- What if a gun had a soul? A gigantic mobile weapon from another planet is sent to destroy Earth, but is damaged on arrival and loses its memory. The characters are energetic, and quite likable, with more dimension than the standard kid's film. Heck, it even makes me like the 1950s, arguably the dullest, most white-washed decade of the 20th century.<br/><br/>Its funny, its suspenseful, its heart-warming...its just a good animated film in all areas. You'll love the kid, you'll love the suave beatnik artist, and of course, you'll love the powerful, mysterious, yet gentle, Iron Giant himself. Its defiantly one of those movies I'll keep returning to throughout the years.
- this is the best animated movie i have ever seen.it is more tragic than the lion king,have many laughs,and the story is very well written,and made. the movie have many phrases that may stay in my mind for a long time ,like :souls don't die. the ending is completely awesome and impressive 9/10

- Yes, in a deleted story board scene hints that the Iron Giant isn't the only one of its kind. When the Giant starts to sleep, his "dream" is transmitted to Dean's TV which shows brief footage of other Iron Giants.<br/><br/>However in the "Signature Edition" released in 2015, it is implied that the Iron Giant is the last of his kind, his planet having been destroyed by the war for which he was presumably created. a5c7b9f00b
