- I.F Dev, Uri vs King Alexander.
- Within this scene.... Uri challenged the King of Osrona to a spar... He knew they were even as children when they first entered the Order, but, after so many years have passed. Uri needed to see, if this King truly needed someone to protect him and if Uri was even worthy of one day becoming the Phoenix of Osrona through his wisdom and talents of flame. Their spar was neck and neck at first, but, later on, especially towards the end. Uri held a clear advantage, defeating the King and amazing the crowd through his strategy and power as a commoner against a royal born magi. This made things clear between Uri and the King...Though they were friends, Uri still strived towards Nobility for his family, and so, brings his reason to continue this journey of becoming a certain symbol. One the commoners could turn towards, and one, that the royals will continue to acknowledge as a worthy bloodline.
- [05:06] Calmly, he made his way into the ring, replying to the words of Andrew, "Good." The young Sanctum spoke with embers of flame dancing about his frame. Just like a torch, the flames would grow rapidly, taking form, making a shroud around his body with a trickle of stardust.
- "Been years since we had a match like this Al'." Uri got into the fighting stance of his, trying to channel those flames into his own fist as well as increase the overall heat around his body.
- "I never got to ask, if Marie ever passed my message onto you... Though, I suppose it wouldn't matter now. I'm still fighting alongside Osrona, while completing my journey, before I become home bound as the Sanctum head," he sighs, knowing the amount of stress he would have to deal with.
- But unlike his cousins, unlike those who gave up. He remained, with his grandmother and Bartho… They continued to strive for it, and Uri, right now, would continue to strive for that perfected image. The masterpiece of the flame he stole many years ago, to become an inferno of his own.
- "Let's make this dance a good one," challenged the medic.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:06] Esbern Antioch whispers something.
- [05:10] Alexander turns to face Uri, reigniting the light of the stars once more. It shimmers around his frame, similar to Uri's own but not quite as potent, not as focused.
- A small rise of his eyes, recognition. It had been a while since they fought. The grip of his blade remains stalwart. Held in front of himself as eyes stick to Uri's frame.
- "No, she did not and I see. You better not be making your grandmother worry too much," he replies.
- Said blade is tipped slightly, cosmic energies still dashing around the King's frame. This time he would work on the weight of his swings, the power of it.
- A final nod and the Petrakis darts forward, meeting Uri in this match. He remembered the first time they fought, several years ago when Uri was a cadet and Alexander was the Crown Prince and now they were well on to their way to being adults.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:18] Neck and neck. Just as he expected from the previous encounter. The two had blitzed in towards one another, both utilizing their tools with the cosmos.
- "You've gotten a lot faster though. This I can see clearly." He spoke at ease when they fought.
- "I wouldn't worry about ol' gran either. She understands that, I'm in search of wisdom, to find the Phoenix... It wasn't something I could do while in the order. A conflict of interest, which was why, I had to separate, in order to fight for Osrona, but, not as a knight." He assumed this stance once more.
- The flames of the inferno were hot, but something hard to tame as well. For Uri, it was difficult since, he was like a cup full of water. So much wisdom about fire, but, lacking the space to learn tis other various properties.
- "Your connection with the star of yours seems potent, I'd say... It feels as if we're evenly matched right now."
- He'd channel his energy into his fist. "Again." He said, entering the second round.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:19] Lloyd draws to a stand. He's seen enough. He slowly turns around now, ambling off.
- "Sure Esbern," he said.
- (Lloyd Durages)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:25] Alexander finds himself at odds, battling against such the raging inferno that Uri was. Each of his swings feel like they're overpowered by the flames as soon as they meet. And despite gaining a slight upper hand, Alexander can quickly remember why the Sanctum name held such a high status despite not being borne from nobility.
- "It does. Your flame magic is strong. I can see what you are trying to achieve," he replies, tipping his blade some as Uri seeks to enter the second round. Much like he started to, he would need to work on the weight of his swings but there needed to be something more.
- A way to empower himself like Uri had.
- It is given some thought but that is cut short as the King enters the second round.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:35] With the strength of his flames... The explosive techniques of his twin sister Faira.. The young Phoenix showed himself to be more than capable for this round in order to even the scales as he grunts loudly for the kick delivered, "Hng!" And for the time, he thought of his many days of training with Faira… What they strived for, what they were trying to become.. It all came back to this place, and now, to this setting as sparks of orange flame would rotate around Uri's fist.
- They burned as if cinders were their fuel. "My family has a history with cosmis, light, holy, time chornos and fire... We have had that tome for over many decades. And you're right Al'..." He would assume the stance of the inferno fist, a practice he was going for aside from what was to become of the flaming shroud around him.
- "We're going to add our own pages to that grand tome... We'll bring back our Ancestral Flame," he spoke with solid confidence. "Every time we trade blows though, its nostalgic," he had his thoughts on the past tournament for a brief moment. And now, those embers would continue to trickles around his fist as they entered their final round.
- Because one day... He just might obtain it, that status of nobility, to bring his cousins back from the shadows of the misguided. He was, the head of the Sanctum and its Oath-Keeper.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:41] Alexander grunts, flames overtaking his form and explosions rocking his frame as a single kick hurls him across of the dojo floor. He slides to a halt, regaining footing. Recovering his senses after the fiery blows.
- "That is quite the history," he comments, taking a breather from the fight to continue their conversation.
- "You will have to tell me what this tome is, Uri. And that Pheonix as well," he says. They had not talked about such matters for a while, instead, Uri was a good friend, a carer of the horse of the Castle.
- It interested the Petrakis that Uri was still striving for his own goals in the background. There is a brief smile that lasts only but a second when nostalgia is mentioned. It was true. And then the battle resumes. This time it was less about where Alexander could improve and more about how Uri was wielding such strength within his flames.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [05:43] {Won Restrained RPB against Alexander rei Petrakis}
- [05:52] And so, from where they stood, from this moment of share eye contact. The two were off, dashing throughout the battlefield in order to find their openings in this spar against one another. Uri watched as Alexander had utilized both time and the art of the cosmos behind his blade, as if he were a Star within the realm of the cosmos, an eternal clock if you may.
- "But, what is your goal?" He asked while fighting through, having his flames scatter upon the arena. Leaving stardust and embers all over, waiting for his chance... Uri had the upper hand, though it was no easy feat. He had to time his movements right or else he would fall victim to Alexanders own combination of attacks...
- Then, as their stamina dropped, and the upper hand began to shift over, taking it down to the notch of who could draw their attacks fist... Uri spotted Alexander from a distance, and made the decision, "I'll risk it..." He spoke under his breathe, firing off a nova ray infused with the heat from his fist at his target...
- SNIPED! And, in all fun and enjoyment, the spar came to an end... Uri, was the victor but, nothing he could boast about, for this was what he called a reunion spar...Testing their abilities against one another after a certain period of time had passed...
- "Al' you did very good, I like you use of strategy and brute strength. You and I, we have some ways to go beyond this point don't we?" Uri smiled with a subtle wave from the spot he stood.
- Approaching Alexander, he'd offer a helping hand. "I'll be happy to tell y' all about the tome we have but, you never told me. What it is you're pushing for, your goal in both magic, and for yourself..." He smiles at the friend of his, giving him a fist bump to the shoulder if he stood.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [06:00] What was his goal?
- Alexander leaves that question unanswered. Perhaps he forgets. Or perhaps he chooses not to answer. It was a tough question and one that he did not have the appropriate answer for. And no small answer would do for Uri.
- While they battle, it is a mess of cosmic energy, dabbled with sword strikes and the inferno that is Uri Sanctum. As the Petrakis comes to a hold, fatigue wracking him. He starts to prepare to reenter the battle and then the blast of cosmic energy hits him. Ending the bout on a light hearted note.
- He accepts Uri's hand and pulls himself up. The heat that Uri radiated could still be felt. Perhaps Alexander could ask Berrios of how to achieve something to that affect.
- And then the question for himself. The Petrakis smiles briefly, taking the fist to the shoulder.
- "For magic, now? I will have to work on something like you were showing me there. We still both have a ways to go on that. But. My goal is peace. To unite Esshar again," a stern look given to Uri. The training was over and his magic had faded. And sword sheathed.
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [06:09] And with that. The embers surrounding Uri went from a bright flame, into tiny sparks until finally... Just a collection of hot air, whistling in the wind as the young man would help up his friend. "To put the world at ease once more huh? It all comes down to a certain respect of freedom doesn't it?"
- The young Sanctum would have stood by Alexanders side, patting his shoulder plates or armor if any with both hands. "Though, I'll be honest with you... I'm not sure what it is, the bandits or my cousins desire... Everyone outside of our walls preach of war for freedom but," Uri paused.
- He'd dust himself off and fold his arms, for he would tell Alexander the same words that made an impression onto the folks who threaten to ambush him. And those many ears who were willing to listen. "I've never felt more free anywhere else but here... I see no oppression in Osrona as many claim there to be... I like the idea, of being able to wake up, and see so many commoners stroll about, with the freedom to speak to just about anyone. For friendships like ours to exist. There has to be some sort of freedom, right?" Uri smiled at Alexander.
- "I don't think, many of those bandits know what freedom truly is, not till one comes to the fear of losing it," he spoke not as a diplomat or a medic. But as a young man who has been at the commoners side for as long as he could imagine.
- "Still, your goal, it has to display just that... That we do not oppress anyone who is truly innocent. Wouldn't you say?... It is a very long and bumpy road... Because out there is someone dying to start chaos for their own enjoyment," he knew... Just how sneaky some people were, to highlight a large misunderstanding.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- 06:14] Alexander was still tired from the war but Uri's words to shine some wisdom. Some light from a more common man on the issues. Hands fall to his shoulders and the Petrakis watches as the Sanctum speaks and recalls.
- "That reassures me, Uri," he says to his friend. "You are sounding pretty wise right now."
- And then a pause at the mention of a long and bumpy road.
- "Yes. You are right. I have to go about it the right way.. and there are such people. I had someone tell me that earlier. You never know what is happening where you can not see it," a more somber note, more dark.
- "But anyway, Uri. This is fun. Remember to drop in and say hi to Arthur while you are travelling," he says, patting the Sanctum on his shoulder and shedding a small smile to end their note on a positive. But with that.
- "I do have to sleep though, so good night."
- (Alexander rei Petrakis)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [06:15] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "Unfortunately you will have to tell me about the Pheonix and the Tome next we meet."
- [06:16] Uri Sanctum exclaims, "Hehe, I count on it!"
- [06:16] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "Farewell."
- [06:16] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "Stars guide you."
- [06:16] Uri Sanctum says, "And you also."
- [06:17] Uri stood there, victorious in the arena... He did feel wise, but he knew that the road would only be tough from this day on. He smiled at the young King... To have his flames acknowledged as something stronger than any noble fire...
- It brought pride to his heart... Perhaps he was truly closer to Nobility than he believed. Perhaps, he truly was.
- The Phoenix of Osrona.
- (Uri Sanctum)
