  1. JoelFo's Bizarre Day.
  2.
  3. I shouldn't have gotten so close, Joel now realized. The Foundation's contacts went to a great deal of trouble to locate this dealer. All Joel had to do was snap a few photos of the alley he sold his product. But this wasn't a friendly neighborhood, and taking a pic with a camera phone was too obvious these days. While he was debating how to get close to the dealer, a tall man approached him firstT. Joel thought it was a buyer, but something made him think differently. This man didn't look like an addict, and he was carrying something with him. A distributer?
  4.
  5. That's why, when the dealer and distributer went deeper into the alley, Joel tried to nonchalantly follow. He ducked next to a dumpster and hugged the wall.
  6.
  7. The two men exchanged packages with each other. The dealer, a brown paper bag, probably full of money. The tall man, a thin black case. The dealer quickly opened it and seemed content with what he saw.
  8.
  9. Joel quickly snapped pictures with his phone. The dealer, his distributer, and, if he was lucky, the arrowhead they were trading, all in one tidy package. When he felt he had enough, he turned to leave.
  10.
  11. And ran headfirst into a wall that wasn't there.
  12.
  13. He cursed out loud, alerting the other two men. The dealer ran deeper down the alley, but the tall man stayed. He casually walked closer to Joel. A sudden flash from his hand revealed the gleam of a knife. He reared back his hand and threw the knife.
  14.
  15. "AAAAAAHHHH!!!", screamed Joel as the deadly blade flew threw the air toward him.
  16.
  17. For a moment, the tall man allowed himself a thin smile. But then his brain registered what had really happened.
  18.
  19. Where Joel was once standing, there was a metal trash can with a blade in it.
  20.
  21. And outside the alley was the sound of Joel on his back, laughing. "AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
  22.
  23. Joel flipped up and looked back in the alley. The tall man's suprise quickly turned into curiousity.
  24.
  25. Joel almost took a step back into the alley, but stopped. On the ground were two arrows, each point forward.
  26.
  27. "Oh, so that's what's going on", said Joel. He tried to reach out behind him, but something invisible blocked his hand.
  28.
  29. "Guess I'm still stuck here. That's your doing, right?" He walked slowly towards the tall man.
  30.
  31. "You don't seem that surprised.", said the tall man, "And that power of yours. You must be a stand user as well. A Fleet Fox perhaps? No, you're no soldier. The SpeedWagon Foundation?"
  32.
  33. Joel's eyes widened in surprise and he tried to turn away from him. The tall man grinned. "Thank you for confirming it.", he said.
  34.
  35. Joel signed and reached into his vest. Inside was his company cap, which he put smartly on his head.
  36.
  37. "Well, guess that's out of the bag." He looked at the other man and grinned. "Name's Joel. What's yours?"
  38.
  39. The tall man tilted his head to one side. "Com Truise. You've already met my stand, [Invaders Must Die]."
  40.
  41. A piece of graffiti Joel hadn't noticed sniggered and moved toward Truise.
  42.
  43. Joel reached into his vest a pulled out a small disk, slightly thicker than a CD. With a flick of his hand, he proceeded to spin it along one finger.
  44.
  45. "And this is mine, [Catch Action]. It let's me swap myself with another object, like SO!"
  46.
  47. Joel quickly spun around and threw his disk out of the alley. But it flew barely a foot before it bounced off an invisible wall and hit him in the face.
  48.
  49. Truise arced an eyebrow. The sad display of Joel clutching his forehead almost made him forget he had to die. It was only when he noticed Joel take out a notepad that he reacted. "Hey, what is that?"
  50.
  51. Joel muttered to himself as he wrote,"Wall...affects...people...stands..." He paused. "...not objects?..."
  52.
  53. "Hey!", yelled Truise, "What the hell are you doing?"
  54.
  55. "Oh, this?", said Joel. "It's just some notes. I gotta give the bosses something." He put away the notepad and pointed at Truise. "Anyway, it's been nice chatting, but I've gotta get going."
  56.
  57. Truise glared and drew out another knife. "You're not going anywhere you little punk!", he yelled. His arm suddenly lashed out and the knife flew towards Joel.
  58.
  59. Joel spun, dodging both the knife and throwing a Catch disk in one motion. It went spinning towards the garbage can Joel originally swapped with.
  60.
  61. "I don't think so!", yelled Truise. He kicked away the garbage can. Joel's Catch disk went past Truise, hitting the ground and skipping wildly upwards.
  62.
  63. But that was Joel's plan all along. The Catch disk began to level out and hit something on the emergency stairway further down the alley. With a grin, Joel slapped another disk on himself, activiting its power, [Catch Action - Action B]. Where he stood, a flower pot appeared in his place.
  64.
  65. Truise spun around and saw Joel was now hanging on the stairway railing. Joel flipped him the bird before climbing over the railing and running up the stairway.
  66.
  67. "Sorry, friend, but like I said, I gotta go.", said Joel.
  68.
  69. Joel started climbing the top of the stairs. But he was barely midway up when the glint of a blade caught he eye. He just barely dodged it, but the edge of the knife cut deeply into his cheek.
  70.
  71. Right over the railing was Truise. Against all logic, he was standing on the side of the wall. Underneath his feet were arrows pointing upward, placed there by his stand.
  72.
  73. Joel looked over the railing. He couldn't see the trash can from this angle. Looking through the grating he could see another dumpster, but that was directly underneath Truise, who would be expecting that. And [Invaders Must Die] had already reached the roof, no doubt laying a trap for him if he made it that far. Escape was impossible.
  74.
  75. "There's no way out, up or down.", said Truise "Give me that phone, and I promise I will make this quick, Joe."
  76.
  77. ...
  78.
  79. ......
  80.
  81. .........
  82.
  83. Joel's fingers tensed. The thought of escape disappeared from his mind. He took out a Catch disk. This would require precision timing and aim. If he messed up, he was going to splatter on the concrete below.
  84.
  85. "Give it up?", said Joel "Sure, I'll give it up. Right after I'm done breaking your face."
  86.
  87. Truise glared and readied another knife. But Joel was already over the railing and falling.
  88.
  89. One story.
  90.
  91. Two story.
  92.
  93. Three!
  94.
  95. Joel threw his Catch disk at the railing and held the second in a deathgrip. This activated [Catch Action - Action C].
  96.
  97. Both the railing and Joel became linked as if joined by a taunt rope. His fall began to arc in a pendulum motion, down, across...
  98.
  99. ...and straight back up.
  100.
  101. Truise had no time to react as Joel let go of his Catch disk and dropkicked him from below. The arrows created by [Invaders Must Die] sent both men hurtling further up the wall.
  102.
  103. Joel pick himself up. He was standing sideways on the wall with an unconscious Truise. The arrows were beginning to fade. Joel didn't think he could drag Truise back to the stairway in time.
  104.
  105. Joel looked further up to the rooftop. He had the best idea.
  106.
  107. **************
  108.
  109. When Truise finally woke up, he was hanging over the edge of the roof. Nothing seemed to be keeping him from simply falling to his death.
  110.
  111. "Hey, friend.", said Joel. He was standing on the rooftop, looking down at Truise from above.
  112.
  113. "You...", growled Truise. He tried moving, but he couldn't move even a single finger.
  114.
  115. "Oh that? Well, you might've guessed, but I my stand can do more that swap objects. That little stunt I pulled? That was thanks to [Action C]. And what's keeping you from falling," Joel pointed at a Catch disk attached to Truise's chest. "That's [Catch Action - Action A]. It's also keeping you from taking out your stand, so no funny business."
  116.
  117. Joel's expression darkened. "Now, since we're up here..." Joel took out his notepad.
  118.
  119. It took some convincing, but Joel got everything. Delivery dates, drop off locations, and best of all, the name he was looking for.
  120.
  121. "Ok, ok!", screamed Truise. "I've told you everything. Now help me up."
  122.
  123. Joel made to grab him by the arm, but stopped short.
  124.
  125. "It's Joel.", he said.
  126.
  127. "What?", said Truise.
  128.
  129. "It's Joel, you asshole!", Joel said angrily. "GET IT RIGHT!"
  130.
  131. Joel yanked the Catch disk off of Truise. He immediately started falling all ten stories...
  132.
  133. ...right into the open dumpster. A second later, the top slowly fell and closed.
  134.
  135. ********
  136.
  137. Com Truise: Currently healing multiple broken bones at a local hospital. The SpeedWagon Foundation is keeping an eye on him. The whereabouts of the dealer is currently unknown.
