- Chapter 16. Hero.
- Dyonissius was tired. He had been fighting off the mooks for hours now. There were more coming, many more.. It was a difficult struggle, his armor was destroyed, he was bleeding, but he had to do it. He gathered his strength and marched on. With all he could, he summoned his swords once more. The incoming mooks were blasted away by the light. He retreated, holding his wounds, as blood streamed across his face, and his shirt.. It was now covered in it. He only had one sword up, and powerful. Rephion, from the seventh dream.. The sword of crisis. He... He had to make it. He had to be a hero though. Dyonissius tightened his muscles, as he moved on.., he went on to fight against the incoming mooks, swinging the sword so fast, in almost every possible direction, redirecting those bullets.. Ouch.. He got hit, once.. He went on, and entered the mook group, he proceeded to kill them, slash some in half, cut a few down the middle. More of them came. A couple of airon Guards followed by a bunch of mooks. He kicked one of the guards off, summoned the first dream sword, and released a burst of the lightning attacks in them. As the electricity struck the guards from above, they were fried, and dyonissius went on with massacring the mooks. He summoned his Madness sword as he created one more of those blasts, releasing it at the last two airships. Luckily , they were in line, and had yet not turned to face him, as the beam pierced them though their bodies, causing them to explode. It was getting difficult. He could barely run anymore, and the sun.. It was setting. Funny, the rain.. In a cloudless day.. And the setting sun. It made a strange look. That pleased him. It was beautiful. There was no rainbow though.. Huh... Batias had emerged from behind. Dyonissius turned and slashed him several times, sending him down, for the seventeenth time in this fight. And.. With the last of his powers, he used Ultimate Illusion one last time. He saw as there was no longer one of him, but thirty six, completely healed and powerful, each holding a different sword. As he rose his, so did the others, and they charged into action. The first released a serious of light ing bolts , together with several four times a man's size fireball, together with many kances of ice, before he hit the ground with his fist, as it opened up, taking the bodies of the many defeated mooks and dissapeared. The second held onto the red sword as he vanished and reappeared, slaughtering many, many mooks, growing stronger before he exploded into flames, killing some more. The third went on to spread darkness from his sword, and absorb the soldiers whole.. The fourth dragged in the mooks with his tanking force of the white sword, and then killed them all with the black one, each time suffering more damage, until he himself vanished. The fifth proceeded to absorb the incoming mooks, into black hole like bodies, many were taken.. Before he too vanished. The beam of destruction struck again from above, burning the land and ending mooks, as the sixth fighter went away too. Dyonissius was the seventh, holding his blade high and proud, keeping up with the fight. The eighth was a difficult one, as each time they thought they caught him, he vanished. More mooks went down, many , many mooks. The ninth , simply eradicated all that was in his path. With the spheres of light Dyonissius used before. The tenth, let loose the beast, which consumed many mooks. The eleventh changed into a gigantic form, releasing many beams of light from above, destroying lots of mooks. The twelfth.. He kept fighting slowly, but none of the hits was damaging. He would come back, as he was hit, and revive each time he died.. Until the mooks were gone as he vanished. The last, took the appearance of a great warrior, releasing electrical pulses all over, and ending mooks with ease, the fourteenth.. A massive draconic being which after letting loose its flames, disappeared. The fifteenth was a difficult one. He disappeared, and teleported, summoned exact copies of his weapon.. He was difficult to even spot. And so it went up to the thirty six. The illusion broke by that point. Dyonissius held his only sword left.. The one with the engravings.. The legendary light sword Rephion, as he could barely stand afoot. But he had to. Was he a hero? Then he had to hold the BFS as he stood in his feet, bleeding badly. Yeah.. He was a freaking hero. And he looked like one. Rais.. Rais had had a bit of trouble with a few mooks, but they were mostly focused on Dyonissius to notice him. And.. And he ran, seeing the ponds of blood, no.. Lakes of blood mixed with rain water.. And then Dyonissius. He stood there smiling as Rais came. It had been a difficult struggle. The man had been fighting thousands of mooks.. The whole army that Dr.Sonnemuz had to his disposal. And now, there was this... The last Asurans left.. Were Dyonissius and Nealon. He was in the presence of a legend. The boy ran, he ran the fastest he could, past the corpses, some of which had begun to release their stench, past the broken weapons, the destroyed vehicles, past a fallen airship. He.. He was getting lost, but in that entire place.. He could finally see. The only one standing. It was him.. Dyonissius. The fight.. It was almost over. There were just a few more words to say. Rais ran, not worrying about anything, he ran to his.. His only friend since a long time. He ran, and finally met up with Dyonissius. Apparently, the man was in his feet, despite him being bleeding like... Like bleeding. The ... The man who had decided to be a hero.. The elite mook who managed to decimate the army of the enemy. Amongst those Asurans.. Might have been people Rais knew... Was that right? Was.. Was it?
- "Dyonissius.. "-he had to say something, express his worry, but he was interrupt.
- "Born.. In the heart.. Of crisis.. And suffering "-said Dyonissius before he, before he was forced to stop due to pain. Yet.. He made no sound. "A burden to.. To the unworthy. A.. A light in the dark, for a hero... In.. In.."-and again he saw himself forced to stop out of pain, before again struggling to continue " in the heart of one that rules the skies. Rephion. The.. Skylight Lever. It.. Is is yours now. That is... Is what the guy who had it last time told me... said Dyonissius holding his wounds, as he dragged the handle, and Rais grabbed it.
- "But.. I.. I.. "
- "You.. You.. Must hold this BFS. A hero.. Can always hold a BFS with ease. If.. If you can't, you don't deserve the title. You my friend, are the hero . It.. It is your dreams, your intentions... It is your story, mine.. Mine is now over. Go.. Go.. Fulfill your destiny. "-Dyonissius said... And then...
- That wounded body had found strength, to speak one last time, as he really would, to.. To impart a few last words, as they should have been.
- "BE A HERO"-he shouted, as he gave , with one hand, a whack to the head to Rais... So he could remember.
- "Go now... Be... Be what i told you to be. And... Rais, can you... Say Hi to Ild (read: brutally torture him) when you meet him). Can you... High Asuran Rais? Can you be.. What I... What I tried to be? To.. To save this world? To... To.. To suceed into defending your beloved? And if they do die.. Make sure... Make sure you are badass enough by that point , otherwise.. If you need to pull the One Man Army moment.. It will fail.
- Rais nodded, as he ran away. What else could he do really? His mentor. A.k.a the guy he met for the past day and actually was a friend to him. A.k.a the freaking strong guy who was in charge of him and his fellow mooks. A.k.a the dying guy. He ran... Ran from that part of his life.. He.. What would he do? Of course.. Be what he was meant to be. He was now one of the last Asurans... The last of the High Asuran caste.. A legendary warrior. Rais would try to live up to that... But his is another story. He actually gets to live for a few years as a mercenary than something happens. The rest is all spoiler. Seriously.. Don't ask. Dyonissius kept walking , as he managed to finally see , what seemed to be the end of that bloody mess. And.. And right there, his strength wouldn't hold him up any longer. He was about to fall , and he did.. He fell on his back, lying in the ground. His ... His story had ended now? It had. He looked up, reminiscing again. His adventures as an Asuran, his brief time with Ari.. His past.. The betrayal.. The rise.. The rise of him as.. As what he should have tried to be in the beginning. A.. A good person. He could have been one, yet he was blinded. But now.. The light was so bright.. He could see it. And he was glad he did. For a second, he heard his parent's voice.. He heard his friends.. He heard Anos speak.. Then, Ari... He also heard her. The rain was still falling, yet.. Yet above him was a bright light.. It seemed as if the sun was there too. He could see their faces, he...
- "You.. You have been waiting for me?"-he said. He asked curious. And he got his response. Many "Yes"es , many nods.. They were all waiting for him there. How nice..
- "Very well then, because.."-he was about to finish, gathering the last of his power.
- "I'M COMING"-he shouted, before.. Before his head turned sideways, and his eyes closed. The rain washed the blood off his face and clothing, as.. A strange tune begun playing. At first., it seemed that it missed something.. A sad tune, over something missing, a reminiscence of the past... And then.. Fierce, strong.. The life of a hero... And lastly.. Soft again.. The.. The life ends. But it was all well lived. And the music... The music came from the awesomeness as it always did. But it had stopped. One chapter had ended (or will in a few lines .. Probably). And.. Eventually one more remained. As the legend of Rais would grow in time.. Another legend was to end, that of the Asuran General.
