Hey team,
Kleiman is giving a lecture to us at CUSP, and mentioned that Chicago's
human service mapping was an "utter failure" - lol! I definitely don't
remember him mentioning the "failure" part yesterday.

Wanted to share that, and also kick off the conversation about constructing
our final scope of work. Here's the description again, with my thoughts /
comments

   -

   *Core work assignment. *

I think we have this one - we just need to tighten up our language!

   -

   *Research plan including resources you plan to access (both desk
   research and calls you would like to make)*

Again, I think we have this - maybe for now, we just specify Erika as
someone we definitely want to call... and we're doing desk research to
figure out who else we want to contact in the Greenwich Village!

Also, Greg Bloom definitely seems worth talking to. I wonder if Erika is in
touch with him, as well. The Open Referral project
<https://openreferral.org/author/gbloom/> sounds exactly like one of the
components of ReferNYC...

   *Division of labor*

We need to write something down here. Of course, very tentative.

   -

   *Areas you anticipate you may need help and/or specifics requests for
   assistance from me (e.g. of the assignment demands assessing best practices
   from Europe you may want to ask me for help identifying good contacts of
   reports from Europe).*

Potentially getting in touch with nonprofits? Not sure how much we need to
write here, at this point.


I'm also happy to compile a Google Doc tomorrow AM -- I've got something
due this evening, but felt compelled to send this out since I'm in a
lecture with Kleiman right now! :)
