Kitty MewMew Chapter 2

Let's wind back the clock to 10 months prior.
Alphys had recently moved to L City and gotten a job teaching computers for the local high school after a massive falling out with her parents where she got kicked to the streets.
The  school she taught at was pretty cheap and wouldn't even have computers if not for a recent government project to provide computers for all students.
The school just hired the first person who said they knew computers 'cause they couldn't really be fucked.
This did mean Alphys was being paid as low as legally possible for the job but there weren't really any other options available.
She'd found an extremely cheap apartment over in the poorer district. It was utterly awful but she figured she could move into a better one in the future once she gets hold of some real cash.

Susie and Alphys had shared a lot of classes during high school. That was until Susie dropped out in the middle of year 10

So all in all It'd been quite a few years since she'd last seen Susie, but that didn't mean Susie hadn't made a significant impression on her, quite the opposite!

Alphys always had a thing for tough women, and so Susie had been her crush for many years, of course lack of courage and Susie's cold, lazy personality meant that many days she'd barely catch a glimpse of her.
It'd been something she'd thought had been left in the past after Susie stopped coming to school.

Occasionally she had wondered where Susie had gone, it was one of her few regrets, wondering if she had've just tried to get close maybe she wouldn't be left without answers, maybe she'd wouldn't have been alone and friendless throughout school...

She had NOT been expecting to see her drinking old milk out of a dish in an alleyway.

Her mind is going a mile a minute trying to think of what to say while they're both still frozen in shock,

"Uhh long time no see?" Alphys goes with the first thing that comes to mind, a bit cliche but at least she got something out.

Of course Susie just wanted to get out of there but the alley was tiny and the only direction out is through Alphys.
Ultimately she falls back into the corner and curls up hoping Alphys will just ignore her.

She waits in silence for a minute before having a quick peek only to find Alphys hasn't moved from her spot.

"Um, I'm still here y'know but uhh hey are you alright?" Alphys asks concerned

"No." Susie whispers before moving into a more comfortable sitting position, obviously realising things don't disappear just because you stopped looking at them.
"No I'm not." Susie says with all the enthusiasm of a dead puppy.

"I haven't seen you in years, I didn't even know you'd moved here." The question of where Susie was and where she ended up was no longer the fuzzy unknown it had been just minutes prior.

"I could say the same to you." Susie said giving a pained smile.

"Umm... do you have anywhere safe to stay for tonight?"

"No..."

"Well why umm... why d-don't you come up and stay with me for a bit?" Alphys worked up the courage to ask the question on everyone's mind.

"You sure you want to let trash inside your home?" Susie said with a self deprecating smile thing time.

Alphys didn't know how to reply to that question for a moment, but then she came up with the perfect answer.

"Of course I do, I'm living there aren't I?" A bit if self deprecating humour to fit the tone. Real smooth.

Susie didn't speak for a few second as she processed it for a bit before giving a sigh and a quiet "Heh."

"Oh alright."
"I suppose the mighty Trash Queen could grace your dump with my royal presence." a more genuine and slightly smug grin showed on her face this time.

Alphys noticed the change in Susie and felt the dreary energy had been lifted ever so slightly
