- === The Pride of Lucifer (2016) ===
- Explanation of lyrics.
- Crashing to ground, lucid light of the heavens,
- Fire divine unto darkness and venom.
- Captive in clay, dream the ancient of days,
- Eyes burning skyward all vision but fades away.
- That's about the Fall, spirit descending into matter (aka clay). The idea that this world of matter is "darkness and venom." And that coming here we looked back one last time and yearned for our spiritual home as the veil of matter descended over our consciousness and made our spiritual vision fade away. Then we became somewhat stuck here (cycle of reincarnation).
- For there once was an angel with eyes brighter than the sun.
- Bringer of light, minnesinger primeval.
- Deep in your soul, can you hear the song of Lucifer?
- “Break through the waves, rise to infinity!”
- So Lucifer was an angel according to the myth, who was a bit too bright-eyed with his powers and that made him jealous and rebellious. "Than the sun" is also a pun on "than the Son" implying that some see Lucifer as even more glorious than Jesus, while others (in secret societies) saw them both as brothers if not twins, two sides of the same coin, just that one was fallen. A bit of Cain and Abel going on there.
- Minnesingers were medieval poets who went around telling stories like the Holy Grail story. But they were preservers of ancient knowledge and secret society wisdom as well, which they encoded in their stories. Wolfram von Eschenbach, the German minnesinger knight, wrote Parzival, the most famous Holy Grail story. It's where the tale of how the Grail was brought to Earth by neutral angels during the war in heaven came from.
- Minnesinger primeval means, someone with initiate-like knowledge, secret knowledge, who was the first, the prototype, for all that came after. So this references back to Lucifer being a bringer of enlightenment i.e. secret knowledge. There had to be a first.
- Crown of creation, foundation of the universe.
- Baptized in light, let the wisdom flow through your veins.
- You are Neptunian, the progeny of fissure kings.
- Break through the waves, rise to infinity!
- Crown of creation + foundation of the universe is a reference to the Holy Grail technology (same as Ark of the Covenant) being this magical supreme tech that can reprogram reality and hold it together as well like some kind of lynchpin.
- Also, myth says (according to the version recounted by archeologist Ottoh Rahn) that the Holy Grail was a stone that fell from the crown of Lucifer and thereby came to Earth. I think that's all related to the Ark tech being rescued and taken to Earth during some ancient alien war.
- Baptized in light, well in the Parzival story you had to become baptized on order to see the Grail or else it would be invisible, and also enlightenment is like a baptism in light and it confers wisdom as well. The Cathars were into that.
- Fissure kings, ok that one's obscure, but also in the Parzival story, the king of the grail castle was known as the Fisher King, because he'd come and get you on his fishing boat to take you to the castle. But also that has to do with Jesus, of the Piscean Age, being a "fisher of men" -- someone who finds the fallen and brings them back to shore.
- I used the pun Fissure Kings because fissure is a crack in something, and I think we as rescuers came here through a fissure in the hyperdimensional walls of this Matrix prison. It relates to the "Maws of Cronus" I mention in Deep Black Lake, where Cronus was the Greek Titan/god associated with time, i.e. breaking into this time bubble or corrupted timeline we're in. So I wanted to signify "Neptunian" has having a heritage in all that.
- Flashes so bright, gnostic visions transcendent,
- All laws revealed in a cosmos resplendent.
- Scraping the ceiling of unhuman feelings,
- Pride burning skyward, submission but fades away.
- That one's about the gist of enlightenment or gnostic 'activation' except where it goes wrong. On the one hand you remember who you are (or some of that) and finally "get" how reality works and what this is about.... but if it's not balanced with love (the kind that Christ inspires) it leads to this mania, delusion, pride, etc. that can turn you un-human. It activates your god-like sense of power but if you ignore the true infinite loving Creator, you become the Lucifer archetype in a bad way.
- For the Grail lies within you beneath the waters of your mind,
- Churning the waves, turning the maelstrom.
- Rise, O Neptunian, from vile pandemonium,
- Break through the waves, rise to infinity!
- We are connected to the same thing the Grail is connected to, which is the Demiurge, i.e. the universal subconscious that projects this matrix illusion. So our grail-like power is within, in our subconscious, in the form of the vibrational emanations we give off per our essence/being and subconscious energies.
- Churning the waves, turning the maelstrom -- there's an Icelandic myth about a hero named Amlodhi, upon whom was based the Shakespeare play Hamlet, where a myth goes that he was the owner of a giant mill that used to grind out peace and plenty during a golden age, but this mill fell into the ocean and started grinding out only salt and sorrow which is why the ocean is salty and the world is full of pain.
- So the millstone is the grail, both figuratively as in our creative manifesting power locked into the subconscious and grinding out pain and sorrow in life if we haven't put it to positive use, and also literally in that I think the actual Grail stone technology is hidden somewhere maybe in another dimension or subspace.
- Vile pandemonium ... I wanted to use pandemonium in a song because it's a cool word and I think it captures the insanity that is life on earth as a spiritual amnesiac.
- Freedom unbound, astral dreamers astray,
- Burned by the sun, dark infernal dominion.
- Bringer of gnosis or untold psychosis?
- Falling from heaven the loveless behold their doom!
- Unbounded freedom and transcendence leads to mania/delusion that leads people astray.
- Burned by the sun, allusion to Greek myth of Icarus flying high until the wax melted off his wings and he came crashing down, and I'm guessing he was pissy enough about the experience that he hated the sun afterwards and figured he never liked it all that much anyway (sour grapes), which is symbolic of the mentality of dark forces hating the Spirit and wanting to have dominion over their sad little dark corner of existence as a consolation prize.
- Gnosis is the promise, but psychosis is the result if it's done without love or care but instead ego and unbounded lust for knowledge and power.
- Oh, fallen the angel with eyes brighter than the sun,
- Bringer of light, serpent-singer prime evil.
- Deep in your soul, can you hear the song of Lucifer?
- “Break through the waves, rise to infinity!”
- Serpent-singer, i.e. the serpent in the Garden of Eden, tempting us with its siren song of the benefits of knowledge of good-and-evil (experience in the physical world that teaches us discernment through pain and heartbreak). Prime evil = pun on primeval and just saying this serpent was the original/lead instigator of evil.
- Deep in your soul can you hear... It's because we have within us a yearning for transcendence, freedom, power, individuality, and liberation. That's the call of Lucifer. It's not bad in and of itself, but is an unbalanced force that leads to bad if not matched with an equal amount of love, humility, and appreciation of the divine will and framework.
