  1. Collectivism, according to woke individualists, is a far more discreet and totalizingly specific idea than how most would say it. WI's also say individualism doesnt prevent people from joining groups, but it isnt collectivism when they do it. My theory is of course that they're using collectivism to mean something other than Man's Tendency to Put Group Membership, Solidarity, and Needs Before His Own. Which of course exists on a spectrum with Man's Tendency to Put His Own Needs First. Both wax and wane depending on the situation: high risk, high stress, and high conflict situations calling for collectivism as we see from sports teams to militaries. Situations of safety and prosperity see a greater value placed on self-expression.

  3. This of course is far more descriptive of human behavior than proclaiming collectivism is a pathological behavior, only individualism is healthy, and that individualism can also extend to forming groups rather than something which has to exist in tandem with some level of group membership because humans have instincts for both.

  5. And collectivism in this sense is about protecting life, liberty, property, and values of the only group of people remotely close to the Individualist's ideal. So you can call it selfish because individualism is protecting everyone's rights, but it neglects that the basic building block of society is not an individual but the connections between them. It's more complicated than just "freedom from standards and duty is good."
