Verosika human alter ego

Something that just occurred to me. Since Verosika's human alter ego is evidently famous on Earth...how the fk does the media account for the fact that she's back down in Hell for what is implied to be the majority of the year? Does she have a cover story in place to account for the fact that "famed sx-pop artist Veronika Mayday hasn't been seen publicly in months"?

Probably she dips in and out of "rehab" every year as a cover story,which is pretty standard fare for a celebrity musician, so the media is likely none the wiser.
The State Department on the other hand is probably aware that she's a demon and keeps incredibly close tabs on her at all times when she's Earthside or Stateside.

Would explain why the cops showed up to arrest her and her posse so quickly when there would be no logical reason to assume that a pop musician who sings about fking a whole lot had anything to do with the big ass kaiju that just attacked the beach.

Yeah I bet the US Navy across the eastern seaboard got activated from that incident. It also is interesting that a large collection of hellborn demons immediately give up the face of a SWAT team, could be possible that demons aren't nearly as overpowered as this thread used to think when we only had the pilots to work off of.

Could be. But I mean, bullets still hurt like shit even if you can regen. Those thugs Blitzo was capping in the second episode prove that a simple shot to the chest can still put a basic demon down. Plus, other than Vortex, they're all succubi and incubi, they may not necessarily be especially handy in combat.

Alternatively, they could have known that resisting arrest by a bunch of cops who are actually high level government operatives in disguise would just draw even more unwanted attention to them and their fuckery. The way they all reacted to "get ready to suck a lot of pig dick" made it seem like this sort of thing happens to them regularly and they weren't that surprised that they were about to get dragged into some paranormal monitoring agency's office and given a dressing down.

Plot twist: Verosika keeps getting sent to rehab by a human agency on earth that's sick of all the bullsht that her reckless beelzejuice use keeps causing

Afaik it was stated only 'sinners' are immortal to dying outside of being struck by angelic weapons, its never been stated that hellborn entities share the same resistance.

Of course no one has mentioned this 'immunity to death' in the show for sinners so as far as the average viewer is concerned death by gun or death by angel is just death, with no reason to believe that some ordinary gun or bludgeoning won't actually kill a sinner.

Its never been stated or clearly shown how death works for hellborn. We do see Blitzo getting shot in the arm, and that while it does not seem to cause him significant harm (aside from rendering him unable to use the arm), he still required a sling for it after the fact, which at least shows he can't quickly heal injuries.

So as far as we know, if the Police just shot Verosika and her posse, they'd have just died.

That made me think: If a demon died in the mortal world while in their human disguise, would their dead body revert to its Demon form, or would it remain Human?
