- Fanfic time!
- Once upon a time, Soul found a mysterious basket. The basket was somewhat light, with a white cloth and sky blue futon wrapped around a little roll of bread.
- Except it wasn’t bread, it was a head. And the head had moved towards Soul’s hand. It was incredibly fatigued. Until it was revealed that indeed, there was a tired baby inside of the basket. The baby held onto Soul’s wrinkled hand, and cooed slightly. It let out a soft yawn, and wrapped its hands around the man’s index finger.
- Soul shed a tear, and noticing the baby’s beaten and worn-down state, he took the baby in, and inspected it. The baby was quite dirty, but also very tired. He recognised that it was a male, and saw a tag underneath the baby.
- “His name is Hachikuji Reimi. We have abandoned him due to his slow reactions and heavy attachment issues. He clearly serves no purpose in our family. Sincerely __”
- Soul begun to cry, and he held the baby close. He cried and cried some more, the tears falling down like droplets.
- In an instant, Hanna came down the stairs to console her grief-stricken husband.
- “Dear, whatever is the matter?” she replied, looking at the baby with a mixture of confusion, concern and fleeting happiness.
- “Hanna... this baby. We must keep him.”
- She looked bemused by the response, and begun to mumble in a concerned manner. Words such as “parenting” and phrases such as “lack of experience” were whispered. Soul put the baby softly down its futon case, and he brought Hanna into a deep hug.
- “We’ll do it together, my love.”
- He brought Hanna into a warm resounding hug, as the two looked at the baby in a cherished manner.
