Why my plan will not create "A New Gawker"

"Your plan will create the new Gawker"!!

No. That doesn't make any sense. Although we do have to create a new Gawker to one-up them in a way, this isn't it. All I'm suggesting is that our sites help promote eachother by crosslinking to other pro-gamer websites. And share a forum. That's it. No merging, no being all under a single person's control- nothing. If a website wants to leave the partnership they can. Because our websites will remain independent, they will not "collude". I'm not advocating for that kind of cooperation at all, and besides- they know better.
