Skyrim Mod Start Guide

First, you will need Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE). Download SKSE here http://skse.silverlock.org/ . You will now need to start Skyrim with skse_launcher.exe in order for SKSE, and mods that require it, to work.

Next, get BOSS here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6 to keep your mods properly "load-ordered", to improve performance and reduce CTDs due to improper mod load order.

Then, to easily install most of these mods - get the Nexus Mod Manager http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager/ . With NMM, you can download mods with a click of a button from the Skyrim Nexus website, then install/uninstall mods with the NMM program, as well as configure your load order.

Some excellent mods that don't alter gameplay, but improve the game GUI.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863 (SkyUI) (I personally play without this, but its pretty nice if you don't mind the extra step of running Skyrim Script Extender)

IMPORTANT::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

1.	Install your mods with NMM, then after that run BOSS to sort the mods. Remember to start Skyrim through Skyrim Script Extender or SkyUI will not work properly. If you are not using SkyUI, run it however you like.

2.	Have fun, everything is optional but you should probably ask me if your not sure of something.

3.	These mods don't affect the actual game at all aside from fixing bugs and making the menus less ugly. If you want better graphics or gameplay you can ask me or Google it.

4.	Don't touch the chickens. The people go fucking nuts if you do.

5.	Magic is not bad for a late or early game strategy. Restoration is nice for healing after or during a battle.

6.	Try to level combat skills the most. Some enemies level up with you, if you level non-combat skills then you become weaker because combat skills are all the enemy focuses on.

7.	Don't panic at the start or worry about picking sides. The popular side is the Imperials, but keep in mind they did just try to execute you. Ask me if you have any questions have background on the game.
