  59. Optional readings below to better understand the team and the testing that went into making the team.
  60.
  61. Play Style: Describe the major idea behind playing each mons
  62.
  63. 1) MLop is the Perfect Lead and the Superstar of the team! Kelli is her name and she counters and/or provides valuable information about EVERY fast threat in the meta game as well stall leads. Examples include; greninja, koko, Zard-Y, MManectric, Sabeleye, Smeargle, MHoundoom. Her 135 speed tier allows her to out speed every threat in the game (barring a scarf) and opens the opportunity for a late game sweep with Power-up-Punch into HJK/Return. Ice punch offers great coverage over PUP.
  64.
  65. 2) Unaware Clefable is a staple of the team. With scarf latios and slow mons like tangorwth and marowak, the team is susceptible to opposing setup teams. Clefable can easily switch in on a SD or DD and toxic / wish-protect stall it out. Wish passing is also an option
  66.
  67. 3) Tangrowth is the special wall with valuable knock off to remove it's counter mon's item on the switch-in. Great for bulky mons like Fini or Milotic. HP ice can remove lando, zygare and mence. Consider HP fire over ice for ferrothorn since most ferro feel comfortable switching in on a tangrowth.
  68.
  69. 4) Scarf Latios is arguably the best scarf mon as it is the fastest scarf besides the uncommon scarf gren. Trick can cripple stall teams and fast defog can guarantee defog if necessary. Fast psychic beats MVenusaur, scarf Nihilego, MLoponny while draco kills setup dragons like zygarde, mence and garchomp as they SD/DD on the switch to latios.
  70.
  71. 5) Marowak-Alola is a bit out of place and the slow speed tier opens up a weakness for the team. The major reason Marowak is here is for rocks, but because of his slow speed tier, marowak opens up the opportunity to outplay your opponent. Thick club flare blitz does 75%+ to offensive Lando at -1 Att! Everything weak to fire of ghost will die if one of these attacks land. Most marowak counters will predict a switch or u-turn since marowak is so slow and has no priority. This opens up a chance for a massive flare blitz or free rocks. Max HP, max Att Marowak is also a great counter for massive threats like Magerna, Ferrothorn, Scizor and Heatran.
  72.
  73. 6) Tapu Koko is potentially tied for MVP with Kelli. This unique physical build with Z-wild charge, taunt, nature's madness and u-turn makes Koko an excellent stallbreaker against ANY stall, especially Chansey, Skarmory, Clefable, Sabeleye and Toxapex. Wild charge and u-turn allow koko to do max damage against offensive opponents and maintain momentum. Z-wild charge with terrain will OHKO pretty much everything doesn't resist, even with investment in bulk. Examples include; 90% chance to OHKO Max HP MScizor after rocks, 50% chance to OHKO Max HP / Max Def MSableye after rocks, 80% damage to max HP / max Def Chansey - use natures madness into wild charge as Chansey is a common Koko switch-in because it walls ALL special attacks and koko is NEVER physical, 40% chance to OHKO RESISTED Latios after rocks, anything weak to electric dies NO MATTER WHAT! 75% chance to OHKO max HP / 192 Def (bold) Toxapex WITH Aurora Veil up and NO rocks... 100% OHKO with rocks.
  74.
  75.
  76. Match ups: What Pokemon to look out for on your opponents team
  77.
  78. Bad Matchups:
  79.
  80. 1) Stall teams can be a hassle if Koko or MLopunny goes down and impossible if both go down.
  81. 2) Flying/Psychic/Fairy types WITH a scarf
  82. 3) Offensive Lando with z-fly is frustrating - almost always gets a kill
  83. 4) MPinsir is the biggest threat to this team as return into quick attack kills everything on the team. There are no switch-ins. If Pinsir is on your opponent's team, rocks MUST go up immediately and after you sack a mon to return, go into Clefable to toxic.
  84. 5) MLopunny and MManectric can cause a lot of issues due to speed tier. Scarf Latios is a great counter.
  85. 6) MMedicham is a massive threat as well. MLop and Koko can deal with but there are NO switch-ins.
  86. 7) Wish passing and self healing opponents are difficult because this team has limited setup capability.
  87. 8) Weather teams are difficult: Use MLop Fake out, Clef wish / protect and tang regen to stall weather; For rain teams, Scarf Latios out speeds Jolly MPert, tang walls pert and kingdra pretty well. koko maintains momentum and threatens pelipper, Marowak is useless besides getting up rocks. For Sun teams, Koko and MLop out speed non-chlorophyll abusers, Scarf Latios beats Venusaur, Marowak rocks are excellent and flare blitz will deal MASSIVE damage. Growth is useless. Sand teams, growth is a great wall, MLop fighting type is excellent, Clef can be amazing against anything besides drill. Hail teams, most difficult because Veil cripples our offensive and there is very limited setup potential. Koko can taunt and u-turn to keep momentum. Clefable is AMAZING because unaware. MGyarados is the biggest threat due to mold breaker.
  88. 9) Status teams; toxic, burn and paralysis
  89. 10) Seeds with poison typing
  90.
  91. Examples; Landorus (Z-fly), MPinsir, MMedicham, MLopunny, MGyarados, MSabeleye, Clefable (magic guard), MZard-Y, Excadrill. Jirachi (scarf), Latios (scarf), Kyurem-black, Mew, Rotom-wash, Tapu Lele (scarf), Zapdos (defensiveness), MAlakazam, Staraptor (scarf), Thundourus, MVenusaur, Amoonguus, MGardevoir, Gengar (scarf), Tangrowth, Porygon-Z (Z-conversion).
  92.
  93. Good Matchups:
  94.
  95. 1) Offensive teams that are out sped by MLopunny and/or Koko
  96. 2) Teams that rely on setting up to do damage - can be taunted or switch to unaware clefable
  97. 3) pretty much all steel types, especially slow types.
  98. 4) Teams with misty terrain as it prevents my team from being status and Fini has many counters
  99. 5) Offensive teams without scarf and little bulk - growth and tang provide a great wall along with max HP marowak who counters most their counters.
  100. 6) Teams weak to rocks
  101. 7) Trick room teams as growth and marowak are slow - consider giving them 0 speed IVs.
  102. 8) ground and flying/dragon types as growth and clef are hard walls
  103. 9) ALL setup dragon types because clef walls
  104. 10) Webs team - Koko can taunt and terrain prevents sleep. Clef unaware prevents setup.
  105.
  106. Examples; Greninja (protean and Ash), MManectric, Koko, Bulu and Fini, Heatran, Magnezone, Celesteela, Chansey, Skarmory, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, Jirachi, Kartana, Keldeo, Magerna, Manaphy, MHoundoom, Serperior, MSlowbro, Azumaril, Breloom, Smeargle, Garchomp, Dragonite, Salamence, Zygarde, MGallade, MZard-X, MAbomasnow
  107.
  108.
  109. Possible Changes:
  110.
  111. 1) Give scarf Latios a 3rd move over trick of defog
  112. 2) Change MLopunny's PUP to ice punch (quick attack, encore and healing wish are also options)
  113. 3) Run HP fire on tang over HP ice to deal with ferrothorn, scizor, foretress (keep in mind that MLop and Marowak deal with these already)
  114. 4) Marowak-Alola sometimes feels a bit out of place on this team: major changes should occur in this slot if you desire. Try running full offensive wak with flame charge, or full defense with will-o-wisp. Try a different rock mon like heatran or maybe landorus/garchomp.
  115. 5) I wouldn't make any changes to Koko! You could try Adamant and rely solely on MLop to out speed gren and the likes.
