Things have been pretty decent lately irl. I'm getting a new phone and phoneplan which is a huge upgrade from my old one. Now I can watch streams during my lunch breaks at work which is great and should hopefully make my days go by a little faster. School has been going fairly well despite my lack of motivation but after saturday I should be in the clear for a little bit to take care of some things.

Gamecube:
The big thing I want to do next week is look into that gamecube that is at my local retro games store and see if it is the correct model I'm looking for (DOL-001). Once I get that I need a gameboy player / hdmi adapter / an AR Disc and a japanese katam cart. Hopefully I should be able to get those and start running katam again on console to get 29 and/or 28. If I feel like spending more money I will also get a snes adapter for my gamecube but I don't think I will get it immediately. Overall this is a huge investment for me and I can't wait to finally go all in on this game. Yoshi's Island:
I played Yoshi's Island earlier this week and I absolutely loved the game. The game feels absolutely amazing to me so I was interested in learning a speedrun for it. Yesterday I finished learning the Any% Beat Bowser category, I was a little surprised on how easy some of the glitches were to learn but I will need to do a lot of practice before I can start running. I think I will start running on stream starting next Sunday.

Squeak:
Cabbage took away my chance of getting 3rd (for now), gg Cabbage. I think I'm going to drop this game in favor of Katam and probably pick any% back up after the katam tournament early next year. Coming up on December 28th at grand ol' 4am (pt) is Squeak 100% at RTA in Japan. I want to familiarize myself with this run so I can have a good viewing experience and possibly commentate the run. I ABSOLUTELY will not be commentating the run if it is at 4am my time but if it ends up getting pushed before 12am or after 6am I would definitely consider english commentary if rta in japan would like me to (or if there even is an english restream, i forgot if there was one last time).

Katam:
I briefly talked about 29/28 in the gamecube section. My motivation for this is due to many jp runners picking up the game and getting 29's and 28's sort of forming a wall that is kind of like the infamous 31 wall. Along with the tourney, I think gamecube will allow me to play the game at a higher level than I ever have before, giving me a lot of motivation. I am partway through making a Katam Any% guide which is being made specifically for the tourney for everyone who would like to learn the game. I also want to do a blindfolded katam run where I will have another degen guide me through the game (if one of them is up for it). I'll hold off on 100% for now until I feel like it.

Mario Kart Wii:
I'll get back to modding next week. Game is fun as hell but I don't see myself streaming it often at all.
