  1. >"Hey Anon!"
  2. >Look over to see a brightly haired girl running over to you.
  3. "Hey Dash."
  4. >"Was that the girl you we're talking about?"
  5. >She points over to Fluttershy heading inside the school.
  6. "Yup. That's her."
  7. >"Dude, she's a little... weird."
  8. >You strengthen your voice for what you're about to say.
  9. "She's not. She's alright, once you take the time to know her."
  10. >Once you were done, you walked to the double doors and entered the school.
  11. >"Okey then. Just make sure she's alright to hang out with us."
  12. "Don't worry. As long that she's with me, everything will be fine."
  13. >"Huh, nice to know that you guys are having a thing."
  14. >Why the fuck does everyone keep saying that?
  15. "No. We don't. We're just friends and that's all."
  16. >Head down the hallway and turn left to get to your class.
  17. >"Sure. I'll believe it. Anyway, what's her name?"
  18. >You snicker a little, having a wild thought.
  19. >"What's so funny?"
  20. "It's just that I want her to meet up with new people by herself. So, I'm letting the introduction go on when you guys meet her."
  21. >"Aww come on! You can't even tell me her name?"
  22. "Nope, you'll just have to wait and talk to her yourself."
  23. >Dash sighs in disbelief.
  24. >"Alright then, but she better be ready."
  25. >Both of you slowly approach the door that leads into the first class of the day.
  26. >"I'll talk to you later, my class is at the other side of the school."
  27. >And she runs off, waiving back while sprinting down the hallway.
  28. >She even makes some good swerve and passes through the crowds with ease.
  29. >Whoa, Dash would make a great player or athlete.
  30. >Open the door to see everyone getting settled.
  31. >As they do, something stands out.
  32.
  33. >See a familiar girl, wearing a green dress and light pink hair, taking a seat right beside yours.
  34. >Is that... naw, it couldn't be.
  35. >Walk closer to your seat and see that it IS her!
  36. >How did she know about this class?
  37. >Better question is, how did she changed it so fast.
  38. >She starts to take out a pencil and a set of papers.
  39. >Sit down and do the same action.
  40. >Once done, look over to see that she's awkwardly smiling.
  41. >Still, it's good enough to be on the cuteness scale.
  42. >Shes about to say something, until being interrupted by the bell
  43. >'Alright class, today is partner day. Get your partner and do the following assignment on the board. What isn't done, is your homework for the weekend."
  44. >Augh, fuck this day.
  45. >You dread this for certain reasons.
  46. >One, the assignment is long.
  47. >Shit takes teamwork to split the assignment in bits and have that done.
  48. >Two, no matter how easy this assignment is, you can never seem to finish this.
  49. >The best record that you've done was that you've completed a little over half on this.
  50. >Finally, and most importantly, you don't have a partner.
  51. >Rule is that it must be someone to you left or right side.
  52. >Both seats were always empty ever since that you came in class.
  53. >Not only that it's because of you, but it's the front row.
  54. >Double collateral right there.
  55. >Guess where that leaves you now.
  56. >"R-ready... partner."
  57. >That last part was more of a whisper.
  58. >But, best to take advantage of this situation.
  59. "Yeah. But we do the work first, alright?"
  60. >She nods with a smile.
  61. >And thus, you both begin the hefty task.
  62.
  63. >30 minutes pass by and you're... done?
  64. >Usually, partner day happens so often in this class.
  65. >And this is a new record but a long shot.
  66. >Only about 10 minutes left in class.
  67. >You guess now is fine to talk.
  68. "Wow... we're done. This is great."
  69. >"Mmmhmm."
  70. >That ended pretty quickly.
  71. >There is the matter of why shes here.
  72. >Only, that is a tricky one.
  73. >It could be pretty awkward in many ways.
  74. >Fuck it, better to have something to talk about, rather than have awkward silence.
  75. "Fluttershy, why are you here? How did you even know that I have this class?"
  76. >Her face showed of immense fear and distressed.
  77. >She sighs and grabs her bag.
  78. >Once she was done rummaging around to bring out a folder.
  79. >She slides out a small piece of paper.
  80. >It's a quarter size compared to an actual sheet of paper.
  81. >"T-this was on y-your desk... b-before I... left class yesterday."
  82. >The paper is being demanded to be taken.
  83. >You hesitate, but take it.
  84. >Scan over the basic font on it.
  85. >It's your schedule.
  86. >"I-I'm so sorry, I-"
  87. "What other class?"
  88. >She's a little startled by your interruption.
  89. >She taps her fingernails to each other.
  90. >You don't need to be a psychologist to see that she's on the edge to break.
  91. >"A-Algebra."
  92. >Shit, so much for an easy grade.
  93. "Wh... why?"
  94. >"I... I j-just... want to see a face that can give me comfort as much that I need. I'm sorry."
  95. >It's nice to have a friend in class, but this is too much.
  96. >But, she is your first friend here.
  97. >And you're her first friend in... ever.
  98. >"It's fine... I can switch out after class."
  99. >Just then, the bell rings.
  100. >She gathers her stuff and start to get up.
  101. >"I'll head over to my counselor to take me back into my original classes. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble."
  102. >This isn't right.
  103. >You can't let this go.
  104. "Wait."
  105. >She's taken by surprise by your order.
  106. "You can keep your classes."
  107. >She claps and squees cuter than a baby seal.
  108. >This kind of cuteness should be listed as illegal.
  109. >"I'll see you at break, Anon!"
  110. >And thus, she heads out the door in a joyous skip.
  111. >Such a lovable girl.
  112. >If only everyone wasn't so dense to ignore that.
  113. >Then again, you're already using her.
  114. >For your projects and an easy grade?
  115. >You've reached an all time low.
  116. >This is worse than that time you shit at a Tinging Burrito, and blamed it on their food.
  117. >But that's a story for another time.
  118. >For now, get your shit, and head over to the next class.
  119.
  120. >Head over to Agriculture.
  121. >Why you're taking this?
  122. >Pretty much, it's simple.
  123. >Hard labor = well earned A.
  124. >This is a replacement for not lifting weights.
  125. >Didn't want to be a lazy weakling, so this is your best substitute.
  126. >Grow a few plants, nurture the animals.
  127. >Nature is fascinating.
  128. >Right now, you're just scraping the concrete with a rake, gathering leaves.
  129. >Didn't wanted to get serious today, so something simple.
  130.
  131. >Roughly 10 minutes in class.
  132. >The sidewalk is clear of any debris.
  133. >Now what to-
  134. >"Howdy, Ahnon!"
  135. >Look over to see Applejack, rolling a barrel.
  136. "Hey AJ!"
  137. >"What 'r you doin'?"
  138. "Not much, really."
  139. >She scans you, the rake and the pavement.
  140. >"Huh, ya don't say? Wanna help me move a few things here? I'm really strugglin' with this stuff, and I need the help."
  141. >There's some time to kill, and why not?
  142. "Sure, this raking was a warm up, that's all."
  143. >Let go of the rake, and start to make a pose.
  144. >Flex out your "guns" to show off at Applejack.
  145. >She laughs a little and starts to roll the barrel.
  146. >"That's nice. Now, c'mon. These won't move themselves."
  147.
  148. >Half an hour has passed.
  149. >The barrels we're a bitch, but at least there were a few.
  150. >Now you're carrying a patch of hay on your arms.
  151. >For a while, you think about how the cool kids are lazy and they assume this class is simple.
  152. >Only reason it is easy is that they think they don't have to do shit and pretend they're working.
  153. >Fucking pricks.
  154. >Oh, they're they are.
  155. >On top of the pile of hay that you and Applejack were working on for quite sometime.
  156. >"Why those darn varmints."
  157. >You hate them too, but not as much to cause a scene.
  158. "Woah, easy AJ. Maybe we should just wait for them to leave."
  159. >"Sorry Ahnon, but this is the last straw for me."
  160. >While she's carrying her batch of hay, she walks over and starts talking to them.
  161. >The conversation is mumbled, but you can tell this isn't good.
  162. >One of them who was sitting on the hay gets up.
  163. >Time to think something on the spot here.
  164. >Look over to what you're carrying and have an idea.
  165. >Give a light jog over and interrupt them.
  166. >"Yeah, well why don't you just go, and ride off into the sunset, cowgirl?"
  167. >Just like that, he grabs her hat and puts it on her face.
  168. "Hey there, why don't we just let them stay, AJ?"
  169. >She grabs her hat and sends it back on the top of her head.
  170. >It reveals a stunned face.
  171. >"You've heard your friend here, move along."
  172. >Just like that, he sits back down on the strands of hay.
  173. "Besides, let's make them a little more comfortable."
  174. >You walk over to the green beanie wearing jerkweed is sitting.
  175. >Release the cargo!
  176. >Just like that, he's buried in strands of dry straw.
  177. >He shuffles around and spits out any fragments.
  178. >Look over to Applejack with a left open mouth.
  179. >From what you can tell, it's a combination of shock, happiness, with a spice of "Oh no he didn't!"
  180. >"Buddy, you just made a big mistake."
  181. >Face back to the =cool- guy.
  182. >He's standing up, while picking out what's left in his red jacket.
  183. >You freeze, just as he turns his right hand as a fist.
  184. >He slowly raises it.
  185. >"Hey! What's going on over here?"
  186. >Look over to see the teacher.
  187. >"Uh, n-nothing Miss..."
  188. >Everyone but you and AJ snickers.
  189. >"Miss... Seaman."
  190. >She groans and covers her face with her left hand.
  191. >"Alright, enough of this and leave. I must talk with these two."
  192. >The badass in question and his posse all chant out a dramatic "Ohhhh!"
  193. >"That's enough Norman. Now go, before I start sending you to the principles office."
  194. >"Pssh." Is sounded from him, along with a waive of his arm as he walks off.
  195. >Look over to Applejack.
  196. >She's concerned and afraid of what might happen next.
  197. >"I know that the both of you are just settling to this school, but you should tell me if this happens again. Also, the two of you are the hardest working students, not only in this class, but the entire grade that I've had for 2 weeks now. Don't be surprised if the both of you have an A for this semester, if you keep this up."
  198. >The bell then rings.
  199. >Many of the students stop what they're doing, and run off.
  200. >Miss S sighs and shakes her head.
  201. >"At least they can just clean up this place."
  202. >Look over to AJ.
  203. "We could clean this up."
  204. >Applejack is stunned, but follows on what you just said.
  205. >"The two of you are now becoming my star students. It's a Friday, so I'll let the next class get them. For now, enjoy your break."
  206. >You and the Southerner head back in class and take your backpacks.
  207.
  208. >As you gather your things and exit, someone is running up close behind you.
  209. >"Hold on, Ahnon!"
  210. >Applejack's voice echo's through the hallways.
  211. >Turn around to she her catching up.
  212. >"That was mighty alright back there, yer good in mah book."
  213. "Psh. Not letting that happen to my friend."
  214. >She gives off a hardy chuckle.
  215. >"Hey, I'm meeting with the others, wanna come?"
  216. >You would, but you made a promise to flutters that you would hang out with her.
  217. "I would, but I have to get with a friend."
  218. >"Oh. Hey, what if she could come along with us?"
  219. >It's a not bad idea, but you need to prepare her for friends and this is just too soon.
  220. "Sorry, not yet. Once you all get acquainted, then we can all hang out everyday."
  221. >"Yah sure? Why not today?"
  222. >Rub the back of your neck as the both of you walk down the hallway.
  223. "Just... need to get her a little more ready. She's still nervous. Sorry, just not today."
  224. >She kicks her boot a little while she's walking.
  225. >"Shoot. Well, sure then. I'll see ya later, sugar cube."
  226. >Sugar cube.
  227. >That may take a while on getting used to.
  228. "I'll see ya soon, Applejack."
  229. >She turns around, and heads back deeper into the hallways.
  230. >You're at the front doors of the school.
  231. >Look at the clock on the wall.
  232. >Two minutes have passed by, leaving 8 left in this breaking period.
  233. >Sure hope Flutters isn't too anxious or nervous on the wait.
  234.
  235. >Open the double doors and see the outside is barely inhabited of students.
  236. >Look over to the statue and see one person there, laying against it.
  237. >She has her head tilted down and rubbing her left arm.
  238. >Walk down the sidewalk.
  239. >Just when your close enough to be in earshot, without any effort to yell, you say:
  240. "Hey Flutters."
  241. >She looks up with a flow of water in her eyes.
  242. "Flutter-"
  243. >She grabs you into a bear hug.
  244. >It's more comfortable than a WWE move.
  245. >"It was so horrible! Th-they kept on c-calling me names, a...and they wouldn't stop!"
