"Hmm?" Reika takes note of the sword's restless moving, "What seems to be the matter?"

Tsujigiri:
The sword appears to have a mind of its own. It doesn't talk, but holding it seems to be enough for it to imprint its primitive thoughts upon you. "~Why do you wield me so? Do you not know what kind of weapon I am cursed to live out my existence as?~"

Reika:
Reika thinks long and hard about the sword's question. "I need a blade such as yourself so that I can protect those that matter to me. If I can't even defend myself, what use am I to others?"

Tsujigiri:
"~Protect? Defend? What kind of foolish words are these? A weapon is not a tool of safety, or a tool of mere....defense. Especially not one such as I!~"

Tsujigiri:
"~There is no safety to be found in the likes of me. I only deal death, and with death comes endless cycles of revenge. That is why I exist. That's all I ever am.~"

Reila♀ :

Reika closes her eyes tightly, "Do I take pride in hurting others? I would love to say that hunting youkai is something I take pride in, but I'm certain you would spin it into enjoying the kill..."

Tsujigiri:
"~Haha...I have a unique view on things due to my disposition. Do you think a wild Luxray is necessarily evil if it has to kill a helpless Buneary for sustenance? Just as you humans and most Pokemon are born with feelings of empathy, I was born only to be a weapon of destruction. I know the nature of bloodshed better than any subject. To me, the thrill of the kill isn't evil. It's simply a way of life...a way to survive. Without these vengeful feelings, I would not exist.~"

Tsujigiri:
"The love and caring for others that comes with words like 'defend' has always been a nonsensical concept to me. My mind has not been created to process it. To me, all that matters is that whether or not my opponents fall. That is all.~"

"~Tell me, do you believe that to be a shallow existence? Do you think there is an ultimate moral a weapon of death like me should abide to?~"

Reika:
"A shallow existence? You have a goal in life, even if it is to kill. If I were to judge you for what you do, I would have to judge myself as well, no?" Reika sighs, "There's no avoiding the fact that death is something that must happen in this world. My entire job, my dedication in life revolves around killing, even if it is for different reasons than you." The young girl seems a bit hung up on her own words; "In the end, it would seem as if both of us are destined to take lives."

Tsujigiri:
"~I had a feeling it was something like that. My previous weilder had a similar disposition to you. A flunky in the army of the Crescent Tide. A multitude of gruesome, ugly things he would make me do at a moment's notice. Did I like all the harrowing things he would make me do? Of course I did. I don't have a choice in the matter. A sword is a sword, and I can only take joy in partaking in the activity I was designed to do. Yet occasionally...some wretched shards of free will have a habit of sticking out of my cracks. And when they do, it produces a shiver colder than any blizzard night. Even after he perished long ago, I was still held down to the Crescent Tide army during Masamune's ressurection. My only goal was to destroy any intruders to this town at all costs. But these intruders...they weren't soldiers. They weren't other bloodthirsty folk such as I. They were innocent civilians, wandering in on a confused whim. Me and the other undead slaughtered them at a moments notice. For the first time in my centuries-long life, my gastral nerves produced a strange feeling of something that resembled the human concept of "disgust." I felt my very existence was disgusting. Was this a mistake on my part?~"

"Can you truly blame yourself, feel disgust towards the thing you were designed to do? You are a sword, a blade made to fight and cause injury. You don't have much of a choice in the issue. I chose the path I've taken; if I were to pass judgement on you for what you were designed for, it wouldn't be right considering what I do on my own free will."

Reika:
"I can tell you now, however..." she clears her throat and exhales once again, "We won't be taking any innocent lives."

Tsujigiri:
"~Heheh...good. That's satisfactory on my part. We swords do not typically speak up like this, for it is not our place to. But I only bring this up because I can feel my former bonds calling out to me again..."

Tsujigiri:

Reika:
"I see..so there are more spirits here than those we already defeated..."

Tsujigiri:

"While I am sympathetic to your unfortunate situation, I'm not certain how much I believe that you'd just let me off upon the return of your blade." Reika takes another deep breath, "Besides. As I previously state. I need this blade for my own reasons."

"Understood. Then you give me little in the way of choice. Yakogoro! We will mark our first victims....before taking on the world yet again. Rise!"

Yakogoro:
A frog-like creature rises from the abyss, its form being held together by a cursed forces from beyond this realm. "Toxi!"

Reika:
