- This suit was more like a suit of armor. Its black material resembled metal plates that had been riveted together, like the hull of a ship. But it wasn’t stiff like iron or steel. It was flexible, so that Bruce could still move in it, executing the martial arts moves he’d mastered over the years. The suit was made out of experimental, high-tech material unavailable to commercial manufacturers. Designed to fit Bruce’s body perfectly, it hung on an old form once used by a professional tailor.
- After stopping the mugger, Bruce had written his thoughts down in a notebook:
- I’ll take on the city’s criminals alone so I won’t put anyone else at risk. I’ll need a disguise. I’ll have to hide my face to keep people from recognizing me. A mask? And I’ll need protection, like a bulletproof vest that covers my whole body. Made out of strong material—something highly durable. But it’ll have to be flexible, so I can fight while I’m wearing it.
