  27. I actually like the writing and a lot of the details though, I just can't handle the main subject matter. I keep trying to get through it to get to the parts where the interesting stuff is supposed to happen but instead I just make myself sad and anxious and I can't eat anything but pilot bread and peanut butter for a while after that.

I only stomached the first set of stories, it does not matter if the best god damn writer on the planet made that story, I personally do not enjoy the primary subject matter, I also got a sneaking suspicion that the story goes on to making Angel/Alastor some kind of super-overlords, which is an annoying outcome I've found in many Alastor x Angel stories (one good story I was reading ended with a literal last chapter tone swap where Angel and Alastor fking kill Lucifer, while Charlie just lets herself get abducted).

Likely my favourite Angel x Alastor story, great writing, good characterizations with the characters actually acting like how I would expect them to, its more of a slow burn in terms of the relationship change and even then I'd argue its not fully a 'Al loves Angel' story. Main sad thing is the story stands unfinished, but 95% of the story was written and you could kind of guess how the story is going to end.

  39. Another one of those slower burn stories, interesting take on Angel with the story showing the mental health abuse he has suffered over the decades and the coping mechanisms he uses that are not just drug usage. Does somewhat drag on the coping mechanism but has a nice conclusion.
