TSW 20: Robin gives up

[17:43]	IcePickLobotomy	RobinE: You find Walker in her office after the debrief. It's a surprisingly warm room, a pleasent brown shag carpet with matching wood paneled walls. Her desk is dominated by a type-writer. reams of paper, and folder-files. The back wall is taken up by a book shelf. A model air-craft carrier and a few medals in stands share room with several technical manuals, and other books there. Walker...
[17:43]	IcePickLobotomy	...motions for you to take a seat. "Afternoon Robin, how are you doing?"
[17:44]	RobinE	"I...um... is this a bad time," she clearly looks nervous.
[17:45]	IcePickLobotomy	"No, go ahead." She sets aside some of the papers she was looking over.
[17:46]	RobinE	"Ok," she sits down quietly, "Something's wrong."
[17:47]	IcePickLobotomy	She nods.
[17:47]	RobinE	"I know I'm here to fight, but I don't know if I should be here."
[17:49]	IcePickLobotomy	"And why is that?"
[17:51]	RobinE	"I can barely get a hit in battle, and I keep having memory problems, Lana is starting to mess with me..." she keeps going, counting on her fingers and sounding more stressed with each point.
[17:52]	RobinE	"...and what happened with Kasra..."
[17:52]	RobinE	"...That thing that was chasing us..."
[17:53]	IcePickLobotomy	"You want me to remove you from the active duty roster."
[17:54]	RobinE	her rant stops, "you would let me?" she looks up with hopeful eyes.
[17:55]	IcePickLobotomy	"We. . . do have another unit coming online, the pilot is undergoing acclimitzation and training as we speak, she'll be ready for transfer in a couple of months, though I could expedite that if we had a gap in our roster. I had planned on putting her on the reserve list while she was hear."
[17:58]	RobinE	"It would be for the best. I think," she looks to the floor.
[17:59]	IcePickLobotomy	"Look Robin, if I take you off she gets transfered here now, do you think you can manage until she finishes her training or are things really that bad?"
[18:00]	RobinE	"How long do you think her training will take?"
[18:01]	IcePickLobotomy	"2 or 3 months, though she's getting that long due to us not being able to deploy more than 6 units at once here."
[18:03]	RobinE	"That is a while. What if something else crazy happens, or I start to forget more things?"
[18:15]	IcePickLobotomy	"Robin, I'm not going to try and convince you otherwise if you feel this way. You've been here almost as long as Kasra, you know what's at stake here." She rummages through her desk and hands you a packet of papers "Fill these out in triplicate and get them back to me. When you do I'll take you off the active duty roster."
[18:17]	RobinE	For once in a long time, Walker sees a genuine smile on Robins face, she looks up to walker teary eyed, "Thank you."
[18:19]	IcePickLobotomy	She nods "I do what I can for my pilots Robin. It's not much these days but. . ." She shrugs helplessly
[18:20]	RobinE	stands to leave the room, papers in hand.
