  1. [18:59] Leading the group through the forests and along the beaches of the outer lands Dok was very pleased. After all his first Mark had finally returned to him and he would take advantage of such, especially in Valars death it was useful to have a powerful crafter aside from the king. In truth It was time for Dok to truly take reigns of his position.
  2.
  3. He was a leader now after all, One who at least a few of the Death Knights looked upon. They had seen him feed after all, such was not a pleasant sight.
  4.
  5. The Boat finally makes its way into the canals of the mire, lifting himself out and up the cliffs using tendrils of earth from his coat he and the crew made their way deeper into the mire and deeper still until the arrived at the temple of Nyx.
  6.
  7. "I felt it was time I gathered you all." He'd speak after a few hours of silence. The group reached a door blocked by a perfect slab of shining metal with the same glowing rune carved into it as the one he bore.
  8.
  9. The construct taps in the center of the spiral as the metal reverberates, ripples being sent through it as it turned into a sort of liquid state and seeped into the walls.
  10.
  11. "Come, you are the first to enter this chamber in centuries."
  12.
  13. With that being said, Dok enters the dark, giving all the knights the choice to join him.
  14. (Dok Zong)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [18:59] Traversing forests, walking along beahes, the Prince follows along with Dok who seemingly had taken up the role as the leader of the Death Knights so to speak in a sense. With Valar gone someone had to take the reigns.
  18.
  19. The Monkey Prince felt he wasn't worthy of doing so, it was natural considering he couldn't even come close to avenging them. Upon arriving at the mire once more, they go deeper and deeper as they arrive at the temple of Nyx.
  20.
  21. A silent nod was given at the words stated towards him and the others.
  22.
  23. The first to enter in centuries? Interesting...there was a curious gleam in his eyes as they simply join Dok as they continue...
  24. (Tu-Kong)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [18:59] Wasn't sure why he was following in truth! When it came down to it Nanzo wasn't truly a Death Knight per se but he'd fought side by side with the group and saved Valar once before. Even if he'd never truly joined he was a stalwart ally of them. Perhaps that's why when Dok motioned for others to join the Mutant didn't linger.
  28.
  29. After all he'd seen that allies where important to have close by. His fights with the many humans of the continent always ended with his defeat at the hands of the many. If he'd had others with him? Whose to say when his rampage would have ended. Truly, who was to say.
  30.
  31. "What's going on Dok Zong?"
  32.
  33. He wasn't going to sit outside and wait after all! He wanted to see what the groups plans where going forwards. After all he'd never became a death knight proper but that could change.
  34. (Nanzo)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [18:59] The suit followed the group traversing through the dense forest scattered throughout the land. He wasn't entirely sure where they were going though he stayed close behind the group.
  38.
  39. He seemed to lead them into the temple of Nyx before speaking. Nauticus couldn't make up what was going on though, it soon became obvious. It seemed he was trying to take after Valar, in the leadership of the Death Knights.
  40.
  41. To Nauticus he felt it was a good fit, even more that it seemed the group would be back together.. perhaps attempting to grow again. To allow Valar to rest easy.
  42.
  43. "...In centuries?" was all he spoke, seemed like quite a long time what could be stored away.
  44.
  45. He'd look around though as he would disappear into the darkness he'd soon follow of course.
  46. (Nauticus)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [18:59] The corridor is long, dark and cold. The smell of dirt was thick and the darkness itself was thicker almost as if walking through the deepest reaches of the mire itself. The would be a moment where the group would realise they now walked alone. Dok was nowhere to be found.
  50.
  51. The Temple heavy with the power of Nyx, had practically grown a mind of its own. Like a haunted thing that the monsters themselves had thrived in. Many, like Zong, had awoken from such after years of slumber.
  52.
  53. Eventually, the path would open up, pits in the ground bursting alight with silent flame the moment the first one stepped across the threshold.
  54.
  55. The light cast from the eerie flames made its way across the room, revealing a figure standing at the farthest end.
  56.
  57. The metal Skeleton waited in silence for his knights.
  58.
  59. In the center of the room was a massive spiral carved into the floor of the cave. Constantly churning, alive like the coat he wore. The very earth he had risen from, that had awoken him and granted him his symbiotic mastery over the dirt.
  60.
  61. He would beckon forward as each of took place along the spiral, the churning, living earth silencing itself at their feet as if welcoming them.
  62.
  63. Finally, he speaks. His voice no longer coming from the Skeleton but the very spiral itself, heavier almost melodic.
  64.
  65. "Valar had a vision, one I would like to honor. Though times change and so do we all. Some of you are knights, others allies. However today, we will form a true bond for the Mire is in need."
  66.
  67. "This is the place that woke me, a symbol of the hungering planet, I am it's avatar." The spiral churns as his voice fills the room, the Skeletal construct taking a few steps into it's center.
  68.
  69. "You, are to be my knights. The Knights of the Spiral, in his honor and in that of the mire. The Planet wishes it so, for you are each worthy of bringing your enemies to the dirt."
  70.
  71. "Each of you, are willing to break yourselves of the futility of life to build and fight for your own. By my side, we will make true weapons of ourselves and beyond such."
  72.
  73. Stopping dead in the center of the room the Skeleton goes silent, the churning of the earth below their feet pausing as it did.
  74.
  75. The pause is long until the Skeleton tilts it's head once more, almost mechanically.
  76.
  77. "Shall you aid me in honoring the one who united us?"
  78.
  79. (Dok Zong)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [18:59] His tail swayed behind him, his ears taking in only the words of Dok. It was true, a vision was what Valar had, yet they could not see it to fruition. Their words rang in his very ears, the Knights of the Spiral...that was borned in this very moment.
  83.
  84. The Prince nods as the words echoed throughout the room, to truly go beyond and the likes...
  85.
  86. There was only one answer as well to be given, to their request...
  87.
  88. "I mean...yeah; of course..."
  89. (Tu-Kong)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [18:59] Death Knights.
  93.
  94. Knights of the Spiral.
  95.
  96. It was something that Nanzo understood in its own right. He'd walked through the dark and twisting halls of the temple and though his connection to the stars dimmed as the thick earth cast over them. His connection with the world itself only multiplied. He was one with the depths as much as with the stars.
  97.
  98. He wasn't a creature of death at-least not in the sense of the Dullahans or skeletons. No, he breath life and as he walked it was often with the blossoming of flowers at his feet. An avatar of corruption of what was and the blossoming of what could be.
  99.
  100. Though, they'd all come to know him by another title than avatar. The Mighty One. That was all he need be known as after all. His actions would speak for the rest of his purpose and in those moments such as this where his mind lay bare and unclouded by the constant strumming's of rage and madness?
  101.
  102. He could see clearly.
  103.
  104. "I will stand with you, by your side. None command nor own Nanzo the Mighty." He paused for a moment as he took a place at the start of the spiral. He was the beginning of the cycle. He was life, creation, and above all mutation.
  105.
  106. "I fight only to show I am the Mightiest. To show the power of Crom Cruach but I tire of fighting alone." He would join the Knights but it was clear that Nanzo would never be subservient to another. Even the King of the Mire's words often needed force to remain binding to the mutant.
  107. (Nanzo)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [18:59] Nanzo says, "Monkey... Guessing is... Weak."
  111. [18:59] Tu-Kong says, "-I see."
  112. [18:59] Upon entering the long, dark tunnel he couldn't help but keep the one arm he had to the wall considering he couldn't see anything. Everyone was silent, at some moments he couldn't tell weather he was still with the group or not.. that thought soon faded as a flame would emerge revealing a room feet away from him, the presence of the skeleton fitted in the doorway.
  113.
  114. He continued towards the light, upon entering the room his gaze would traverse throughout the walled place. He'd take notice towards the spiral carved into the floor of the cave seeming to move as if it was alive. As everyone seemed to gather around the spiral he would do the same, it would seem to allow his being shifting for his comfort.
  115.
  116. The silence broken from the skeletons words, though it wouldn't be produced from him.. merely from the spiral their feet stood in. He'd listen closely, clearly confused by the ordeal though interested. When he spoke, his thought seemed to be true.
  117.
  118. He wanted to take on the vision that Valar saw, to Nauticus he was glad that someone had stepped up. The death of Valar was one that had impacted him in many ways, as he spoke.. he was the one that had introduced him, he trained him.. offered the place of a Death Knight. He had barely gotten through the first training segment before Valar's passing, but he spoke upon high thoughts for Nauticus and for that.. he will stand by the flame that was re-egnited for his honor.
  119.
  120. As the two would speak, he'd wait for them to finish. He'd straighten himself up.. the suit creaking as he would shift his movements. "I too will stand with you, to continue the vision that Valar had." The voiced bellowed.
  121.
  122. "He brought us together. I trust his judgement, along with yours. I trust you to step up and become the leader.. and we'll continue to fight together." He spoke once more before his position would relax about, the armor once again cracking as it reversed.
  123. (Nauticus)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [18:59] "Very well."
  127.
  128. Dok spoke, beckoning towards Nanzo.
  129.
  130. "A Knight of the Spiral no less for we are all free things are we not?" He would query, While Dok sought to influence he did not care to control. The Construct, the self proclaimed avatar of the hungering planet simply sought to unite for he knew the logical solution was to do so.
  131.
  132. Even the strongest fighters required allies, such was the reason their enemies were so formidable. While the Mire had a king, they were still a broken people, fractured races all set to sow chaos. All caught up in their own pointless and futile cycles.
  133.
  134. "I only command where it is needed, in all ways we fight together and we fight as one. For centuries I have been a weapon of men foolish enough to seek my power. A mindless construct, part of a hive of thousands yet alone for I was the only one to find solace and silence." He'd say, pointing at the spiral on his forehead.
  135.
  136. "I freed myself from a fate of being passed down like a heirloom of master to student, from fool to fool."
  137.
  138. "I have gutted a hundred masters, a hundred generals. Armies have fallen to my horde to which I am the last."
  139.
  140. "I seek not to lead, no. But to unite the mighty and the damned that we might bring those foolish enough to hope down to their knees to kiss the dirt most deserving."
  141.
  142. "Allow me to mark you, not as a curse like I have done to those I feed upon.. But as a gift, from the planet that has chosen you as it's knights. That your bodies may feed it as your souls feed the stars"
  143.
  144. "A Gift that will show you true freedom, where no masters can reach you."
  145. (Dok Zong)
  146. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  147.
  148. [18:59] Tu-Kong exclaims, "-Very well!"
  149. [18:59] Frekr Gullmunr says, "Oi, Nanzo y' shiny feck, y' owe m' five thousand coin f' this - y' can probably make much more than that when w' loot th' sorcerer."
  150. [18:59] {Item} You picked up Elixir Of Healing. Dropped by Frekr Gullmunr..
  151. [18:59] Nanzo exclaims, "Then you'll be paid then!"
  152. [18:59] Frekr Gullmunr says, "S' b' it."
  153. [18:59] Nanzo did in fact respect Frekr's fashion choices.
  154. (Nanzo)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [18:59] ----
  158.
  159. As Frekr, the first to feel the force of the Mark of Zong made his way down the dark halls the path seemed to lengthen. Almost as if for a moment he'd felt like he'd been walking for hours, guided simply by a pang of heat and pain in the center of his forehead.
  160.
  161. Eventually he found himself in a room, a few hooded knights of the newfound Order of the Spiral stand silently among the metal skeleton in the center of a large, churning spiral of living earth in the floor.
  162.
  163. "Welcome, my child."
  164.
  165. Speaks the voice that fills the room, beckoning Frekr forward with a voice that almost felt like a forgiving melody in such a place that churned with the hungering endlessness of the planet itself.
  166.
  167. "Welcome, to the place you are meant to be."
  168.
  169. The Skeleton tilts it's head, his gaze felt like it filled the room to the point where it was difficult to breathe. This was truly a place of power, an example that the mire itself was a force of it's own. One that tapped into many sources including the very planet itself.
  170.
  171. "Welcome, to the Spiral, Frekr."
  172. (Dok Zong)
  173. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  174.
  175. [18:59] A blink.
  176.
  177. Frankly, they were intrigued at the thought of the new names, the future this group would take that is, the path that they'd all trek down. To fight together, to fight as one...frankly, the Monkey agreed to such but also wished to fight his battles solo.
  178.
  179. Their words, he understood them, he was actually impressed at what they were capable of....
  180.
  181. A mark, this would be another means to make him unique among others once more. To be marked, he saw no problem in such, and it was a gift nonetheless. He had a preference as to where he'd place it.
  182.
  183.
  184. Pulling up his armor, his tail dances behind him as he points at his chest area, the left peck even.
  185.
  186. His arm which was actually functional pointed towards it.
  187.
  188.
  189. "Well, if there aint any specific place...could do it right 'ere."
  190.
  191. They demand, it would be kind of cool to take off his armor and the first thing they'd see is such a mark on his chest, so he thought that is...
  192. (Tu-Kong)
  193. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  194.
  195. [18:59] Frekr could feel the power of this place. He'd been pulled to it for years ago, but until now he'd resisted that tug at the back of his mind. Day by day, year by year, his corruption grew more severe - until now.
  196.
  197. Now he was finally here, and he could feel the power of the Spiral in his bones. The way it made them want to escape their fleshy prison, and be free, like chuggums was.
  198.
  199. But it was not time for that - not yet.
  200.
  201. "Hmm... S'pose y' could say I'm glad t' be 'ere. A' least, glad nae t' b' here in chains." He'd say with a dry chuckle from behind his mask.
  202. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  204.
  205. [18:59] The suit would stand by awaiting the reply from the skeleton. As he would speak he would listen close. In his fights, the one where he had lost an arm.. he was by himself. The outcome could've been worse, but it showed that allies were necessary. Even more so when there is a cause he would serve behind it.
  206.
  207. As he spoke, it was clear there would be freedom. Speaking as they would fight together, as one. It was something he admired. Being able to rely on allies, as well as being an ally to rely on. His gaze peered towards the spiral he had on his forehead as he spoke upon it.
  208.
  209. The more he spoke, the more he could understand. It seemed as if he didn't want to lead them, he wanted to fight with them alongside and to the goal. When a mark was spoke upon he would wait until he would do the deed to Tu-Kong.
  210.
  211. A step was taken forward towards the skeleton before he would speak.
  212.
  213. "I do not have any specific place either.. somewhere, where it can be seen I suppose." Was what the voice would come up with.
  214. (Nauticus)
  215. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  216.
  217. [18:59] Standing at the start of things as he saw it. The place where he'd the most right to be. He was not the end of things but the beginning as had been shown time and time again as the living of the Mire where ignored in favor of the dead both in the outside views and the internal politics.
  218.
  219. It was clear that Dok respected his freedom. That the man sought not to bind that freedom but to offer it assurances. To show that others would stand with him in protecting that freedom and he would do the same in kind. The Mutant's lips peeled back into a wide smile at the sound of that. They would crush the world beyond that sought to bring them low.
  220.
  221. Nanzo's hands came up to grip the edges of his mask. Slowly the sounds of something tearing could be heard as the mutant peeled it from his flesh. Often did the mask meld with him during his rampages and it was less so that he took it off. Though the blood from his face fell to the ground in splotches by the time the mutant's foot falls made their way to Dok his face would have healed. It was not an unbecoming visage considering the monsters other aspects.
  222.
  223. Most odd though would be the small flowers and weeds that blossomed at the drops of Nanzo's blood. As the tainted magics of Crom Cruach warped the earth and brought forth twisted life all its own. Those triplet of crimson orbs leveled upon Dok Zong as he extended out the mask. It was his mask and the mask that he was known for.
  224.
  225. Perhaps even it was the thing which was more associated with Nanzo the Mighty than the mutant himself. His clawed hand slide across the bluesteel mask to tap upon the center. His claw circled it as a trail of stardust mimicked the spiral. It would end with the spiral leading into the spot where his third eye shown.
  226.
  227. "Mark here Dok Zong, grant me the planets blessing so that all may see it. As they witness Nanzo the Mighty's power they will know that the earth and cosmos are intertwined. They will know that what lies below has grown weary of their evils."
  228.
  229. He would become connected to the planet and the stars. A bridge between celestial bodies. The spirits of the Mire would have a champion whose fury and rage could not be stopped.
  230. (Nanzo)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [18:59] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  234. [18:59] "Come then, Frekr, the first to feel my mark, to taste my hunger."
  235.
  236. "Watch as these worthy few accept my gift as you once abhorred it."
  237.
  238. At this moment, the room itself silences, the silent fires seem to dim as the Skeleton had begun to walk towards the end of the spiral, taking hold of Nanzos mask and gently placing it back onto his face.
  239.
  240. "Very well, my child." He speaks, pressing a finger onto the a space that fit perfectly between the eyes of the mask. Without force, the Skeletons finger pierces into the material, carving a long spiral through the eyes of the mask. Something that Nanzo could feel in every fibre of his being as if the Construct carved into his very essence.
  241.
  242. Next, he approaches Tukong, the deafening silence cut away any gasps or screams that may have come from Nanzo. To each and every one of them save for Frekr, who was meant to watch, they were all alone on a spiral save for the one who came to mark them.
  243.
  244. The Skeleton presses his finger into the Monkey princes chest, the metal tip sinking into his ribcage. Silently, Dok Zong carves a perfect spiral before pulling his hand free and moving onto the next.
  245.
  246. Approaching Nautilus Dok laughs lightly, the way a father would to a child he was proud of. Gently, he places a hand on the boys cheek.
  247.
  248. "Sweet Nautilus. So young, so much Hunger to feel.. You will thank me for this."
  249.
  250. At this moment, a metal finger plunges into the boys forehead, carving into his skull as a perfect spiral was formed. The moment the third was complete, each of the marks seared themselves shut with a strange force, glowing brightly.
  251.
  252. Even Frekr could feel where his scar once was searing with pain as skin peeled back and bloodless scars reformed themselves.
  253.
  254. The Dirt churns, the pressure in the room lessens as Dok stands silently in the circle, the fresh marks still sizzling with strange energies, fresh with pain, hunger and newfound unity.
  255.
  256. The smell of dirt and flesh burnt and warped filled the room as the Construct turned his attention to Frekr.
  257.
  258. "Welcome, to the forming of the Order my child. After all it is your arrival here that we celebrate in our unity. The first to taste the hunger. Such fruit it has bore you."
  259.
  260. "Come.. Tell me where your path has led you. Where I have led you."
  261. (Dok Zong)
  262. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  263.
  264. [18:59] His features winced in pain as he watched Dark carve into the mask. It was clear with each moment that this was a mark of great power. More than just a false symbol. It was a binding curse, a hex, something old and twisted which would have alarmed the mutant if they'd not asked for it. What was some pain to them? Their spirit would bear the connection to the primordial earth and they would understand its call.
  265.
  266. Was this not just another step towards strengthening their magic? Was this not just another step towards greatness upon their path? A low groan escaped the mutant's lips as they fought through the spiritual pain and all it entitled. Rage bubbled at the back of his mind and it took all his strength not to lash out.
  267.
  268. As he pulled back his hand came up to trace the circling spiral as it came along his mask. Marring the smooth contours and yet the power that thrummed through that symbol was undoubtable. Even know he could see the wisps of the earth as they flitted about the room. Vague outlines of the world beyond and the world to be.
  269.
  270. This was what it meant to see as one of the dead then? Was he to bridge this gap as well as Valar had once urged him to do? As the mutant took a step away. Returning to the start of the circle a pulling of crimson magic began to circle within the spirals of his mask. Eyes of scarlet glowing ever brighter as the powers that be coursed thorugh the young magi.
  271. (Nanzo)
  272. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  273.
  274. [18:59] Frekr steps forward and a low laugh echoes from behind his mask, a quiet laugh so small it might not have been heard if not for the near absolute silence in the room. The pain of the mark? It was nothing. Nothing compared to the agony he'd experienced so many times before.
  275.
  276. "Y' certainly bear th' burden o' much responsibility, in tha' regard. Might jus' 'ave t' kill y' fer th' mark y' gave m' an th' path it set m' down." Frekr muses, gingerly touching his fingers to the mask he wore so that it can clide back and into the hood, allowing his hair to burst free and reveal his beautiful - corrupted visage.
  277.
  278. "Th' defeat I tasted wit' y'? One o' many. O' near a dozen fights, I have known victory in only two - against th' old Lorekeeper o' th' Vanir, an' a Vanir child." He'd say, though he sounded more bitterover these victories than he did over his many more defeats.
  279.
  280. "I 'ave known exquisite agony, tha' would 'ave driven any mortal man mad. I 'ave known th' humiliation o' defeat. Th' fear o' bein' at th' mercy o' another. Th' disgust o' needin' protection. Th' spiteful envy tha' festers in a heart so black as m' own. Th' feelin' o' m' own body bein' broken, burnt, bound, beaten, bruised, bloodied, drowned, electrocuted, torn apart, an corrupted o'er an o'er again... I 'ave known th' anguish o' losin' a loved one. Th' hate borne seein' a friend turn against m'. The guilt o' hurtin' m' own friends an family..."
  281.
  282. As he spoke these words, the spiral begin to smoke and crackle as something else boiled up from within Frekr - something a far cry from the dirt. Black tears of Ersatz Ichor began to fall from the Vanir's eyes, seeming to fuse with the very tattoos that covered his body as they flowed freely.
  283.
  284. He'd faced so many battles, and known defeat again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again... Reliving the suffering of those days ad infinitum anytime he even dares to close his eyes.
  285.
  286. But his eyes were open now, and shifting his gaze to the side he saw the Shade of Skoll standing there, just watching silently. Strangely, it hadn't spoken once since his most recent defeat at the hands of Vekel. What was it waiting for?
  287.
  288. Turning his gaze back to Dok Zong, Frekr offers the Skeleton a twisted grin. "But, I've also learned that the Darkness offers gifts that some might call... unnatural." And as he spoke those words, his aura flared to life - first blue, pure and unalignedto any element, flecked with black and purple streaks of corruption. Then, it grew larger as Frekr focused on all of the things he'd felt, all of that negativity, all of those chaotic emotions.
  289.
  290. It flared even larger, turning a dark purple-gray as Frekr's own body began to flake off with it in tiny pieces, seeming to burn from his own mana - but healing just as fast. He could only sustain that state for but a moment right now, and only when he let his mind revel in the worst moments of his life.
  291.
  292. But in that moment? The room would be absolutely flooded with a sense of uncanny hunger - or perhaps that wasn't the right word. It wasn't the hunger of someone that had nothing to eat. It was more like the envy of a man who couldn't appreciate what he had. The greed of a merchant that always wanted more. The gluttony of a serpent that would devour the entire world, if it wasn't stopped.
  293.
  294. Then, all at once, it was gone, and Frekr stood there with that eerie blue glow once more.

  296. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297.
  298. [18:59] He'd stand by watching the process as he was quite interested in what would be happening. He may of hovered over a bit as it would go on though he wouldn't leave the spiral. It seemed a finger was all that was needed upon contact a spiral would be carved along the mask.
  299.
  300. To be honest, he'd have a lot of questions as he was a curious man though he wouldn't speak upon them yet. His gaze followed the skeleton as he next moved towards Tu-Kong as Nanzo didn't seem to have any lingering concerns with the ordeal.
  301.
  302. The Monkey prince seemed to want the marking on his chest, and that was soon fulfilled as the skeletons finger was pressed against his chest the spiral soon emerging his marking seeming to be complete. His gaze would meet the skeletons as a soft laugh emerged along with his hand placed along his helm.
  303.
  304. His gaze continued towards the man as he spoke, making him more curious.. though for the time being it seemed his marking would sooncome after his words. A finger plunged through his helmet, a quick effect.. one like the bullet that was shot through it not to long ago.
  305.
  306. His words bounced throughout his head, on what the hunger meant that he said they would feel.. he hadn't the persistence and routine to go out and make a name for himself, could this be the thing to change that? The spiral acting as a bandage would wrap around the puncture until it was fully formed, soon glowing with a strange force of magic.. pain would sound follow rippling throughout the effect..
  307.
  308. The hunger he spoke of that Nauticus was confused by soon summed up. A burst of it seeming to consume him. His eyes would bounce around the room, he remained his composure as if he was fighting back a different being within him. The suit trembled for but a couple of moments fighting the urge.
  309.
  310. His foot tapped repetitively until the feeling that had consumed him quickly seemed to fade. He peered towards the rest of the group and then back towards the skeleton. His one good arm, extending a hand that would come up to meet the place where he had been marked.
  311.
  312. He didn't have many words, he seemed satisfied with the outcome and his dedication for the cause still remained.. but some could say he'd seem a little frazzled.
  313. (Nauticus)
  314. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  315.
  316. [18:59] {Item} You drop Pipe.
  317. [18:59] {Item} You picked up Pipe. Dropped by Nanzo..
  318. [18:59] Slowly, the earth of the spiral at the Skeletons feet rises, wrapping him in a coat of living dirt. Covering his arms as sleeves and detaching itself from the dirt to provide a cloak like tail.
  319.
  320. The Display of power and hunger that came from Frekr was a very pleasing one, a perfect example of the very source of Doks being. A perfect testament to his influence as he saw it.
  321.
  322. "Yes, surely you should kill me.. Or should you thank me? For the way you now see your world. You would not rid this world of one of your precious gems would you?"
  323.
  324. "Just as you have become one of mine? We are both treasures in a world of hunger. Natural is simply an example of what any and all are exposed to, for some the void is a natural thing, for others, our hunger is such. Such is the way in places such as these." He speaks, watching and relishing in the pain that clung to the air, the choking horrid pressure that danced from Frekrs body.
  325.
  326. "I am no master, I abhor masters, yet I seek to bless my children, the marked. My chosen few.. There is Irony in all things. I am proud to see you still stand. With power and will, despite your perceived failings you still leave your mark Just as I do."
  327.
  328. "Such is a part of the spiral, wether you are at it's center or it's tail."
  329. (Dok Zong)
  330. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  331.
  332. [18:59] Nodding to Dok, Frekr considers his words carefully. The skeleton was certainly right - Frekr had much to thank him for. "I wonder though, could I, if I pleased?"
  333.
  334. Raising an arm, Frekr extends his gold-clad hand towards Dok Zong's metal body and suddenly clenches his fist. Exerting all of his strength, he'd aim to make the construct feel the pressure of Frekr' will, the burden of Frekr's failure. The weight of all the riches in the world - all the riches that could have been Frekr's if not for his weakness.
  335.
  336. But then he lets the pressure go and chuckles - simply having been curious how their power differed - how much stronger Frekr had become, since last he met with Zong.
  337.
  338. Afterall, he wouldn't really kill any of the Denizens of the Mire - not without justifiable reasons before the judgement of Torgon. He still had too much to gain from the alliance.
  339.
  340. "So, we're all marked, an' I'm y' first. Must make m' pre'y special." He'd joke, glancing at the others that stood within the spiral, gauging himself against them - trying to determine if they had anything he didn't. Anything he wanted.
  341. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  342. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  343.
  344. [18:59] Nanzo had a handsome face to start.
  345. (Nanzo)
  346. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  347.
  348. [18:59] Frekr was called somewhat handsome by the Queen of Asphodel, so that's a no to Nanzo.
  349. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  350. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  351.
  352. [18:59] Nanzo didn't seem to make a move at the display of power. Dok Zong would stand strong he knew them to be one of those within the Mire who could evenly stand against himself. Still, as his gaze shifted towards Frekr and felt those envious eyes upon him?
  353.
  354. The Mutant's lips pulled back into a jagged tooth grin. Nanzo wasn't wealthy or rich. However, he did possess the mighty Ru Shang Yao and his own strength was infamous but within the Mire and without. So, unless the man could see raw power? Nanzo probably wouldn't keep his eyes for long.
  355.
  356. For the mutant his scarlet gaze trailed away from the Vanirhallan and passed along the various members of the circle. Resting on each other for a few moments.
  357. (Nanzo)

  359.
  360. [18:59] Dok simply raises his arms in the air as if to welcome the full force of Frekrs power. After all the construct was never one to avoid a strike, he welcomed death for he knew he would not die, no, he was already dead.
  361.
  362. "Of course you could, it would be suitable revenge after all." He pauses, chuckling lightly, his voice dancing around the room.
  363.
  364. "It was I who killed Olrok after all" He stated, looking to his hand as if examining fingernails that did not exist or admiring his own bones as if they were jewelry."
  365.
  366. "with his own blade no less as I consumed his very essence. You have outlived the wolf, you are special in that my mark has not led you to your death but to prosper."
  367.
  368. Watching as the Ex-Vanir lowered his arm Dok proceeded to slip his hands into pockets that formed as the metal fingers reached for the coat.
  369.
  370. "Of course, he asked for his death, I simply honored the wishes of a dying wolf."
  371.
  372. "You however, seek allies and aid in all ways you can. Your allies are your belongings just as you let yourself belong to them. Such is a curse and crutch that has brought you bounds from that day in the desert."
  373.
  374. "The choices are yours, they have always been. It was simply I who granted you the freedom that has led you to this very moment, to survive where you would have died many a time."

  397.
  398. [18:59] Frekr takes a deep, deep breath as he glares at Dok Zong, hearing these words. Olrok really was dead then - and it was this monster that had killed him. How strange that the very man that had welcomed him when Frekr arrived on Esshar, the very man that had went hunting with him and fought Dok Zong alongside him - was dead.
  399.
  400. And here Frekr was, standing as an ally to his murderer.
  401.
  402. Part of Frekr was sick over it. Part of him hated himself more than ever. Part of him couldn't believe he'd made the choice to join these abominations - in any capacity.
  403.
  404. 'But you did, and you can't change the past.' A familiar voice says from behind him. It wasn't the voice of Skoll's Shade no - it was someone else - something else.
  405.
  406. Turning to look over his shoulder, Frekr's eye twitches as he sees the shade of the werewolf Olrok standing there in wolf form, sword embedded deep in his skull. 'You can't change what you've done. You can't take it back. Those are your sins to bear. Your failures. Now live with them, you coward.'
  407.
  408. And Frekr knew he had no choice, glancing to the Shade of Skoll standing behind Nauticus. The Ookami looked at him with profound disgust and disappointment in his eyes. "So... This is what you've been waitin' for, y' old hound..." He'd murmer under his breath, before setting his eyes on Dok Zong again.
  409.
  410. "Then i' seems I really will 'ave t' kill y', one o' these days. I'll kill y' ten times o'er, t' take from y' ten times wha' y' ave taken from me, less y' find a way t' pay tha' debt 'fore th' time comes." He'd say very matter of factly.
  411.
  412. Take ten times what you have taken from you - a very Garljing way of thinking, but surely one Dok could appreciate.
  413. (Frekr Gullmunr)
  414. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  415.
  416. [18:59] Watching the gears turn was enough to feed the construct, seeing the hate, anger and hurt he had brought upon Frekr in this very moment even after everything the he had been through was an almost ecstatic sensation.
  417.
  418. After all, the very being that was Dok Zong was an amalgamation of everyone he'd ever fed upon. The cold calculative logic was something he had come to tear from Frekr the day they fought and it had simply grown in that time.
  419.
  420. "Yes, perhaps you will kill me one day, perhaps not. But if that is what stirs your soul then so be it. I am a being of consequence, born of the follies of man, it is only fitting that I would fall to my own."
  421.
  422. "Such is the beauty in the art that is futility is it not?"
  423. (Dok Zong)
