Traversing the waterlogged ground, you hear what sounds like something hard at work - strained voices and the...gnawing of wood? The source is quickly revealed to be a bunch of weird, buglike Pokemon attempting to get through a tree that looks like it was recently knocked over, and now blocks the entrance to something or other. Whatever it is, they certainly want to get in.

Once again, the Swadloon rushes the log, but this time, meets it with the sound of...a slash? The log, now cut in two, falls away, revealing something that certainly isn't a Swadloon. The new Leavanny gloats over its accomplishment, then extends a bladed arm toward Rivi, as if challenging her to a duel!

And so you enter Route 3. You poor, poor bastards. The waterlogged, mushy, and swamplike ground sags under your feet and almost seems to be trying to suck them under, making walking more of a chore. The air in the forest is thick and the humidity palpable, meaning that even with the relatively cool temperatures, you know you'll be soaked in sweat soon. Gnarled trees snake upwards all around you, and the resulting canopy blocks out most of the sun's light, making the area that much more foreboding. Like any good swamp, there are mushrooms abound here, and you can even make out a couple that look almost edible! As well as a few that seem a bit less hospitable than your average mushroom. Also, more movey. Neverminding that, a slow, steady river winds its way off to your left, and you notice a bridge a few hundred yards into the distance. If you look hard enough, there are slight breaks in the treeline here and there, and it should be easier to move around if you solely head for them, but surely wild Pokemon have the same thoughts... Speaking of which, roll for Perception.
