  1. Ever since Link has been added to Maker 2, there has one character who I’ve wanted to be added, Kirby.
  2.
  3. The little dude has so much potential. He’s around the same size as small Mario, they already have Kirby playable in Maker 1 via Amiibo Costume, and his sprites from Kirby’s Adventure could fit in perfectly with the Super Mario Brothers 3 game style! The item to transform Mario could be a maximum tomato. And whenever you are Kirby, a picture would be displayed right by the bottom right showcasing which copy ability you have. But more on those later.
  4.
  5. As for what he could do, by default he would have a great number of jumps, but not infinite. Sort of like Kirby 64. He could do a slide kick, he can inhale things and shoot them out as stars, he could shoot out puffs of air by shooting out the air he holds in his mouth while flying. His inhale goes two blocks in front of him, and can inhale things through walls, unless they are on the other side of a wall that is blocked by the scroll lock feature.
  6.
  7. The copy abilities bring an even wider range of abilities to the table. Of course Kirby would need to inhale corresponding things in order to gain said abilities. In Kirby’s Adventure alone there are 25 unique abilities, with many more being introduced in sequels. They could bring in newer abilities and make them work with the NES sprites with few issues, since both the NES Kirby sprites are very simplistic, and Link never had the dash attack in Zelda 1, but they incorporated it into the Zelda 1 sprite sheet anyways. I will be mentioning abilities from games after Kirby’s Adventure, but I’ll try and stick to Kirby’s Adventure as much as possible. I will be evaluating every enemy + some items too see which one could give which ability, then I will go over the abilities and how they would function.
