  1. 1. Respect your fellow RPer; no god-modding, power-gaming, meta-gaming, or senseless IC actions
  2. (i.e. outright killing another person's character inexplicably, or dictating actions).
  3.
  4. 2. Everyone who initially joins the chat will have no role, and will be unable to do anything except for read messages currently being sent. This is meant to prevent trolling.
  5.
  6. New people who join the chat will be set to the Guest role, which has slightly limited permissions but does allow viewing of message history, sending and receiving messages, and nickname changes. After the first time you submit a biography entry and have it approved, a mod or admin will set you to having the Member role, which gives full privileges.
  7.
  8. 3. Refrain from disrupting the chat, either IC or OOCly with spamming, trolling, flame-baiting or the like. Take any personal issues with a given individual to Personal Messages (PMs).
  9.
  10. If you wish to relay a message to a roleplayer while they're roleplaying in the channel, please use (( brackets )) to indicate that you are not currently talking as a character, not part of the setting or part of the roleplaying at hand.
  11.
  12. 4. Maintain all public roleplay to a minimum of a PG-13 rating; all explicit roleplaying, whether sexual or overtly violent (vivid descriptions of blood and guts) must be done in private. Cursing is allowed; but refrain from abusing it or using derogatory slurs.
  13.
  14. 5. Maintain communication to other people involving settings, plots, or character development that you are doing in the community. Try to maintain coordination with others, and try to make sure you participate in planned RP events that involve your presence. Failure to do so is frowned upon in the community.
  15.
  16. If an emergency comes up, and you cannot participate in a planned RP session, simply relay a message to an mod or a community member, and they will make sure that the reason is known. There will be no negative repercussions for this; we understand that real life is important.
  17.
  18. 6. Rule enforcement is carried out by staff members, mods and/or the admin. If there is a dispute between two roleplayers, a disruption in one or more channels, or something that requires attention, feel free to PM staff members in the server. If a situation occurs that is not covered by these rules, staff reserve the right to deal with it as they see fit.
  19.
  20. * If there is a staff member who is acting abusive in the channel, feel free to report them to the admin in order to bring the behavior in question into attention.
  21.
  22. 7. All characters not intended to be a one-off or a joke character must have an APPROVED biography entry in the #ooc_biographies channel. If you're wanting to play a gimmick character for humorous reasons, just ask in the OOC_chat channel if it would be okay to play them or if it would interrupt a scene going on. If everyone involved in the current scene is fine with it, you can definitely go ahead. Be sensible, though: Wanting to play President Trump or Jesus Christ probably won't go over well.

  30. LIST OF CURRENT STAFF MEMBERS:
  31.
  32. Administrator (Admin):
  33.
  34. The role of the administrator is to maintain the community as a whole, set rules and guidelines, and make final decisions when conflicts occur. If for any reason you feel uncomfortable bringing up a problem with a moderator, you can always escalate to talking to an admin.
  35.
  36. `JessAlias`

Feel free to message her with any questions, character ideas, or setting help you might need. There's no such thing as a wrong question.
  39.
  40. Moderator (Mod):
  41.
  42. Moderators enforce rules under current policy, resolve disputes, set roles, and answer questions regarding the setting or characters. They are the front line with preventing trolls from taking over the server and helping new members settle in. Never be afraid to talk to a moderator. They're here to help you.
  43.

  49.
  50. `WARNING SYSTEM`
  51.
  52. This is a general system the staff use on how to deal with people. Exceptions can occur, and everything is considered on a case by case basis. If a mod takes an action you object to, feel free to appeal the decision to the admin.
  53.
  54. Warning System:
  55.
  56. * 1st Warning: Verbal.
  57. * 2nd Warning: Kick.
