  5. Citizens can volunteer to help disseminate information about threats due to a bioterrorism attack, spreading awareness among the public.
  6. Healthcare professionals need to know and stay updated on the latest findings and developments related to bioterrorism.
  7. Healthcare workers need to remain informed of potential biohazard threats and learn how to treat infected people. Healthcare workers should also be prepared to deal with a situation of mass infections or an epidemic by maintaining sufficient space and resources in emergency wards as well as proper isolation facilities (areas to quarantine infected people in order to control the spread of the infection).
  8. Healthcare facilities should outfit their personnel with the required equipment and gear to contain and deal with an epidemic.
  9. Healthcare facilities should provide their personnel with a set of policies to follow in case of an epidemic to ensure swift and effective treatment.
