, they spend quite a bit of time
  18. in Carnage attempting to hunt down the bloodwines.
  19.
  20. ##################
  21. The Keepers
  22. ##################
  23.
  24. The Keepers are an ancient and secretive order, that not many know even exists. The order was founded right after humanity arrived in Salior, and it was the order's job to protect the portal to the old world, and make sure it remains closed to prevent the evil powers
  25. from the other side from getting through. If the player chooses to enable story mode, the keepers will fail in doing this, and the portal will open, causing the realm to be invaded by dark forces that use evil magicks. Otherwise, the keeper knights wont even be
  26. seen once on a playthrough.
  27.
  28. ##################
  29. Back Alleys of Towns
  30. ##################
  31.
  32. Every town on the map has a back alley, where the player can go to do questionable activities, like hire assasins or trade illegal substances. Dealing with people in this area is dangerous. For instance, when a player enters a town with an illegal substance, there
  33. is a small chance the player will be caught. If the player cannot bribe the guards to leave him be, the player can then be imprisioned. Even if the player manages to fight his way out, a bounty will be placed on the player's head, so other parties around the map will
  34. hunt the player down.
  35.
  36. ##################
  37. Poaching
  38. ##################
  39.
  40. For everyone besides nobility, hunting is illegal and is considered "poaching". It is possible for the player to go hunting, which triggers a timer. After the timer goes down, the player is faced with wild animals to kill for meat and hides. During the duration
  41. of the hunting time, the player is frozen in place on the map, and may be attacked by other parties. If the player is not allowed to hunt, parties might confront the player for poaching and attempt to take the player into custody. Poached meat is treated as
  42. an illegal substance, and has to be snuck into towns to sell. Players can see other parties poaching from time to time, and the player can even attack poachers.
  43.
  44. ##################
  45. Training
  46. ##################
  47.
  48. If the player owns a castle, town, or village, the player can train soldiers on their property rather quickly, so they don't have to start out with recruits in their army every time they die.
  49.
  50. ##################
  51. The Makerists
  52. ##################
  53.
  54. Makerism is the main religion of Carnage, so there are many monestaries scattered throughout the land. At these places, the player can trade with the local monks or nuns, or the player can even raid them, though doing this lowers player honor significantly and will
  55. make them enemies of every kingdom.
  56.
  57. ##################
  58. Sword Sisters
  59. ##################
  60.
  61. The Sword Sisters are looked down upon by most noble lords, though they are still a force to be reckoned with. The sword sisters are a mercenary organization, mostly composed of women, that do bounty hunting work for the most part.
